Yeah but this is the Steelers and Tomlin...Everybody relax. He's never lasted longer than two years in any job he's ever had.

Exactly. They rarely fire coaches, they just let their contracts run out.Yeah but this is the Steelers and Tomlin...
Maybe Ben can be a player/coach.We could bring Ben in as a new OC
Just have him show up on game days, draw a few plays in the dirt for old times sake and watch what happens
Can’t be worse than Canada
Still in favor of the **** flinging monkey too as an option B if Ben is happy in retirement
Those are mostly untrue statements. I broke down the +5 turnover ratio and how it related to the offense in the "Mitch Trubisky" thread. No sustained drives. No third down conversions. Barely any deep throws. The Steelers should've put up 30+ today with that many turnovers. We lack talent, but it isn't that bad. Just a pathetic effort by Canada.
Plus the other possessions; not much happened regardless of how the Steelers came to possess the ball, with that one TD drive being the clear highlight. The rest was pretty dismal. Mitch didn't turn the ball over, but also made few upside plays outside of the TD drive and the last OT drive......on the upside, Harvin enjoyed a good day, with only one less than stellar punt. Those are mostly untrue statements. The Steelers scored 17 points off three turnovers (7 from the pick-six), and started the other two drives on their own 8- and 23-yard line. But the running game is indeed pathetic, and Canada still doesn't seem to know how to coordinate an NFL-caliber offense. I thought we'd see Trubisky moving out of the pocket by design a whole lot more.

It was a very conservative game plan… exactly like we do against the ravens… maybe we are going to play in our fears vs them from now on too…

Too long.Interesting. I would have guessed longer.
Geno has looked pretty good all night i was pretty surprisedThe Seahawks opening drive on MNF with Geno Smith at QB looks light years more competent than anything Matt Canada has called since he was promoted to OC.

Seattle just played their Super Bowl. Pete would have sold his soul to the Devil to beat Wilson.Seattle looked like a team that spent most of their practice time working on blocking people and not on BS high school tricks.
Mitch made an "upside play" of 31 yards to Freiermuth to set up the Steelers with a first-and-goal at the 3. Then they proceeded to run it up the middle twice for a total of one yard, before throwing it on 3rd down when the Bengals were expecting pass.Plus the other possessions; not much happened regardless of how the Steelers came to possess the ball, with that one TD drive being the clear highlight. Probably both. Has to be frustrating knowing you’re getting open and can make difference and your qb has time to throwPickens was visibly getting pissed. I couldn't tell if it was because of constant PI's not being called or the fact he was getting open but Trubisky wasn't looking his way.
It's too early to think.I know that would never happen but just curious as to what some here think in the comparison of O'Canada VS Sherman as OCs, best / worse ?
Salute the nation
But not to drink! It's too early to think.
It is obvious that Canada has no creativity as an offensive coordinator. On the goal line straight into the middle of the pile everytime. No creativity at all and it is hard to watch. Burrow used his legs to gain some good yardage Trubisky seemed stuck in the backfield. No rollouts even an option possibly could have worked but he just seems to call the same type of plays over and over. Vanilla vanilla vanilla. As for the short quick passes I am not against those at all they are very effective and open up a deep pass but we didn't run any it seemed. As for Pickett vs Trubisky im on the Pickett train all the way. I think he sees the field better and throws a better more catchable ball than Trubisky. Still need an Offensive Line but that is a whole other topic!
