2016-2017 Pens----Still with 100% more Kessel

That Ryan Ellis is a dirty greasy *******. Somebody needs to whip that lord of the rings looking wankers ***

consider the bed sufficiently shat.

Just another couple random thoughts because I didn't see Saturday's game ... Is Daley hurt or something? And is Maata as slow as he appears or is he still working his way back to health after last year's cancer battle and other injuries?

Maatta is slow. He doesn't fit Sullivan's system. He's a liability this series.
Daley --- not good nor bad.
Hainsey is sloooow
Cole - solid, but has played every game this season, except for the healthy scratch last game
Shultz is a good QB on the PP, his smaller stature is liable this series. I've noticed, he's taken a beating

The missed opportunities were the nail in the coffin.
I thought the Pens had some good looks. Again, just a game of inches.

ayep

No mystery to that loss - offense missed 3 wide open chances - 2 on Jake and Kunitz on the breakaway - nail those and it's a different game

I can't blame the defense, we know they're bad, Malkin fumbled a puck right up the middle for the killer

What the **** is up with all these sudden southern celebs all of a sudden hockey fans now?
Not gonna tell my bro in law, but **** I lost respect for the Preds. Thanks for Hornqvist and Cullen. But **** off

Maata has got to go. He served up turnovers like ice cream. Of course half the team did as well.

Better wake up and win game 5, or this is over.

Nothing against Murray because he's been good, but to get the crowd in a frenzy, i'd start MAF on Thursday. We really need the boost like their crowd gave them. Newbies to hockey or not, they gave their team crazy energy. I do expect a different type of game in the Burgh. This very may the series where the home team wins all their games. We had chances, Rinne decided to play a little better got a lot of help from his D. I do want to see him on the road again. No home cooking and we need to keep generating traffic. When there are bodies in front of him, he's average. Got to exploit that and get him moving side to side again. He can see 95% of the shots. The Pens did play pretty well. I'm not completely discouraged.

I like Underwood trying her best to explain away the bandwagon effect in the 1st intermission. Just shut up and make me a sandwich......Naked of corse.

him and Malkin, are turnover machines. They are playing uninspired, look slow and are sloppy with the puck. I want to punch both of them in the head.

I like Underwood too. But she's enemy right now

**** the Predators but they are allowed to have new hockey fans in Nashville. It was up to us to put them in their place, and we didn't. Yet.

Same here dude. Not discouraged either. The Penguins have shown an ability to take the game over, just the missed chances on goal is what bit them in the ***. If Kunitz nailed that break away and when Crosby got in and had Guentzel and Rust on that rebound. I felt this game was a must win at first. I feel a bit different.

The three days off should give the guys enough time to rest, and the coaches enough time to tinker with the plan/line combinations. It's the Stanley Cup Final. I was hoping for the sweep, but it's a series.

I have faith to see the boys bounce back. Been through too much this season

Yet... we will. We will.

If I remember from past post. You live in GA correct? I attended UGA for a couple years. I do not recall hockey being big. Is GA on the dixie hockey bandwagon?

These past two games have felt weird. Like nbc is pushing an agenda.

Yep, live in GA. The Nashville fans we run into at bars here in GA are mostly from the Nashville area, or from places that have hockey teams and they just want to see the Pens lose. Nobody gives a **** about hockey in Atlanta.

Couple of thoughts now that I've slept:
- Bonino is much more important to this team than I think any of us realized. His absence is obviously felt.
- Healthy scratch Maatta for the rest of the Series, then dump his ***. He is a slow, turnover machine. Garbage on ice!
- Quit acting like this is the Ice Capades. No more cutesy stuff with your fancy skating and puck handling, SHOOT THE DAMN THING!!!
- And when you do shoot the puck, for God's sake, camp somebody in front of the net for rebounds.
- Phil Kessel was magic last postseason, but that magic is clearly gone. Time to move on.
- I know this may not be popular, but it's time this offseason to seriously look into trading Malkin. He's been invisible for the most part this series. To me, he's hockey's Kordell Stewart. Incredibly talented, but plays way to stupid too often. Can still get a LOT for him, time to pull the trigger.
- Bring in Karlsson from Ottawa.
- Finally, the next time Subban gets away with a cheap shot, fakes an injury (that was bullshit to stop play right as the Pens were ramping up by the way), or stands behind the crease jerking off with the puck for five minutes, BEAT HIS ***!!!!

The nbc part is really disturbing to me. I'm not sure what to make of it. As if they know and are pushing promotion and everything catfish. It's an insult to the Penguins. Just how I see it.

Bottom line is our stars are not performing. I thought the line juggling was bad last game. I still think guentzel has been our most consistent player. I know he missed chances yesterday, but at least he was and has been getting chances consistently. He was also taking a beating yesterday with no calls. I think maatta has been pretty bad all playoffs, but just don't know who we replace him with. Cole has been steady, but not fantastic, dumo has been like jekyl and hyde, daley has been up and down and schultz seems a bit overmatched this series. The bottom line is the D has not been good. Also Hag has not done anything and bonino has been steady defensively, but not getting goals. Without guentzel our secondary scoring would be basically non existent. Our 3rd 4th lines have had some great shifts, but need to score. I think murray looks slow this series and not totally focused. Pucks that can be caught are bouncing off the glove, i think he was slow to react to the wrap around, and the breakaway goal did not look like a good effort. Seems to be a double standard in goal. If that was fleury he would have been yanked. Im sure murray will start, but he better have a real short leash

After going back on last nights game:
- PK Subban --- clearly and dive. I think he was in pain somewhat. But went down to stop the momentum by the Pens.
....here's the catch(no hick catfish pun intended)
- the Pens stringed together an ample amount of momentum swinging shifts only to be stone walled by lucky bounces towards Pecker, fake injuries(acting) or weird calls.
- In most part, Maatta aside, the Pens played decent. The team just really needs to dig deep.
They are capable of two more wins and they'll get it.

A bit frustrated with the constant let go of Pens abuse. The team needs a couple of skilled bruisers next season.

The Pens look a step slow now in 4 games. Sure, they have a burst or two a game but my fear seems to be reality. They are exhausted. And, unfortunately that means they may not win another game against this team. They were lucky to win games 1 and 2 being outplayed for the most part in both - although game 2 was better. They were outplayed in the last 2 games. Lose the next game at home and they will go down in 6 at Nashville. Win at home and we get to look forward to game 7 and maybe get lucky again.

Right now, I have no confidence this team can win another game against the Preds and especially not in Nashville. I still believe we are the much more talented team but we are not getting to the pucks and our speed advantage that we were supposed to have over them looks mostly non-existent. This is a tired team. Maybe the 2 games off in between each game from here on out will help but I'm not holding my breath.
