okay, after the Schobert trade, if Cope's numbers are right we should be about $9.5 million under the cap right now. They were $6 million under after the trade but now reports are the jags are picking up half of the $7 million in salary for this season

Hopefully Watt's signing is next and could open up more space, but even if it doesn't, having over $9million in cap space to play with in the final weeks of pre-season gives the opportunity to add another piece to the puzzle.

So then, who should the Steelers go after? The obvious targets would be CB or OL help. So place your bets...who do they go after?

Or hell maybe another trade, who could we get for Snell and a 4th rounder???? (since Fu is past his prime)

Well and that’s a damn deep subject, I’m for going after Mitchell Schwartz if he checks out medically and isn’t expecting a big windfall.
I’m really worried about this makeshift OL of ours and think he can certainly help.
CB too is a concern but not that enamored with what’s out there though.

And please get TJ signed! The guy is the epitome of a true Steeler and has worked hard to be one of the top defensive players in the league. Pay the man now he’s certainly earned it.

For me it is easy you bring in a OT and a CB and call it a day.

First cuts should be soon....doubt any of those would be on our radar. But we’re getting close to fresh meat

With the contract Watt is going to get and the signing bonus he will command, I can't see us gaining any cap space. Even if they get a huge hometown discount and his signing bonus is only $50 million, that would be over a $10 million hit for this year, which is the same as it currently is.

I believe the oline will work itself out during the course of the year. I'd like to see them find a good cornerback to pair with with Haden.

Papillon

Agree, need OL and DB’s for depth if nothing else.

If they're looking for an OT, I would think it's probably a RT. They seem reluctant to pull the trigger and put Banner out there for long. Maybe his injury hasn't healed the way they'd hoped. Okung ain't going anywhere to play RT. And, I'm not sure I'd want Chuks back at that position. They worked Moore out there yesterday. But, do you trust him at a new position; making the switch so late in camp? So, what does that leave us? Hell, I don't know.

Interesting

They are just grooming Moore for swing tackle I think he is a natural LT. I do not have a lot of faith in either side one due to injury-obviously. The other due to performance or lack thereof. But with Banner you wonder if he will hold up or be hindered or even grow at the position. A lot of unknowns. I know it is difficult but whomever they bring in if they bring in I hope he is both side capable. A tall order I know. But a hope none the less.

Watt's Next?,,,Who's Next? ;)
