I'll post this here.....I didn't make it Political the NFL did..............

I am almost certain that major cities now recognize just two, and only two, causes of death:

  • If black, being shot by police.
  • If other, the Chinese ... uhh, Covid.

I still can't wrap my head around this perceived image that is being projected. The numbers are not even close but the chaos still persists.

For the 898th time on this site alone, let alone across the nation.

Is that gonna be next, taking swimming pools outta the cities ?

The real question will be:
can NFL players use their helmet stickers to honor the victims of swimming pool racism?

If you want a little silver lining in this matter and as much as it loathes me to praise a former Bengal, I just read that Tyler Eiffert has chosen to display a patch or decal in honor of David Dorn, the Black police captain who was murdered by a leftist scumbag. Kudos to you brave sir. He'll most likely get cut now.

Just became my favorite non-Steelers player. Good for you Tyler.

Careful, Jimmy The Greek said that blacks couldn't swim and you saw what happened to him.

Come on Ron, you're better than that. All 104 had whitey pulling on their ankles to drown them.

Duh.

P.S. Water is racist.

Your tongue in cheek comment, while meant to be reflective of our modern day societal struggles, carry's a good deal of synonymy .

Being Nice to Black People
https://www.takimag.com/article/being-nice-to-black-people/

Despite the fact that black-on-white violence far outstrips the inverse, and despite the fact that American culture has performed nonstop analingus on blacks and nonstop defamation of whites for a couple generations now, and despite the fact that it’s ludicrous to assert that modern blacks are being economically exploited in any possible way since blacks in the aggregate take far more from the “government” (i.e., white taxpayers) in assistance than they contribute in taxes, the establishment left and right both seem to agree that anti-black “racism” is a real problem.

Despite all of the evidence, they keep peddling this antiquated notion that America is such a cesspit of anti-black hatred and violence that blacks are scared of even walking outside these days. Even basketball superstar LeBron James and his net worth of nearly a half-billion dollars recently asserted as much.

Coulda fooled me! Blacks don’t seem to have the slightest problem appearing in public and bullying and hitting and demeaning every white person within spitting distance.

No, it’s whites who are afraid. Deathly afraid.

But as modern whites, we’re lectured that it’s a good thing to live in constant fear. We’re told it’s what we deserve for all that we’ve done to blacks.

Sorry, but what have I ever done to blacks except being nice to them?

Back when you could get your *** kicked by white people for saying nice things about black people, I was that guy.

Now, when you can get your life destroyed for saying nice things about white people, I’m still that guy.

I haven’t changed at all. All that “progress” really means is that society has shifted its poles and redefined the good guys and the bad guys.

Except for the times when I was punched and robbed by individual blacks, my experiences with them have been overwhelmingly positive. So, yes, it can be said that I have very high regard for most of them as individuals.

But holy ****, they are a complete mess as a group. Where on Earth does a large presence of blacks actually improve the per-capita income and life expectancy? Where is there a majority-black country on Earth where blacks enjoy a higher standard of living and live longer than they do in this allegedly white-supremacist hellhole called the USA? I’ve been asking that last question for a quarter-century and have never received an answer. I’ve been called plenty of names for asking the question, but after about the hundredth time, that only seems like a dishonest way of avoiding the question altogether.

It’s stupid to be nice to someone who has no intention of being nice to you.

It’s not a healthy world where you’re constantly afraid of speaking the truth.

It’s as if all of white America is a battered wife desperately scrambling not to make her husband angry again. Sounds like we’re in an abusive relationship with blacks—so deeply abusive, we’re being gaslit as the abusers and most of us seem to believe it. It’s like, wow, honey, you just made your abusive husband breakfast in bed, but he slapped you harder than ever. The nicer we get, the more racist they say we are, and the meaner they get. And no one sees a connection to any of this?

When you concede to an infant’s tantrums, does their behavior improve?

Just saying, swimming ain't a black thang from what I have anecdotally observed.

Careful, Jimmy The Greek said that blacks couldn't swim and you saw what happened to him.

Jimmy The Greek and Al Campanis were Humiliation Rituals to end the 1948-1988 paradigm and usher in Art Shell, Tony Dungy, Doug Williams, and Rooney Rule era.

They had to sacrifice a couple of the old boys to create groundswell for the new era.

I now think the rituals were prescribed and Jimmy and Al willingly and knowingly walked into their infamy as part of their membership in the Brotherhood aka "the builders" of society.

The Campanis call with Ted Koppel seemed pretty staged and choreographed for just that purpose. Nightline had become an institution by that time. Dodgers won the WS that year or in that time frame where the Campanis scalping would carry weight and send fear to successful middle age execs everywhere.

The Drew Brees media interaction/set up over the kneeling seemed to follow the same course. Walk straight into it, and then endure humiliation for greater Social Justice awareness.

