I believe that the Penguins can still win this series, based upon how we played after Sid's assassination attempt. The fact that we tied the score without Sid has really got to be ******* with Capital confidence, and I feel that we can exploit that. No one says it will be easy, just possible.
One thing is true, Sid's absence puts even more pressure on the Craps to win. The extreme choke is all set up...
every time Ovi or Niskennan touches the puck, they need booed loudly, along with chants throughout the game of "Caps are dirty", "Caps are dirty".
I'm also tired of hearing "it was a hockey play". If it was just a hockey play, why did they receive a 5 min major and a game misconduct? A hockey play doesn't get you tossed. The only way they have a shot now is to take out the best player. Mission accomplished. I really hope the crowd gives it to them for 3 hrs tonight.

Yep you could see as the game went on they were starting to get adjusted to not having Sid on the Top line. That and Malkin switched to beast mode.
He knows he has to be the #1 guy that has to step up with Sid out of the lineup. And I don't care what the Craps say there is even more pressure on them to win this series now. They lose to the Pens without Crosby and Letang it's pretty much a forgone conclusion they will NEVER advance past the Pens in the playoffs with that team.
Unless they cheap shot them out of the lineup again...

I wouldn't be surprised if the Caps keep up the same !@#$ and target another Pen right out of the gate. Probably Flower. They are going to do their best to get under the Pens skin to make them take stupid penalties. The Pens need to stay calm throughout the game and stay out of the box. Unless Flower starts giving up cheap goals I don't think the Caps can score 5 on 5. The worst thing they can do is get into retaliation mode unless the game is out of reach. At that point I hope they don't do something stupid enough to earn a suspension. You know the refs will probably be calling everything to keep the game under control.
Agreed. The Pens have a lot of depth to possibly make a cup run. Get out of this series as healthy as possible. NYR looks to be the better team right now. I think the wounded Pens can take it still. The depth and speed are there. Malkin, Kessel, Bonino, Cullen and Rust can strike. With Rowney and Kunitz back, Hornqvist isn't alone in being gritty in front of the net. Holtby showed a glaring weakness last game. I know this coaching staff has seen it. So here's to game 4

Sestito would get tossed the first time he touches a Crapital. The whole world would know why he is on the ice. Now that the team has adjusted to no Sid, they can continue the game they played on Monday. They were physical and still were fast. This is Malkin's team now and he has to play like the leader he can be. Hopefully, others will follow and put them on their heels early and often. We still have home ice and need to use it to our advantage tonight.

Oh man .. running on fumes here. Got about 2 hours of sleep last night since I had to finish up a project either by today or miss this game. Hoping I can stay awake ... mostly that the Pens give me a good reason to stay awake.
