When i was at a USSteel coke plant a couple weeks back, we had a safety discussion about the dangers of Dump trucks to pedestrians… its easy for them to not see a pedestrian and in the bigger ones they can hit you and not even feel it… breaking down on the highway is so dangerous too… its really sad
That's known as the "KILL" zone. It's for Semi-trucks as well. It's a real thing so when you pass a Semi, don't scraggle right along side it and get past. It pertains to not just visually seeing you but also how fast they can stop / cut fast to avoid / blind spots / amongst other thigs as well.
Look up blown Truck tires while driving (not while you are driving). I see many people tailing or beside for miles on end without awareness of how critical a spot they are in should something go wrong.
I'm just putting this out there for a little education.
Had two full days to digest this news. Sounds like Claypool was there but who the hell knows. Tragic ending for a young man with a lot of promise. Why he was on the freeway, I hope they can answer but it won't change that he lost his life. A damn shame.

Not really worth speculation yet… there are a million theories but with no facts. … its all total guesswork right now with no validity… probably best to assume he wasn’t doing anything questionable unless some proof otherwise shows up.
I just read an article saying there was an inebriated woman passed out in his car, which was apparently disabled. I can't vouch for the accuracy of the report. It appears to have been written late yesterday.

Saw this also, will be interesting to see toxicology report for Haskins. If he was under influence, it could explain the dangerous behavior along the highway that witnesses reported.
All speculation until an official report comes out. How come the major news isn't carrying the drunk woman story? I can't say either way plus or minus but I can say that until something comes out confirming said circumstances I will only look at it as speculation.
