Attended game with many, MANY other Steelers fan and son-in-law, long-time N. Georgia resident and Falcons fan. SIL bought the tickets so no issue with him wearing Falcons jersey.

Tailgated for 3 hours before game. Lot where we hung out was 80% Steelers fans. Quick shot:

Mercedes Benz stadium is nice for an indoor football stadium but ehh, indoor stadiums. SIL and me at game:

The 1st half/2nd half issues can be explained in large part on the completely different offensive approach after halftime. 1st half, lots of Najee between the tackles, 2nd half lots of jet sweeps. 1st half, Muth was running patterns deep middle, 2nd half, he was invisible. I looked at the secondary rather than the pocket on pass plays and saw Johson run a sideline pattern covering 10 yds or less and Pickens running up the sidelines towards double coverage as the safety came over. NOTHING over the middle of the field. Literally, most times, not a receiver in the middle so the MLB can easily shadow Kenny (which he did), and the receivers are blanketed.

Still, great time, and Steelers are now 5-0 with me in attendance. **** Tomlin's "no losing seasons" bullshit, Steeltime's "never had a loss" rules.

Shoulders looking broad. Keep hitting them weights.

You need to attend games more often.

This is awesome. Have to ask, how much better of a time would you have ahead with an extra 50?

So much better, ICS. We had tickets, could have sold them for a nice profit and then bought field-level, right behind Steelers bench.

Looking to do just that, SIL and I pooled our money, and we were ... $50 short. Unfreakingbelievable.

I am considering writing the Steelers, advising them of my 5-0 record.

Oh, and as an aside. I have seen the team go 5-0 with five DIFFERENT QB's:
  • 1984 - Mark Malone
  • 2014 - Ben Roethlisberger
  • 2015 - Michael Vick
  • 2019 - Duck Hodges
  • 2022 - Kenny Pickett

No O’Donnel, Stewart, Graham or Tomzak sightings?

Awesome! Interesting comments on the stadium given how people rave over it, however, I agree about domes. The crowd sounded great and even helped draw a false start. Glad you had a great time and got a chance to see a win.

The weather was great as you can see from the shirtsleeves so would have loved to see the game outdoors.

I've been to many Steelers games, but only three in Pittsburgh. When I lived in San Diego, it was a Steelers home game. It is a complete take over, every time.

No doubt. The Michael Vick game was against San Diego in 2015. MNF. Steelers fans began lining up at about noon. Game 5:30 PST. Normally, the stadium would open the parking lot 3 hours before game time but said, "**** it" when the cars backed up for the parking lot were more than a mile. Opened parking lot at 1:00 p.m. for tailgating.

During tailgating, I walked around, shared stories. Talked to one couple wearing Chargers jersey and the guy said, "Same thing. Every goddamn time we play the Steelers." That was after the Chargers announced they were leaving for LA so the Charger faithful was a bit outnumbered that game.

I was honored to host a Steel City Mafia rally there. Super fun.

That was a "sub" consideration as to moving out of there. They were getting tired of their stadium being taken over by Us and others.

Salute the nation

Hah ... even the funnies are on the Steelers bandwagon, it seems:

Tailgating might be one of the best things ever. I can't believe the Falcons play in a dome. Something about that doesn't seem right. Anyone playing football in a dome doesn't seem right.

The south is more college football oriented. Samford stadium is better than the benz any day
