2016-2017 Pens----Still with 100% more Kessel

The pressure is on the caps to win. I think the Pens can take them. The caps look good on paper thats it.
They have great forwards. Their D men aside from Shattenkirk do not impress me. The Pens are still probably the fastest skating team in the playoffs. The leafs and nashville are the other two that can skate generally well regarding puck movement. I won't be surprised if Toronto gives the caps a series. Our boys in Pitt should expect a physical series against the bj's, however I think the Pens speed will he too much to handle in a series

You wanna know who this Caps team reminds me of? The Penguins of last year. Only difference is this Caps team is better. They are fast, skilled and play physical. They can beat you 7-2 or 1-0, however you wanna play. As much as it pains me, this is likely their year.

And if their D doesn't impress you, no one's D is impressive. Shattenkirk, Alzner, Orpik, Carlson, Niskanen doesn't impress you? That is as good as there is in the NHL. ****, I thought they WAY overpaid for Orpik, but that guy has never played better.

I am pulling for the Pens, but I just don't see it. Too many injuries, and losing Letang is a huge blow. Who knows how long the walking wounded that are just now returning will hold up in the playoffs. Gonna be a short playoffs this year I fear.

Malkin is expected to play tomorrow.

And Sarge, I just don't think the caps are that fast.(I'd compare them more to that 2014 LA Kings team) playmakers no doubt. Oshie, Backstrom, and what will bolster them is Beagles line. As for their D. They play back which is why unlike our guys, the Pens bring a
D man up in the offensive play right away. So if the Pens do screw up, then yeah the odd man rush is given up.

With Trots, you have Orpik and Niskanen and even Carlson who I know the Pens can out skate. Alzner and Shattenkirk are legit, but cannot take every shift. I'll say, Alzner frustrates the hell out of me when the Pens play against the caps. Idk, I just feel the Pens can and have a chance to repeat

The Pens have a strong 4th line this year. Cullen played lights out last season, but he's lost a step it seems. Cause he's old. Rowney's line has looked impressive. Losing Letang to eat up minutes is going to be hard to replace. Cole, Shultz and Hainsey can take turns shouldering that load. I think Shultz is a lot better than Letnag on the PP. We'll see though. This team has an extra gear in them. And if they lose, oh well. We can look back and see how Sullivan still put a winning record together with major injuries.
 
I'm ready! As I hope the Guins are! Love playoff hockey! I feel spoiled how last season unfolded. I can't see how they can top that run, but that's way they play! Drop the puck!!

This is the biggest ??? What will losing Letang mean to the D.

There was none better in getting the puck out from behind the net up the ice. Yeah, he made some bad turnovers but he played a TON of minutes, in all the pressure situations on the PK and end of games.

I just don't know if the youngsters can hold up

It's a different team, look at the HBK line, magical chemistry last season but this season simply hasn't worked. I think Sid and Malkin will have to show up early.

Cole and Hainsey can scrape the Pens through. It won't be pretty, but it's enough to help the Pens. I think they are ready

It was a magical run last season. Getting past the Rags, eliminating the Caps, coming back on a damn good Tampa team and beating the sharks in a building the Pens had a hard time winning in seasons prior. I'm hoping for a deep run, but if the Pens do get eliminated, it's not gonna sting as much. Coach Sullivan and the guys put in a great season with all the injuries
 
Jackets playing tackle hockey. Dubinsky elbowing Crosby and everyone not on his team, and Pens getting crosschecked in the back, back of the head every time they are in the Jackets end. This is why playoff hockey sucks. Someone needs to be decapitated before a penalty is called.
 
Pens looking slow and disinterested. Too much fancy pants passing ****. Outshot 16-3. Gotta do better than that.
 
They look scared. The bj's came out sending a message right away. This team needs to calm down and play some hockey.

Murray looks to have pulled a groin from my observation. MAF looks sharp right now

GREAT period from the Pens. Completely flipped the script and put 3 in the net. Should have had another at least. Sid, Guentzel and Sheary are the limiting factor. They are making the game too difficult. Simple plays and they have a goal or two. I mean, if you look at where you are passing, you will increase your chances of completing that pass by a factor of 10. You will fail to score on 100% of the shots you pass up. Period.

They are playing hockey. The bj's are giving up a couple break away chances. Not a fan of officiating tonight. But 3-0, I'll take it. Somebody **** up Hartnell fartsmell btw. Jackass
 
Smiling and pissed at the no calls. **** the jackets and Fartnell I've hated that dickweed since he played for the cryers

Agreed on Sid's line, they are trying to be too fancy. Malkin's line is simple, Bonino's line is bringing it too

In my opinion, someone needs to explain to Sheary that there is only one Sidney Crosby, and no matter how hard he tries, he is not Sid. Sheary just needs to be Sheary and good things will happen. That line is the reason this game isn't 5 or 6 to nothing.
 
The Pens are playing fast, but not backing off the physical game. Looks like we are beating them at their game.

Kessel is sick.

Holy ****. Looky there. Sid and company **** around enough to turn it over and give up a goal. Color me stunned.
 
Is this tackle hockey? This **** looks as bad as the NFL. On the ice it's in plain view against the white.No hiding it. MAF is playing very well this evening. I'm shocked actually.
