US Capitol breached

I know this is a serious discussion, but look at those pictures. I did chuckle a little. Some of them are just dumb *****. Whether or not you agree with the mask thing, if you are going to storm the Capitol, wouldn't it behoove you to wear one, if for nothing more than to conceal your identity?

And maybe not take pictures of yourself there on your cell phone.

Did you hear about the guy that had his work badge clearly visible that was part of the mob ? I seriously wonder if some of these folks expected to die that day and didnt give a ****.

Trump is a narcissist ...wouldnt you agree ? What feeds a narcissist on more than anything ? A psychological need for esteem and admiration. Trump has strong grips over his base...wouldnt you agree ? I guarantee you, if he were to go to Twitter right now and tell folks to "rise up on 1/20/21 and revolt against the "Deep State" and fight for this nations survival and make them bleed", you will have no less than 1,000 of his whackiest nutcases locked and loaded geared for a blood bath..and a bath in blood it would be.

BTW, Trump made over 250 million in donations keeping this election fraud myth afloat. Talk about getting played. Hes always gonna mine for suckers. But in some cases theyll just offer themselves...no mining necessary.

Yeah, but that isn't only Trump that could do that, not to excuse it. Do you remember when they overturned the Jesse James catch? Who can forget. Anyway, if Mike Tomlin said something about Steeler fans storming the league offices, you'd probably had about 1,000 that would have taken him up on it.

My point is that I somewhat disagree that anyone is that powerful. There have to be passions within the individual that would cause him or her to storm the capitol or whatever. The reason I used the example of Tomlin and the Steelers is that is one area in which I understand those passions. Note: it was an example, not some shot at Tomlin

Why were things like this not posted for the people who burned federal buildings and even tried to brick people into the one building. Seems like a lot of double standards and hypocrisy.

It’s always been a strange, unexplainable phenomena on the board to observe the rampant whataboutism which is so constant and prevalent around here, thread after thread.

I mean, here we are, a mere 48 hours after an unprecedented attack on the Capitol, and all you guys seem interested in discussing are events from the past, that have no connection to the topic at hand. We’re two weeks out from a presidential handover, a transfer of political power now wrought with chaos and violence caused by the outgoing party. Yet you somehow want to draw a parallel with a civil rights / police brutality issue that happened over a half a year ago. All the while skimming over the current topic, not addressing its ramifications, for which this thread was started to begin with.

So very strange.

No, I didn't see that. You give people too much credit, I think. Too many dumbass people running around.

Then we can label MAGA a domestic terrorist group.....based off the actions two days ago. Cuz it was DIRECTLY INVOLVED WITH the aforementioned in addition to planting explosive ordinances.

I didn't realize that MAGA was a non-profit organization...oh wait, that's just BLM. So, feel free to label a campaign slogan as a domestic terrorist.

Democrats are now calling for criminal charges against Trump for what occurred on the 6th..

This is just the beginning I am afraid..

Watch how this will morph further to include Republican Senators and congressmen who supported Trump over the past 4 years, media personalities who supported him, people that are supporting him through social media platforms, and most concerning those who voted for him.

This truly is becoming more and more concerning for the country's future as we know it..

hopefully Im wrong..

We've had all sorts of discussions about what transpired on Wednesday, with many points of view. Did you miss them?

The parallels and differences between this incident and the liberal-approved riots of this year is a valid topic of discussion

What idiot came out and said as much? They should be prosecuted, fired, etc if they find anyone supporting the Trump camp? Maxine Waters came out and encouraged to harrass any Rebublican eating or out and about. How many D approved and supported the riots and looting and said there should be more? Was that Harris, AOC, that bald chick? Yea, the party of peace and unity.

Turn off the news. Best thing you can do. I’m serious.

In hindsight, maybe violently storming the Capitol wasn't such a great idea by the MAGA brainiacs, encouraged by the President. Who wudda thought?

