That article sums it up and well.

Russian collusion theories are all but dead. Considering Podesta hatched the idea on election night November 2016 (translation: It was concocted out of thin air), it's not a surprise it's come to a grinding halt and Van Jones was correct. It's a nothing burger. Always was. Just sad that it has cost America and her taxpayers so much (and more than $$).

But, as has been factually noted, the radical, unhinged, dangerous Left has said since the night of the election, we will impeach him. It won't stop. It will now be about sex. Or ice cream scoops.

Democrats are no longer a party. They are the progressive movement, close to communism. Like a virus seeks a host, Progressivism needs a host government. Like Communism needs host governments. Like the virus, it fights off opposition. It kills it in fact. It's all consuming. Losing is no longer an option. "All for the party." Man is a higher power than God, and man can and will be trampled if he stands in the way of the party. The Left is now a religious cult.

We've slowly seen the evolution over decades. It took a unique turn in 2000 with the Gore loss and the hanging chads. For the first time we saw the Left refuse to abide by the outcome. Losing was no longer an option. That's why we see so many recounts. So many rigged machines. Boxes full of hidden ballots. The import of illegal aliens to vote. The virus must remain.

Losing has just gotten more important to the Left now. We saw it in November 2016. They no longer hide their intent. The other party won, we will impeach. Period. Wouldn't have mattered if Jerry Falwell or Pope Ignatius had been elected. Simply wouldn't. They just got their worst nightmare however. Republicans have bowed to the media and liberal onslaught for decades. Trump won't. So it's downright nasty.

But don't think for a minute this ends. It doesn't end after the Russian collusion. It doesn't end after the next made up story. It won't end after Trump wins a 2nd term. It will be there in the next confirmation hearing of a judge. It will be there in the lower courts. It will be there at the state and local official elected levels. The virus will continue to attempt to destroy the host. Opposition cannot remain. Dissent isn't tolerated.

The players, the names, the faces are irrelevant. Trump, in all honesty, is just an effigy. It's bigger than him.

"Contact with Russians" is a pretty dubious description. I mean, during transition, the incoming guys talk to a lot of foreign governments, so "Contact with Russians" is misleading at least. Did they contact any other governments during transition? If so, CNN may want to mention that. I mean, I know why they didn't, but that is another discussion for another time I guess.

I don't know if campaigns contact foreign governments. Honestly. For my part, I can see it both ways. If it is unusual that they do, then maybe it is odd but not necessarily nefarious.

While I still think they are gonna attempt to hang Trump on campaign finance as part of the hooker payoffs, I think they are going to have a hard time finding collusion and making what, if anything, that they do find--stick.

I have reached the point of impeach or don't impeach, indict or don't indict, but **** or get off the pot, because the country needs to move forward one way or the other. Time for this **** to end.

I believe most of the country is sick of this witch hunt, with the exception of the MSM, which has realized windfall profits from it's ratings, and the blithering idiots that fall for the bait.

Unfortunately, many don't realize how damaging this has been for our Republic. It has fundamentally changed the political landscape in Washington, and has made public service a toxic environment. Because people in Washington lie all of the time. Obama lied when he said you can keep your insurance policy. Comey lied. Loretta Lynch lied about the tarmac meeting. Obviously I can't answer that, and neither can anyone else, despite the breathless "analysis" going on all over cable news.

As far as blatantly lying, I really wish that the media would "fact check" the rest of America's politicians the way they go after Trump. If they did, most people would be an awful lot like me and not trust any of them.

I mean, we all know politicians lie to the American people on the daily. Presidents, representatives, senators, mayors, council-people. All of them. They are never held to account. But by Jesus, you lie to congress, you are going to jail? Just another double standard for the ruling class, that also doesn't have to use the same health care as the peasants and strangely enough, don't have to follow the same gun laws as the peasants either.
