And it Begins:Special Prosecutor To Investigate Trump And Russia

I'm saying Mueller is a vested, extremely experienced and knowledgable prosecutor, former head of the FBI, who's handling this case with surgical precision. He will double down on every sliver of corroborating evidence and present an air-tight case, one way or another. More than anything else, it's my sincere belief Mueller is after the truth. The truth all Americans deserve to have. We are a country of laws and nobody - not even Donald J. Trump - is above the law.

And of course you are certain "the truth" is that Trump colluded with Russians to influence the election. Despite the fact that not one person who has been indicted or pled guilty has mentioned a peep about anything having to do with that.

I guess they're all saving that part for some big reveal party at the end?

Isn't it just possible that it didn't happen? Have you even considered that? Of course not, because you so desperately want it to be true.

As of yesterday, that is anything but a fact.

Cohen's lawyer says he's completely flipped and will give information of Trump-linked conspiracy with Russia
https://www.businessinsider.com/lanny-davis-cohen-flipped-on-trump-has-evidence-of-russia-conspiracy-2018-8

- Lanny Davis, the attorney representing Michael Cohen, said on Wednesday that Cohen had knowledge of a conspiracy between President Donald Trump and Russia.

- During an MSNBC interview, he also said Cohen was willing to tell the special counsel Robert Mueller about it.

Looks that way.

BTW you know if this were Hillary or Obama, they'd already have them guilty, tarred, feathered, and possibly hung, by now. Good Lord, sometimes I just can't even.....

LOL. No, Lanny Davis didn't say that at all.

Please, post the actual quote where Lanny Davis says "Cohen has knowledge of a conspiracy between President Donald Trump and Russia."

You are hilarious.

There would need to be proof of Trump's involvement, that he specifically instructed Cohen to break the law. A judge wouldn't let that slide without having proof that it happened. The fact this is even in the offical charges against Cohen, that he was aided by Trump, should tell us that there is evidence that this happened, above and beyond Cohen saying it did.

First, don't get me started on what judges do and don't let slide. They let plenty slide. That stupid dossier, for one. And the list goes on and on, in millions of cases across the nation on a daily basis.

Second, Cohen filed the money he paid to the porn star and playboy model as "services rendered" or some such, I don't exactly remember the way the state attorney worded it, but it was pretty benign. Trump Corporation reimbursed those "services rendered." That is the tie, or as you say corroborating evidence. In this case, that would be circumstantial "corroborating evidence" if I am not mistaken. Not really 100% certain that Trump knew that is what he was reimbursing, but the government believes he knew. That's enough in any court in America to get a judge to sign off on charges. It's thin, in any event.

To me, it's all academic anyway. Trump likely won't be charged anyway, and even if he is, it will likely be a fine of some sort. There is actually a precedent for this stuff with previous presidents, most recently President Obama. There were some fines and no one went to jail. Guess we'll see. Trump is a Republican after all.

From the horse's mouth.

Frankly, I don't see anything funny at all regarding this situation.

And something else. Nothing Manafort has been charged with or convicted of has anything to do with the "Russia Probe." Hell, even Cohen for that matter. Or Flynn. Or Papodopulous. This is a fishing expedition to remove Trump. I just wish the media and others would call it what it is. It's ok to call it what it is. You don't have to hide behind "Russia Probe."

The media largely ignores this fact. This is as Trump calls it, a Witch Hunt to try and remove him from office. Its deeply embarrassing for the country that the media and left are so desperate to remove Trump from office.

Trump has every reason to appoint a special prosecutor to go after Hillary but hasn't done so. It shows the left's lunacy.

If they wanted to investigate all members of congress, I'd be willing to bet they would find all kinds of criminal campaign issues that they got away with. Hell even Obummer got fined for campaign finance violations in 2008.

This

"Mr. Cohen has knowledge on certain subjects that should be of interest to the special counsel and is more than happy to tell the special counsel all that he knows."

