Heyward Love

I think he has really pushed himself into low end HOF status if he can repeat this next season or if he gets his championship... he was borderline at best, but this is cementing his legacy
Low end? Nah after this season plus a Man of the year award he is in.

Man this guy is playing awesome Football. Add in he is 35 and his play is amazing..... He deserves some love from Steeler Nation!
He is playing exceptional. I was for a pay cut. And was 100% against the extension for the amount given. I still hold those views to a degree but his play soften those views of mine. Keep balling out OLD MAN!!! And hold onto those screenshots!!!!! 🙂

I try to admit when I'm wrong. I said don't remortgage. They did. If he isn't injured next year its a good deal.
I didn't want Heyward back at top dollar for interior defensive linemen and the way the negotiations were going, that's what it seemed like he may have wanted. Instead, they signed him to exactly the price for a player of his age with his talent. I wasn't worried about this year, but rather two or three years into the deal. Not anymore after the deal he signed and he's lived up to his end.

His new contract was the key.

What little CROW I had to eat was softened by the fact I used Pure Ghost pepper layered X 3.

If Cam can finish out the season / post season with equal play to date, keep the “texting” down and lift the Lombardi……………………. He will be HOF bound.

He is getting “love” from all around.

Salute the nation

I understood the hesitance people had to see him signed to the deal. 35, coming off an injury plagued year. What I objected to was the other nonsense added to it. "Heyward is a hypocrite!" Apparently, he was because he commended Ben for taking less at some point. Regardless of the fact that Ben was still making well over $20 million. He's also "Tomlin's buddy!" Well, the way he has played throughout his career, I would argue he'd be the buddy of any coach.

The concern if he could still be productive and earn the salary at his age coming off injury was absolutely justified. All the other stuff? Not so much.

I am enjoying all the DPOY love he is getting. Since leading all the Stat categories is not a requirement now, Cam should have a real shot at it.

Cam has played out of his mind this year, so far
I will wait to eat crow until after its all said and done. Long way to go.

Mark Kelso!

Kudos on the Steelers contract for Cam. $16M Guaranteed and it was the $1.3M Salary and $14M Signing Bonus. The rest of his contract is all roster bonuses with a $1.3M Salary

2025 $1.3M Salary $13.45M ($4.9M Prorated Signing bonus) Cap hit $19.65
2026 $1.3M Salary $12.95M ($4.9M Prorated Signing bonus) Cap hit $19.15

So if Cam is cut next year before the roster bonus kicks in, it's a $9.8M dead cap hit. If done the following year, it's only $4.9M

He's already earned his money this year and earned his roster bonus for next year, but if he gets a season ending injury next year, I don't expect the Steelers to play him in 26. Very team friendly contract for a man that wanted to retire a Steeler.
