UH breaking out Oiler throwbacks

full on Columbia Blue Oiler uniforms are being worn for the UH home opener as a Big XII school

another attempt to bring in non-alumni fans from the Houston area

they have been marketing more and more stressing the Houston name on the school branding

I prefer the Scarlet and White uniforms

but these do look good

those are badass, i always loved the Oilers' unis. Personally, I always felt that when the team moved to Nashville, they should've just kept the Oilers moniker and the uniforms, similar to how the Lakers stayed the "Lakers" after they moved from Minneapolis to Los Angeles, many a year ago. Sure, Tennessee might not be known for the oil industry, but who cares? Tennessee Oilers would've been just fine with me.

but the color scheme is all Houston Oilers

Iowa represents a different area. The equivalent would be if Pitt decided to wear Steelers throwbacks. The Houston unis definitely pop, but it’s stilll weird.
