An MRI did not reveal any ligament damage to the knee that Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell injured Sunday night in a 27-17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, a source told ESPN.
But Bell will have to play through considerable pain if he is able to suit up Saturday night against the Baltimore Ravens, the source said, making the second-year man questionable at best for the prime-time AFC wild-card game at Heinz Field.
Saw Le'Veon Bell walking gingerly to his car. No structural damage means he can play if he can deal with weakness, stiffness. Meds can help

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Le'Veon Bell (hyperextended knee) has avoided ligament damage, but is highly questionable for Saturday's Wild Card game.
Bell's Monday MRI confirmed he suffered only a hyperextension on Sunday evening, but Schefter reports it will be "difficult" for him to suit up against the Ravens.
Per Schefter, it will depend on "how Bell feels." The Steelers will move mountains to get Bell cleared for Saturday's game, but he'd likely be at less than full effectiveness even if he suits up. The Steelers' best bet may be preparing Bell for a potential appearance in the Divisional Round.
Media doctor report number two!
We don't need bell to handle the Rats. We just don't.
We will need him against DEN, and will be in deep **** without him against NE.
Sit Bell for the wild card. Two weeks rest should get him close to 90%.
Josh Harris ripped of that nice 49 yarder that got called back on a penalty. I think he can carry the load for one game.
RR?
whoa. we do refer to the Rats as our *******, but to slap 'em around like that? man, that's harsh.
Give Bell the Bettis numbing shot. Just make sure they stick the correct part this time..
“If he suffered no structural damage (ACL, PCL), then yes, he can play,” said Dr. David Geier, an orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist in Charleston, S.C. “He would just have to work through discomfort, stiffness and weakness.”
Geier said pain killers toradol and cortisone are popular treatments to allow players to get back on the field quickly after suffering injuries similar to Bell's.
How ******* great would it be to see Ray Rice in a steelers uniform on Sat night, sticking it to all the Ravens and their fan base? Epic I say!

Bell is now riding stationary bike according to Tomlin. That a good next step. Need to keep it warm, get blood flowing, and not let the knee get stiff.
"We'll explore that," Tomlin said. "We'll not only explore his health but his mindset... and where he fits."

Dude, we are way past avoiding it getting stiff. That has already come. I read that he can barely walk at all. But we have 4 days, we won't know until game time.
