Tomlin did the best he could, for as long as he could, to keep together an offensive juggernaut and try to lead the team to the promised land. If that bent bending the rules a little, using jedi mind tricks, whatever, so be it. Turns out Bell & Brown's ego was simply to big to care. It was always all about them, never about the team. Can't fault Tomlin for trying, and largely succeeding keeping that core intact - and lighting up the field - for several years. You wanna gripe about Tomlin babying AB, then you also must fault him for babying Ben. It all goes hand in hand. In the end, it all blew up in their face, and that dynamic core is now a thing of the past. If anything, you could blame the Steelers FO for not trading away Bell & Brown years ago, like they did with Martavius. In the end, nobody is to blame for AB & Bell petering out with us. That's all on them as individuals.
