I agree it is looking like Pocahontas by default now.
Not sure what I make of a Trump vs. Warren showdown at this point or how I would even handicap it. I'm not quite as confident as some here that the constant, biased, propaganda, possibly illegal attacks on Trump by the news media and now a Democrat-led House with the power of investigations (however absurd) isn't undermining his vote-getting ability.
If anything, I could see a backlash against the CONSTANT news coverage of politics. I think the American people (me included) are just getting tired of it. We have literally been engaged almost 24-7 in the news cycle since about the beginning of 2016. Everything is Trump. And if it's not Trump its about enemies of Trump.
Warren will not naturally engage minorities in this country. If they don't turn out to vote because of over saturation by the news media (and I certainly see that as a possibility), then it becomes a very close race. Will Trump voters show up again? Will the economy hold up to the global push downwards Socialist Europe and Propped-up China are having on it?
Warren is a slick talker. She is distancing herself from Congress (who people just hate). She is tapping into a growing resentment against the super wealthy and the tech industry. Her "plans" don't matter, only that her message of tearing down capitalism because of its excess and corruption is what the country needs. Trump represents those excesses and corruption which puts the fight squarely on the "Greed is Good" vs. "Socialism" fight. And Trump isn't exactly the best person to fight that fight with his big mouth and aggressive tone.
Trump vs. Warren will be a different fight than Trump vs. Clinton.
I find Warren to be an annoying speaker. That Anger, that voice. I don't think she will do well in the states Trump won. We saw she cannot take a political punch when the DNA test came out.
