This isn't James Harrison of 2008. Some of you act like he would be primed to have 12 sacks if they would've just let him play..

All things must pass. The series he was in for Baltimore he didn’t look like he used to. It’s probably the best thing for both parties at this point.
No one can "claim him," right? Being a vested veteran, he can sign anywhere?
Strictly, linebacker speaking...I just don't understand what the coaching staff sees in Moats.
He's slow, can't cover, and never has had pass rushing skills.
The only excuse you ever hear for Moats being on the team is special teams, except he never makes plays on STs. I guess he blocks on FG attempts but is that really something that should keep him on the team? Can no one else learn that role? James is still a 10x better football player than Moats, it's not close.

Harrison being on the roster this year has proven to be roster mismanagement. You don’t keep a 39 year-old player and then only play him a handful of plays. The Steelers missed an opportunity to retain and develop a young player. I’m not sure they aren’t doing the same thing, albeit to a lesser extent, with William Gay.

aww c'mere
I hated when Franco was no longer a Steeler, ditto Ward, Polomalu and quite a few others. But time marches on. I wish I could do what I could do when I was 20. I hate seeing James go too. He was one bad *** Steeler. I wish he could have been kept on till after this years Playoffs. But I am totally convinced there is a lot we do not know about this. Has to be.
Pretty simple. I'm sure he wanted to contribute. All he did was get paid to workout all season. Play me or cut me. That's my guess. I would have just shut up,worked out, got paid well and waited for the playoffs. You just never know when someone is going to go down.
I would've done the same.
I guess he was frustrated cause he wanted to help.
If I could get paid to workout. I'd keep my trap shut too
****** way to end his Steeler run. And if they have to face the Chiefs again in the post season, it'll be a really stupid move.