If Captain America Drew Brees can't be patriotic, neither can you.

Very few people care about truth. There have been many research studies in college that have been shut down because nobody cares about truth. They only care about promoting liberalism and white guilt. They feel that's it's whitey's turn to cower down. They want to flip the script. Too many whites have fallen victim to this absurdity.

This is a profound article. It says what I feel. I hate the idea that we define ourselves by our skin tone, but thT is imposed on me. I constantly try to avoid this distinction.

I bet this author gets blm to hold a bonfire on his lawn soon.

Deljzc, I wholeheartedly agree with your assessment of European soccer. Liverpool my club. History much like the Steelers. Problem is the EPL(English league), Bundesliga( German league) were fully"woke" when they resumed play after covid lockdown. Both leagues knelled and the BLM patches were on uniforms and all over the empty stadiums. OTH, La liga(Spanish) and Serie A (Italian)did no such thing. Just played straight up soccer without the SJW antics. Otherwise, love your writing and you are spot on

I have tried world cup soccer and the english league. The game is fundamentally too defensive. Its like 88 minutes of foreplay and 2 minutes of sex. I would respect it more if you had to play your man, and players would not fake injuries to draw yellow and red cards.

When the money begins to dry up (i.e., when TV ad revenues begin to shrink, when sales of NFL clothing/gear drop drastically, when gate ticket sales fall short of expectations), then and ONLY THEN will our old, "boomer" voices be heard. Cuz let's face it, right now we're useful idiots for the league. As long as we keep buying the product, they can afford to continue their pandering to social justice.... and all the while poo-pooing the lifelong fans and their needs/desires. Their SJ agenda targets the woke generation, for sure, but a what cost to them? Have they even asked themselves the question?

A thought just crossed my mind... Hines Ward... now there's a guy who experienced real racism/discrimination. In two countries. By Asians, Whites, and Blacks. Did he cry/whine/kneel/virtue signal? No, all he did was work with a Foundation to bring awareness and use his celebrity status to break barriers. I haven't heard/read if Hines has any recent views on all that's going on right now, but I'd think some of today's athletes could learn a thing or two from Hines on to ACTUALLY work proactively for change. Hash tags and kneeling don't do squat.

Another random thought.... why don't today's athletes/celebrities who protest the police do a 1-week ride along with law enforcement? Especially in crime-ridden neighborhoods. Walk a mile in their shoes, I say. Shoot, ride with Steven Seagal or Shaq, who've both been deputized, if you want. Something tells me they wouldn't do this for a myriad of reasons, none of them constructive.

Back to generational fans ... for the most part, the next generation will never reach the level of fanaticism we had. Not that we (boomers, Gen-Xers) had nothing in our lives but football, but during the fall/winter, Sunday and Monday night were the culmination of a long week at school/work. Today, the teens, 20, 30 year olds have their attentions spans (already short) on to the next big, viral thing. Sports is just another form of entertainment in an ever-growing list of entertainment choices.

The existence of this message board and others like it alone are a testament to our generation's infatuation with the game in general and our team specifically. Diamond Dave started it, handed the baton to Justin, who's carried it well... but imagine a millennial starting a board today from scratch, with the hours and $$ involved, on a team/sport that garners so little of their attention and dedication. This young generation is also filling the rosters of our teams as players, keep that in mind..... so where does this all lead? Whatever the future holds for the game, I'm certain we will see a diluted version of the game we once knew and loved. And that is indeed tragic.

For the second time since 2011, ESPN is reportedly removing Hank Williams Jr. from its “Monday Night Football” intro.

This time, the network claims it’s not about Williams’ controversial points of view, according to Sports Business Journal.

Instead of Williams’ iconic “All My Rowdy Friends Are Here on Monday Night” that became the anthem for weekday football in 1989, ESPN will air a rendition of Little Richard’s “Rip It Up,” mashing the late artist’s vocals with instrumentation from Virginia-based band Butcher Brown, per the report.

I heard Williams told THEM he didn't want them to use his song because of THEIR point of view.

Quote from ESPN, the last line is comical. Guess we'll see Monday night.

“We have decided to part ways with Hank Williams, Jr.,” ESPN said in a statement. “We appreciate his contributions over the past years. The success of Monday Night Football has always been about the games and that will continue.”‬‬

Let me see if I can make my thoughts succinct and to the point.

**** the NFL
**** ESPN

That's all

Premier League starts this weekend. Games Saturday at 7:30AM and 12:30PM on NBC networks.

If I can hold off drinking too much on Friday and wake up early on Saturday, should have the whole house practically to myself. Kids and wife will leave me alone. House will be opened up (good weather predicted) with a hint of fall in the air. Coffee will taste good.
