2016-2017 Pens----Still with 100% more Kessel

Crosby and Jenner. Sid put him on his face lol

Yeah I see the 45 hits so far by Columbus. I'm stuck with reading statistics.

Columbus has some big guys. Hartnell and Jenner have been the two that have stood out to me with the hits. Wilson took a nasty hit earlier too, but came back in

Both teams in a scrum after the game. 4-1 Pens win
-could've easily been 6-1 with Sheary's chances

Very good call.

Game was getting a little feisty. As much as I cannot stand Ovie, I kinda get why he went after that CBJ player on sunday. Columbus likes to play after the whistle and tried to take the Pens off their game

Well that's a very good note. Now they get the basement dwellers devils ...next

A chance for home ice. I see them getting CBJ first round. I think CBJ will be sloppy if they try to keep up the physical play in the playoffs

Oh yeah. Either way the road is tough. I'm looking forward to seeing some playoff hockey.

Torts is trying using the old way to beat the Pens. Rough them up, be very physical and make them retaliate. Sully has transformed this team around and they don't fall for that anymore. That way is outdated and I welcome him trying it in the PO, as well. Gonna be a helluva series.

and F Torts and the Jackets!

We've know for almost 2 months it's going to be Columbus, we had to win this one for some mojo...bout time the Pen showed up to play strong around the net

I agree if they try to goon it up they wont win the series. Last night was the first time in quite awhile I felt like I was watching the team from last year that just flat out skated around everyone and was constantly attacking.

The bad new is they are still averaging 2-3 players injured per freaking game....Sure hope it is nothing serious with Rust.

the good news, Rust and Cullen were present for the jersey ceremony after the game. They didn't look injured, but we'll see. I think they were kept out for precautionary measures, like Sid sat at the end of the game. CBJ were out to inflict pain and the best the Pens could do is send them golfing next week. We should be getting Daley, Geno and possibly Maata back soon. They should put us over the top going forward. The more, the merrier.

Rust didn't look hurt after the game. Cullen's injury I am hoping was just a stinger. But CBJ looked really slow yesterday. Let them goon it up. They'll face an early exit against the Pens. Sullivan has the guys playing hockey and not retaliating after the whistle. Good for the team. I'm optimistic for a deep run and excited

The best part of this team, other than they are basically intact from last year and have the "been there, done that" mentality, they know how to turn it on when they need to. CBJ and WASH will be two very tough series, but we get past them, the road to the SCF opens up nicely. I really hope we get a healthy and productive Letang back.

Letang out 4-6 months. Surgery for herniated disk. ****.

we need everyone else back to have a legitimate chance. They have been succeeding w/o #58, but they will need all of their horses. Terrible news, but they should be able to push on. Should.

Well hate to say it but that lowers my expectations substantially for the playoffs.

Just speculation but evidently they were hoping he could recover and finally decided on surgery as a last resort? I hope so because it really sucks to have been strung along all this time if it was indeed this serious.

Just read the news on Letang. Bummer. The Pens need a healthy Daley and Maatta in the lineup soon. I think Hainsey, Cole and Ruhwedal can trudge through. I'm not sold on Streit, but he'll do

Pens have been ok without Letang. Major blow to the team, but if Daley and Maatta can make a return soon, send a few of the WBS guys back, Steigy was saying last night that Ruhwedal is a plus 6 right now. Pens will be ok