Looks a whole lot different than this:

"Cohen has knowledge of a conspiracy between President Donald Trump and Russia."

This...looks a whole lot different than this:

Look at the next sentence Sarge, as Davis goes on:

...to tell special counsel all that he knows – not just about the obvious possibility of a conspiracy to collude and corrupt the American democracy system in the 2016 election, which the Trump Tower meeting was all about, but also, knowledge about the computer crime of hacking and whether or not Mr. Trump knew ahead of time about that crime.”

Look at the next sentence Sarge, as Davis goes on:

so, of course, Trump not only knew about hacking, but IS the hacker himself!

BWAhahahaha Lanny is a Clinton stooge, he's still trying to get Hillary the job as President!

I bet Pakistani Lanny told Cohen to expect a pardon from President Hillary in 2021.

"Under No Circumstances" Would Cohen Seek Pardon from Trump"
"
Like there is any chance in Hell Trump would pardon Cohen!

The lawyer-speak of Clinton lapdog Lanny Davis trying to insinuate something sinister without actually saying anything.

And you and the media lapping it right up and twisting the words into something that wasn't said.

I find it quite amusing actually.

Look at the next sentence Sarge, as Davis goes on:

First of all, Lanny Davis is a media lawyer, a guy who's strong suit is not litigation, but the public relations side of things. I would take what he says with a grain of salt, especially this close to an election, where he is a partisan. The Dems have a strong political reason to keep this witch hunt going through the midterms. Typical deep state stuff.

Secondly, just because Cohen says something doesn't make it true.It has to be proven.

Whatever happened to lawyer/ client privilege? Has that gone the way of the dodo?

I just heard another BOMBSHELL...Kissing babies is now outlawed for politicians trying to influence an election.

I find the conspiracy theories the right hold onto like a security blanket quite amusing as well (Uranium one for example debunked over and over), doesn't stop the right from lapping it right up, does it?

Have you ever asked yourself why the Obama admin told the cyber security chief to stand down on Russian cyber attacks, while at the same time selling the Russians the rights to 20% of our uranium? And the Clinton foundation then received $145 Million from those Russians involved in the deal. Just a coincidence.?

But now, with Trump, there is a Russian behind every tree.

If you don't think that to be suspect, you are dumber than a 5th grader.

Don't political campaigns spend 10s of millions of dollars trying to influence elections?

Ridicule it all you want, Donny Corleone Trump is in deep ****, and (some of) you know it. Yesterday was the worst day of Trump's life, there's no doubt about that. Now come even more lies, threats and mud-slinging from Trump and his base. These next few weeks will be interesting, to say the least. I hope you guys get plenty of rest as it's gonna take an incredible amount of energy to keep defending this POS, as the noose tightens. But that won't keep you - or Trump - from trying to deflect, dodge and obfuscate with all your might. Trump and his base won't go down without a fight. Kudos for that. Hope springs eternal.

Have you fact checked your uranium one theory? At all? I read a lot of conspiracy theories from the right. That's all I need to say.

‘Donald Trump Is in the Clear’ — ‘Lanny Davis Blew It,’ ‘You Are a Dummy, Lanny’

I don't give a rat's *** about Donald Trump. I care about a concerted political effort and abuse of law enforcement to undo the results of an election one side didn't like. Everyone should care about that.

If I'm wrong and I see any factual evidence that he actually did conspire with Russians to influence the election, you'll see me here admitting that and I'll be the first to call for him to be gone. But the way this investigation was initiated and has progressed is very, very concerning to me in terms of the future of this country. As it stands right now, as hamster stated this has become an investigation in search of crime, not an investigation of a crime. We should all care about that.

Now we have Lanny Davis out in the media hinting around about what his client will and won't talk about to investigators about. Is that standard investigative technique now? Is that an ethical representation of his client?

Of course not. It's politics.

No wonder some of you are so damn confused. If the shoe fits...
