A bit tougher -- perhaps -- to understand.
In the video recorded by a mother, you can hear her tell her son he has to go because he voted for Donald Trump in a mock election at school.
"You want to vote for him. Come on. I'll show you."
The boy cries as he's escorted out and walked down the street from his house in Fresno.
"I'm just appalled by it," one neighbor said after seeing the video.
The neighbor said the boy's mother should have handled the matter differently.
"Explain to him why Trump would not have been the best vote for their household," Isoke Williams said.
The mother posted the video to her Facebook page -- which then got shared nearly 200,000 times.
It eventually made its way to Child Protective Services and the Fort Bend County Sheriffs Office.
On Friday, both agencies met with the mother and son.
"From the video, right now, I have to say no, (nothing illegal about the video) but it's an ongoing investigation," Joe Luera, FBCSO, said.
"Bye Donald Trump lover," the mother is heard saying as the boy walks out of the house.
"I've got school tomorrow," he's heard pleading with her.
"You've got school tomorrow? You should have thought about that," the mother responds.
Emotions have run all over since Trump declared victory and you can add this video to the many reactions we've seen.
But beyond that -- what's there to take away?
Why did the mom do this? How will the boy be affected, if at all?
"She's projecting a little of her anger onto her son. It is a little bit abusive. I think she thought it was fun. But in the end, he's probably going to be OK," Bob Sanborn, president and CEO Children at Risk, said.
