Censorship is nothing to celebrate. What we are witnessing is nothing but raw weaponization of technology to crush all ideological dissent. And now they finally have the political cover to get away with it - perhaps permanently. This post is NOT about Trump. I am not defending him. But, if anyone thinks they will be satisfied with silencing him alone they are more than naïve.

Some will say, "Facebook, Twitter, Google are private companies... they should be able to do what they want. If you don't like them don't use them." Do you understand that they basically OWN the Internet? Apple and Google have now teamed up to effectively kill any competition who does not do exactly what they say by blocking their apps. Now it's not just a matter of finding an alternative to Facebook, Twitter and Youtube for your content and communication. Now it's a matter of finding an alternative to iOS and Android devices - between the two they have literally 100% of the market share.

Right now there is NO alternative. Big Tech completely has us all over a barrel. ALL of us. We would basically need to revert to pre-Internet days to circumvent their control over us.

It's impossible to overstate how much of a disaster this is for our civil liberties.

The fax machine was largely responsible for the Polish Solidarity revolution and fall of the Iron Curtain because it couldn't be monitored.

It does only apply to the government! My private company has fired employees for content they posted on social media. Those employees were protected by the first amendment from the government. They were NOT protected by the first amendment from their employer.

Chip, I have been on the sidelines for a few days as I need to walk away but this was/is indeed a coup and people need to wake up to that fact. The democrats have been trying for 4 years to overthrow Trump and they finally got the result they were looking for using a pandemic of all things and election fraud. Just look at the states that changed their election "laws" without going through the legislatures. I still do not know why nobody from those states did not file a lawsuit. Then I go back to the pandemic..Maybe that was it who knows.

I have not gone back in the posts to see what has been said but those idiots who breached the capitol were simply "double agents" to bring back a term from the cold war days. Agents hired by party A to put party B in a bad light for the consumption of an unsuspecting or easily manipulated public. So those agents raised holy hell inside and outside to Capitol to make the 99.9% of the crowd out to be blood thirsty maniacs. It makes me so frustrated that so many cannot see what happened is is continuing to happen based on that staged event, but fortunately there are millions out there who can see through the facade.

This is absolutely nothing new. It was carried out in Charlottesville to help influence the gubernatorial election in 2017. Beginning in about 2016, maybe earlier, local Democrats and their followers picked the Confederate statues as a source to cultivate divide. Media helped fan the flames. One of the main organizers for keeping the statues in place, who was found out later to be a lifelong democrat, appeared to be arguing to leave the statues as is (his name escapes me) organized a "Unite the Right" rally to help preserve the statues. Local police knew that groups were coming in from out of state and they knew trouble was coming to town. The night before the paid out of towners on the "Right" side scared the hell out of students at UVA with tiki torches and doing their best to imitate a Klan rally. That of course made the news.

Whelp the next day came and you had some locals show up and they peacefully protested for awhile for and against the removal of the statue in Lee Park. Nothing of any substance really happened. and then the paid out of state groups started going at it but the groups were separated. They appeared as if things were going to just disband and go home but for some inexplicable reason, the State Police corralled both groups together into the same street and holy hell broke loose.

From what I understand there was never a through investigation from an outside source like, lets say the FBI. If there was they would have likely found that both groups were paid by the same entity. The sole reason behind this was to make conservatives and Republicans who wanted the statues to be left alone to look like blood thirsty manics. In turn putting the Republican candidate in a bad light as one of his platforms was to protect the monuments as markers of history. Not for white supremacy or any of the other crap the media festered up and turned on him. Regardless the results of that election were very similar. Record votes cast and the loser had more votes than had ever been cast for a VA governor. The winner Gov Northram when home with a few more though. Oh yeah, another similarity. The Dominion machines were in place at the time as well.

Ironically and tragically one of the out of state actors plowed his car through a crowd of counter protestors and a young woman's life was snuffed out. In addition a state police helicopter crashed killing two troopers in what was a totally staged event. All to push public sentiment towards electing the democrat candidate. Of course that has never been brought to the forefront as the primary objective of everything leading up to the election but if you can see the signs and know how vicious the democrats can be, the points line up perfectly.

The same thing happened last week but on an infinitely larger stage and I'm very much worried about the future of our country. To the point that I'm laying awake most nights wondering what the heck is going to happen to us. For those who think I'm worried about Trump, this is not about Trump. He will be just fine. I'm worried about our country and our way of life. Our ancestors sacrificed so much to make this the best country in the world and we're watching corrupt politicians doing the bidding for who knows who, change it down to the core and in turn making a very elite group of people very rich and taking our country down the crapper.

I hope that those who may not vote the same way I vote or disagree on the little things can see what is happening and take a stand. I'm not talking about violence, far from it, but pay attention to what is actually going on and not just take cues from media and the entertainment industry who are trying to influence you. Pay close attention to who you are electing even if they have your favorite party next to their name. Reach out to your state representatives about election reform so we do not have to go through this again and tell your federal representatives that you want term limits set up so those in office are not there long enough to set permanent roots into the swamp. Those people have way too many connections and far too much power. They must be reined in for the well being of our citizens and our country. Take care of yourselves and take care of our country.

The Purge Is Here: Twitter Banning Influencers on Right, Removing Followers

The left and Big Tech have been moving quickly over the past couple of days.

The President of the United States has been booted off Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and Instagram. Shopify has booted MAGA merchandise from their stores.

Parler is getting pressure by both Apple and Google to ‘moderate’ their site, ‘moderate’ their belief in free speech. So far their CEO is refusing the pressure.

Meanwhile Joe Biden is thinking up a new law to deal with “ideologically-inspired” “domestic terrorism.” He declared the thousands of protesters who had been at the Capitol were “domestic terrorists,” making no distinction between those who committed crimes and those who had not (which was most of the people).

Twitter is going after anyone they think is violating the narrative. They’ve now booted a slew of well-know influencers on the right. More pointedly, they took down the people who were not posting anything offensive that would violate the terms of service but were questioning things about the Democratic narrative about the facts.

Among the people who have been booted:

Salem Media’s Kevin McCullough, who posted questions about the votes moving backwards in the Georgia run-offs and posted Trump’s video from his rally.

It’s getting bad and it’s obvious they’re cutting media influence of folks on the right to cut any question/dissent from the Democratic narrative. They’re trying to consolidate power now while they have the excuse of the Capitol protests to buttress the fascistic effort.

People are leaving for Parler although it’s presently not working. Not sure if that’s because it’s adjusting to the load or someone has taken it off line.

I thought maybe some of it might be people quitting Twitter so people are losing some of those people as followers. But Twitter’s explanation was hardly sufficient.

That doesn’t explain people losing thousands of followers.

It’s getting bad and it’s obvious they’re cutting media influence of folks on the right to cut any question/dissent from the Democratic narrative. They’re trying to consolidate power now while they have the excuse of the Capitol protests to buttress the fascistic effort.

People are leaving for Parler although it’s presently not working. Not sure if that’s because it’s adjusting to the load or someone has taken it off line.

I thought maybe some of it might be people quitting Twitter so people are losing some of those people as followers. But Twitter’s explanation was hardly sufficient.

So when you "left" did you simply stop using it or did you go an unsubscribe from everybody then delete your account? I'm guessing you just stopped using it so you should still count as a follower to everybody you following previously.
