When do the Steelers tell Ben it’s time to step aside?

no he has been and he wasn't great today

but the OL is ****, the defense was weak and everybody was dropping the ball. and the mother ******* penalties....
That game had so many flags. A 15 minute quarter + commercials + flags turned into an hour snoozefest.

Well it's not like there is a viable alternative. I doubt Rudolph or Haskins would have changed anything.

Love Ben. Always will. Now that he is here for this season I would start him if he can go....but I truly wish he would have retired after last season.

Ben isn't even close to being the problem today
I mean the offense has two issues…
The oline is the most inexperienced and in-cohesive unit ive seen since Arians tried to turn Cowhers stable of road graters into ballerinas.. (actually that is an apt disruption in reverse…. Cause we are trying to go back to that aggressive drive blocking mentality and they aren’t ready yet…)

Also teams don’t respect anyone but claypool deep so they cheat coverage and don't fear clogging the middle on the other guys.

Both are fatal if not solved but both can be solved in season…

If someone wanted to blame Tomlin for something that absolutely is the head coaches fault they would target the absolute lack of discipline this team has… and I don’t mean the first bullshit OPI on claypool or the phantom roughing the passer… its all the other hotheaded or stupid penalties they take all the time

Ben looks like a senior citizen trying to navigate through a mosh pit at a Metallica show.

He should have rode off with Pouncey because this team is going nowhere.
well he threw for 318 yards, and that is with multiple drops and ****** OL play

Cmon. Really. That's like saying the defense played better in the 4th quarter. Context. He was absolutely *** today and frankly all but some very small situations all season. Im one of the biggest Ben apologists ever. But Jeez.

never said he played well. just pointing out the other issues. Ben was still able to avoid rushers at times but when he did, no one did there job and found an open spot like his receivers used to do Ben did hit plenty of guys in the hands and they left the ball on the ground. Ben is not the Ben of old, but he is still better than the turds on the bench.

But let's clearly define that they are turds going into next year's draft. Let's not wonder if cause this ****** season officially ended today.

Ben is playing like he did down the stretch last year. He has moments of good play, but over the course of an entire game he doesn't have the skills to get it done anymore without a lot of help. Without the help, he is a bottom tier starter. They can't move the ball and score and a big part of it is he will not use the entire field anymore. The QB is a huge part of the issue right now.

Coolie,I know you are not excusing Ben. The yardage stats are such bullshit. We used to laugh at high yardage guys padding their stats. The guys that were used to coming from behind all the time. The defense giving them their yards until crunch time. Kind of like Ben’s stats. My god. There are still people on here quoting Ben’s yardage stats from the last playoff game with Cleveland. Cleveland went into their prevent in the first quarter. Probably gave Ben 400 yards.

But when crunch time came today and last game, inside say the opponent 30 we have done nothing. Well except throw 2 yard passes. With less than one td a half.

I knew there'd would be some defending Ben's play today with his final stats. He was completely ineffective for about 75% of the day and garbage time in the fourth was a big reason why his numbers looked the way they did. Bottom line is the Steelers were in scoring position twice when they needed a touchdown and didn't come away with six either time. The line sucks, the wide receivers are overrated, but Ben is a huge part of the issue right now.

Fan,while I am not going to disagree with the OLine’s **** play. I challenge everyone to go back and look at the film for the last 2 games. Anytime the O got within scoring distance the line gave Ben time. Go look. Not saying they were perfect, but he had time. Joe Burrow got sacked 10 times before today’s game. QB’s get pressure. It’s what you do with it. To me,any chance of Winning at all left on Ben’s absolutely brutal int,in which he had all the time in the world. And then missing DJ on a wide, wide open TD,once again with all the time in the world. It’s not all on the OLine.

The OL sucks a dog's dick, Ben is not mobile, the WR's are not getting separation so Ben holds the ball.

Gee, I wonder where this is likely to wind up?