Maybe it was these six Republican lawmakers who took part in the seige that were confused to be Antifa members? Perhaps.

This must be like Christmas, the extended January Edition for you, Tibs. The joy that this must be bringing you. I just can't imagine the amount of Jergens you are using. People that broke the law being brought up on charges is a crazy concept and all. It's probably unprecedented.

LMFAO, in plain words, "Don't go back and expose my hypocritical bullshit"

No, don't pass the blame and look for scapegoats and diversions. Don't look to me to give you comfort for the actions of this President and his supporters. You guys made the bed, now lie in it.

If it ruffles your feathers and you don't want to follow this story, as the fallout from Wednesday's insurgent attack on the Capitol plays out, probably a good idea to close this thread.

Looking forward to seeing your incessant, loud and clear condemnation of Wednesday's insurgent attack by the MAGA mob on the Capitol. At least on the same level of outrage you all showed this summer during the BLM riots, cranked up to the same 10+ volume as then.

I'm here for it, this is happening here and now.

I'm sure you'll jump at the opportunity to express your anger and outrage over the attacks against police officers, the destruction of property, the looting and vandalism that has happened. As well as express your utter contempt for the ongoing lies and deceptions that the Trump camp has put forth regarding election fraud, and the hell it has unleashed upon the nation.

The floor is all yours.

BLM riots had many peaceful protestors, some violent thugs, and probably a sprinkling of right wing extremists stirring the pot. It was all encouraged, supported and egged on by some elected officials

January 6 had many peaceful protestors, some violent thugs, and probably a sprinkling of leftwing extremists stirring the pot. It was all supported, encouraged and egged on by some elected officals.

All of these things can be simultaneously true. If you can't admit that you MIGHT be a hypocrite.

But round and round we go.

Who the hell are you referring to? Nobody thinks breaking into the capital is a "good thing," and that we should "understand the violence."

But for **** sake, the garbage differential standard is something I am not going to take any more. Seriously, if you think I am going to link arms with the same lying, disgusting, vile millionaires who recently said "You know, there needs to be unrest in the streets for as long as there’s unrest in our lives," "protesters should not let up," "I just don't know why there aren't uprisings all over the country. Maybe there should be," "If you see anybody from the cabinet ... push back on them and tell them they're not welcome here anymore, anywhere," "I say we knock off Trump and then go after Pence. We have the power," and where one overtly racist organization - BLM - gets hundreds of millions of dollars in donations and treated by the press with kid gloves, you are nucking futs.

Do I chastise people bursting into our capital, destroying property? Sure. Always have.

But some of you buttwipes - you know who you are - were basically silent about billions - BILLIONS, with a "b" - in property damage and 43 murders stemming from protests following the death of a career criminal who had OD'ed on fentanyl before being arrested. You think you can invoke Alinsky's rule number 4: “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.” You impose rules on conservatives, the taxpayers, the ones who pay the bills while ignoring those rules completely.

So if you expect me to scream from the mountains until my lungs burn about one day of protests, sorry. No can do. I can change my book of rules just like the left.

Nobody has to defend or call out anything because NOBODY here is excusing or condoning what occurred at the Capitol building. The reason that "the same level of outrage you all showed this summer during the BLM riots, cranked up to the same 10+ volume as then" that much outrage was showed over the summer is because ignorant dumb ***** like yourself continued to condone and excuse the damage and violence that was occurring around the country. Nobody is falling for your bullshit because nobody is condoning the violence at the Capitol, as much as you keep trying to imply or solicit the same response.

Well, it bothers me that you don't consider the White House, the Supreme Court or the Capitol hallowed ground, symbols of a free and democratic Republic since its founding two centuries ago. That you don't differentiate between these buildings from some random building somewhere housing a Gap store, or a strip mall with a nail salon, a laundromat and a liquor store.

Look at you - now the the loony lefties run the show, time for "honoring our traditions" and "respecting property."

Too bad. I feel like tearing down some statues.
