how's that working out for you in the Dynasty League, ed?
and I don't see how Rivers gets any zip on the ball.

Sanders is a route runner. He always needed to be a slot WR and that was the plan when they had Brown and Wallace outside, but Sanders was constantly injured. Last year was his first real injury free year and with Wallace gone and Wheaton injured, and Cotchery being slow as hell, Sanders had to play outside.
Yes but he's got no physicality as a route runner. He's not going to use his body to create space; he needs the open space that Denver's offense provides.
you don't need physicality if you run good routes
A well run route and a timing throw creates the separation. Sanders came out of the SMU run-n-shoot offense where sharp routes and quick throws are everything.
Ben is not a timing QB and that hurt Sanders too. Being the 3rd most dangerous option also helps Sanders. It makes him look better than he is, but he was still a good player in the Steelers, just injured, then misused, and also unfocused.

There is no doubt Manning makes his receivers look much better than they are - especially the number 2, 3 and 4 guy as they will almost always have single coverage.
That's kind of the definition of a good quarterback, right?
I mean if our guy isn't doing that, it's not the WR's fault, it's Ben's.
You do realize a guy by the name of Antonio Brown is currently leading the NFL in receiving yards, right? (Technically it's Demaius Thomas, but that's COUNTING his game last night, and AB hasn't played this weekend yet). So yeah, Ben can get the ball there just fine.

The Broncos and Steelers have both played 7 games, the Broncos have already had a bye. Thomas is leading the league in yardage not Brown.
I don't understand why people have to put down Manning to build up Ben. Why can't both stand on their own merit? Manning is a great QB and can make an average team very good. Ben is not the QB that Manning is but that's ok because 99.9% of other QBs aren't either. Montana may have been a better QB than Bradshaw. I don't really care. Both were damn good QBs but they are both different. The Steelers can win and have won SBs with Ben. He needs a better defense and better WRs. Manning can do more with less but he hasn't won 2 SBs yet. But in today's NFL I'll take either over most of the other QBs in the league.

Imagine how ridiculous it would have sounded if Merlin Olsen said "Terry Bradshaw" every time Bradshaw made a good play:
Ok, so he has 48 more yards with God throwing him the ball. I think our qb is doing ok.
