Blount released..

You can be sure the cheatriots will have ALL of our plays and calls now.I would have suspended that ******* and kept him inactive until the end of the year. If we make the playoffs and play those pricks. They'd better change them all up and certainly no radio signals in that ******* stadium.

Blount was never going to work with the Steelers because of Tomlin being a soft player's coach who Blount did not respect or fear. Great pickup for the Pats and of coutrse their superior head coach.

I think Blount was already on a thin line after the whole weed incident, but I think it's more of the fact Bell can carry this offense without any help and having to worry about sharing carries to keep him happy adds to the problems.

Yes, a healthy and fresh Bell is all we need, but what about if he gets hurt? We will be in a world of hurt. Not saying we should have kept Le-THUG-it Blount, but we are now thin at RB. And with Bell's rushing style, him getting dinged is likely.

I would have just not dressed him rest of the year and cut him in the off season. It still would have required us to bring up a rb and cut someone, i would have cut DHB. Then, if, Blount refused to show up you could get an roster exemption from the league. I wont complain too much though, cutting him was better than how they handled Mendenfall.

Do you have anything else you can say? Quit posting the same damn thing!

yup, his awesome 5.1 average with a LONG of 15! So let's look at this logically. His longest run makes up 37% of his total yards. That means he was averaging a nasty 3.7 yards before he got that run. Or is this where you say the sample size is too small? He isn't getting very many touches because he doesn't have a role for this team. He MIGHT have one now... but it's still highly unlikely. It's not like Blount was getting a **** ton of carries the last few weeks either, he didn't even get one in the Titans game. Josh Harris will get more carries than Archer will.

Something just occurred to me. I know Bell was having his best game as a pro, but one wonders if Blount got zero touches just because of Bell's success or was it because Blount did something to irritate the team days leading up to the game. Even a Bell who is killing it could use at least one or two blows, as had been the case previous to the TN game. Do you think Blount was in the dog house, and after getting zero carries, it just made him even more mad, being that there was a rift to begin with? It just seems irrational, even for Blount, to storm off the sidelines just because he didn't have any carries ONE game.

The proof is in the pudding, what exactly did the soft and stupid Tomlin do to a career thug and problem child , Blount, when he was caught smoking weed on the way to a Srteeler flight. Did that stupid move only further embolden Blount and weaken the already soft Tomlin's stature.

Dude, he ran the ball and returned kicks in every other game, he does neither Monday night and it just occurred to you that maybe it wasn't because of Bell's monster game? He was dressed for emergency purposes only.

The proof isn't in the pudding...unless it's Bill Cosby's.

The thing about hind site, is its very clear and focused. What ever punishment given to Blunt, for the blunt, would also have to include Bell. Those here saying Tomlin should have waived him then, what would you have done with Bell. Hindsite speaking, I'd waived Blunt and sat Bell for that entire game.

Salute the nation

And the team that got rid of Blount picks him up again. Obviously, he's a locker room cancer...

Josh Harris promoted from practice squad.

They have him over the same barrel that they had him over last year. He HAS to act civilized in order to somewhat rehabilitate his image and keep his NFL career. They also signed him to vet min. for the two years, so releasing his butt if he tries the crap that got him in hot water here is no big deal.

During Joe Greene's number retirement much was made of the "old Steeler attitude" he epitomized. What do you think his response would have been to a teammate who walked off the field? You might have needed to wait till he cleared IR before releasing him,

You might want to take into account the time he left because he did not want to play for losers. He is quoted as saying something to the effect of "I was sitting in my car hoping someone would come get me"

The lead writer for an un-named Pittsburgh newspaper wrote in Sundays paper that the Steelers could have punished Blount by suspending him for a game and then releasing him.

Good article. I will note that the two players we seem to have trouble with un-Steeler-like behavior, Blunt and Mitchell, just got here this year. There are a handful of teams where when you put on their colors, a little more is expected and the Steelers are one of those teams. The others being Dallas even though they suck lately, and Green Bay.

anybody see the douche mock AB's TD dance when he scored today? man, I hope karma bites him and his team in the ***

Makes you wonder if AB was one of the players that wanted Blount gone

Shows what a good coach can do for a headcad player.. Tomlin ... Players don't respect him

All that would have done is delayed his signing by the Patriots by a week.

Shut the **** up, that doesn't even make sense. He walked off the ******* field. How is that Tomlin's fault? Tomlin might not be a good coach but he's respected by the team.
