William Jackson lll to Steelers

Ok anyone who defends this team or thinks hey these are professional coaches and professional FO personnel. They just ate 3 million dollars of the owners money and salary cap on a guy who practiced a couple times and went to injured reserve. I NEVER want to hear that line again. So you think you are as smart as Tomlin. Yes I do think I'm as smart as him or any of these nimrods. Like cmon. Many people here are. That is beyond ridiculous.

He has pictures and videos of Tomlin. You know the kind.

How wasn't a physical test done? Tomlin + khan ****** this **** up. If these continued **** ups don't open the owners eyes, then I think nothing will.

There is no way he could have passed a physical. He missed the last 3 or 4 weeks before the trade. He comes here and can't make it through 2 practices before he is put on IR. Cut him now. It makes no sense to keep him. Even if he gets back in 4 weeks, it will take another 2 for him to get on the field and another 2 to 4 to get comfortable playing with the D. The season is over. There is no way they better pay his ridiculous salary next year.

Lol yeah great move. I’m sure the nuthuggers will memory-hole this and claim to have never been for it. Tomlin and the FO have to go. We are the Cleveland Browns.

So two things… first him going to IR negates the conditions for the trade, so he won’t cost us a draft pick… but he still costs us against the cap… I was hoping Khan, being a cap expert, would realize what teams in other sports with caps realized long ago, cap space is a valuable asset and in the nfl, where it now rolls forward, even moreso… every penny we wasted on a 30 year old with a bad back in an already lost season, takes away from next year… which, by the way, if we retain him his 12 million cap hit basically erases any hope of bringing in a real good ufa to help anywhere…

Hell they could have waiver claimed him and not even risked the draft pick at all… he was certainly going to be cut

The cap space is the issue here. The Steelers are bad this year and either could’ve grabbed him off waivers or signed him for cheap in the offseason. It was a trade that never made sense.

Hoping there is a plan in place to renegotiate his contract for next year. Get his $$$ down to a managable amount. If healthy he is Probably better than what wehave

I'm in this "positive" boat as well. At times we have to trust those in charge and this may be one of them.

I know most on here know more than the Steelers brain trust. a lot of the guys on this board could get paid a **** ton of $$$ to work in the NFL but chose not to.

But maybe this is one of those times that the Steelers actually get something right and pick up a CB that will help the team next year.

If the Steelers keep him at his current cap hit, this new regime (if you will) is dumber than we could have thought. If they keep him, he has to take at least a 50% pay cut.

We might as well go get a good CB in free agency without gifting 3M cap that could have rolled over from this season. Who even knows if WJIII will be any good after injuries at 31 y/o.

Well I'm not going to make one dime in the NFL.......but I would know if a guy could play before trade for him and pay him 3 million dollars.

What a stupid way of pissing away 3 million in cap space, for absolutely NOTHING

We have a trade subject to a physical with our people. It's that ****** simple. He can't survive a few non contact practiced cause his back was ******. The proof of this is in the pudding. They paid. He can't play. There is no impressive long game here. It's just a stupid move. If the Beowns made it what would you say.....

when WJIII comes back and shuts down his side of the field

I don't want any of you celebrating his awesomeness

if he sucks

oh well it was worth a shot

if he wants to stick around next season he needs to cut the team a deal

He made more against the cap for a couple non contact practices then the starting Q and Running back. He was going to be released and in the condition he was in and the way he was playing I don't see how he is on the field. If they loved him and he gets healthy intheoff season they could have made a run at him. Or one of 15 or 20 guys as good. I have never heard the term shut down connected to his name and he is 30.

Well, apparently by placing him on IR, he won't meet the playing time needed to require the Steelers to actually give up the 6th round pick for him. So, there's that.

that doesn't matter. does not fit the narrative. steelers suck and dont know what they are doing. that is it. he could play for the vet minimum next year and make the pro bowl and it will not matter
