Iraq 3.0

light them up. “We put up a flag too, it’s red white and ******* blue”

Iran has raised their Red Flag. First time ever. Apparently Baghdad Bob was on the scene talking about the Mullahs annihilating the infidel Americans in mere days. More to come...

WATCH Terrifying moment Iran unveils red flag at Mosque warning of severe battle to come

https://www.express.co.uk/news/worl...-world-war-3-ww3-Donald-Trump-Jamkaran-Mosque

IRAN has issued a terrifying warning to the US as it raised a red flag over the Holy Dome Jamkarān Mosque as a symbol of a severe battle to come.

Iran and US tensions are at an all-time high following the killing of Iranian general Qassem Soleimani by Washington in an airstrike. Global leaders have begun assessing the magnitude of the situation with many holding fears of World War 3 and destabilisation of the Middle East. For the first time in the history of Iran, a red flag was raised over the Holy Dome of Jamkarān Mosque symbolising a severe battle to come. The disturbing war flag reads the words: "Those who want to avenge the blood of Hussein."

Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran Imam Sayyed on Friday vowed “severe revenge” in response to the killing of Soleimani.

Iranian official including the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani stressed the Islamic Republic will take revenge for the commander and others killed.

Can anyone enlighten me as to why it is terrifying? If it were China or perhaps Russia, sure. That's a bit more scary.

All I will say is this. If we are gonna do this, do it full bore, no bullshit rules of engagement outside of the Geneva Convention, and even then as long as they are abiding too. The minute they stop abiding, remove the safety features from all weapons and bury them. It is war. You don't pussyfoot around trying to fight nice. That is why we are still in Afghanistan and Iraq some 20 years later. Help those ******* meet their god. Lord knows they are going to be trying to help you meet yours.

Point is, it can't be any of this half-assed bullshit where politicians cry every time we hammer the bad guys.

I remember before I deployed to Desert Storm I stopped at a video store to rent a movie in my fatigues. The teller at the store who was middle eastern told me how Islamic fighters would fight if half their limbs were cut off. I get to the war zone and 99% of the fighters I saw were either dead, running away or crawling towards me on their hands and knees begging to be taken prisoner. I have zero fear of the lot of them. They attack the weakest and most vulnerable.

The only thing that worries me about Iran is that over the last 20 years, every country in the Middle East knows how to fight our military. They use a guerrilla style that causes casualties even though they are outmanned and outgunned. And we have never really adjusted. We should be training more Soldiers than just our SF guys in guerrilla tactics, and we should be using those tactics offensively. As a nation, we have grown to accept this concept that we need to fight wars as gentlemen, and we try to fight as gentlemen against guys that are willing to go into the gutter and trade their lives for a wounded American, and if they get a dead American, well that is a bonus. Add to it that the politicians in our country want to have a bunch of extra rules to how we fight, and it is frustrating.

In 2012, I was at FOB Salerno in Afghanistan. We were to do a mission but is was cancelled due to weather. We decided to do NVG training within the traffic pattern, practicing one and two wheel landings with our Blackhawks. Our third time around the traffic pattern, we started taking fire from a qalat just outside the hesco barrier. I had a bead on where the fire was coming from and we requested to engage with return fire. See, even in 2012, we hd to request permission to return fire, ridiculous as that may sound. Our request was denied, because according to the JAG officer, we did not know of there were innocent civilians there. Fair enough, but I could see the guy, and I had him dead to rights. He was a dead man, no two ways about it. Anyway, we gave them the grid of the qalat, and ground forces went out and snatched him out of his house. There was no one else there. He told investigators that he was being robbed and was trying to signal us for help. I laughed. It was all I could do, realizing that you don't win that way.

It sucks. And it makes you wonder how many casualties could have been avoided if we just fought like we were trained. It still costs American lives, and it still doesn't make sense.

That sucks...I have a feeling the rules will be different this go around. Someone is shooting at you, turn them into ground chuck. I'm not an expert in the matter but I'd assume that's a pretty good incentive not to take shots at our guys.

I predict suicide car bomb attacks at some Embassy in Africa

Reports say a suicide car bomb hit the front gate.

My guess is that we use a lot of targeted bombing to take out leadership instead. I read a lot of Middle East news and books. My understanding is that the population of Itan doesn't like the government there. We take them out, and we have instant allies, or at least people unwilling to fight.

As for any nukes, I promise you, if they have them Israel knows this, and where they are. Easily nuteuralized. This "WWIII" will be over soon. Unless we fall into the garbage that Sarge described above.

Could be related to Iran, but al Shabab usually only attacks soft targets.,,,,like hotels or malls.

Iraq just voted US to remove our troops

Yippee!

Get out and dont come back!

Let the tribes go back to war against each other over what some goat humping prophet said 1200 years ago

Now how do we get Germany to do the same?

I hope they do leave, and take the $347 million in aid to Iraq with them.

Just wait, all the Democrats will come running to tell us why we need our military to STAY in Iraq

lol

No ****. Part of the 347 Mill (like the billions sent to Iran) is probably funneled off to their campaign funds or some offshore bank account.

you know if we just stop giving aid to the rest of the world for 2 years and instead put that money toward our deficit boom no deficit.

Ted Cruz Trolls Democrats With Senate Resolution Praising The Soleimani Mission

Senator Ted Cruz is promoting a resolution commending the Trump administration for its mission to take out Iranian General Qassem Soleimani. In doing so he is daring the Senate Democrats to oppose it. It is the perfect antidote to the criticism the left has voiced since the news of Soleimani’s death was announced.

If Democrats decide to show disapproval of the resolution, they run the risk of showing disdain for those who carried out the mission to rid the world of Soleimani. The best part is that the resolution is “structured and worded the same way as a 2011 resolution that commended the Obama administration for killing Bin Laden, which received unanimous support in the Senate.”

And over/under of 2 years until you see Saigon 1975 and Black Hawks lifting off of the Embassy just saying.

History repeats itself when you take aid away from learned helplessness.

Iran says they are going to blow up the white house. I would like to see them try that....

1 US service member, 2 DOD contractors killed in terror attack on US base in Kenya

One U.S. service member and two American Department of Defense contractors were killed in a terror attack on a military base in Kenya that houses some U.S. military personnel. The Somali terror group al-Shabab has claimed responsibility for the attack that Kenyan authorities said had been repelled with four militants killed in the fighting.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of our teammates who lost their lives today," U.S. Army Gen. Stephen Townsend, commander of U.S. Africa Command, said in a statement Sunday afternoon. "As we honor their sacrifice, let's also harden our resolve. Alongside our African and international partners, we will pursue those responsible for this attack and al-Shabaab who seeks to harm Americans and U.S. interests."

No worries, General Nancy and her botox army will take over from here.

Nancy Pelosi says House will vote to limit Trump's war powers on Iran as tensions grow

WASHINGTON – On Sunday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said the House of Representatives will vote this week on legislation to limit President Donald Trump's military actions on Iran in the wake of increased tensions between the two countries after Trump ordered an airstrike killing top Iranian General Qasem Soleimani last Thursday

In a letter to Democratic members of the House, Pelosi said the "provocative and disproportionate" airstrike on Soleimani "endangered our servicemembers, diplomats and others by risking a serious escalation of tensions with Iran. " Pelosi thanked lawmakers for their "patriotic leadership" during the tense period.

Yeah, sure. That kind of "patriotism" used to get you the end of a rope.

The House can pass any resolution it wants

The Senate and the President still have to sign off on it to pass it

That's how our government works

Veto!

lol
