Arthur Smith was going to come in here and end the Matt Canada suffering? Lol Fields is an upgrade at QB over Kenny, Every other aspect of this Offense outside of Pat F has regressed. Picken's is hot and cold, Najee still sucks, worse than ever at this point. O-line is banged up and not playing well but seriously how awful is he? They may be league worst in the run game. So Far Smith has been the same laughing stock he was as a head coach. This Team is painfully boring to watch and the Offense has regressed.

People just mere weeks ago were talking about how the Steelers defense was SPECIAL. going to rival the 2008 D, and some clowns even had the audacity to mention the 85 Bears defense!! Please go watch soccer you have no business watching football saying things like that. TJ is a stud yes, leagues best, but without him generating multiple turnovers a game its not good enough. The rest of the d is trash without him and mediocre even when he's playing lights out. They gave up 450 yds to Dak and a bunch of second rate skill guys on a bad cowboy team. Cee Dee wasn't even the one doing the most damage.

Remember when people were celebrating the Steelers trading DJ? How is that working out? Nice move Kahn. Thank god this clown didn't pay Aiyuk 28 million, or even worse Give Harris an extension. Any other starting Nfl RB averaging 3 ypc on the year?? Trent Richardson 2.0

Bringing in failed coaches and Journeyman QB's expecting them to make Chicken soup out of Chicken sh** with a near league worst RB 1 and 1 NFL caliber WR was never gonna happen.

The worst part is we look like this against bad teams

Hate to say it, this is the Steelers team I expected.

I see a much better offense with Tomlin micomanaging it and a not very good QB.

Where were people saying this? Just because someone on TV or on the web says something to get clicks doesn't mean most fans, who watch them consistently, say the same thing. It seems to me as I read here most take a measured approach.

I believe that Smith is an upgrade over Canada, but he is still being hamstrung by the HC’s refusal to change his philosophy.

Drops Johnson is not exactly lighting things up in Carolina, so moving him is a wash, with removal of a locker room cancer as a bonus.

When we see Wilson behind center things will improve. Fields is on pace for 17 TD passes this year if he plays the full season. Wilson threw for 26 last year without playing the full season on a crappy offense. Even with the mess this article talks about he still got 26 TDs............enough said.

Maybe Russell Wilson wasn’t the Broncos problem after all

That’s what the Broncos told us during the offseason. That’s what the evidence suggested during the preseason. That’s what the hope was heading into the season opener in Seattle.

Then, reality hit.

The critics claimed that Payton’s offense was dated; they suggested that his best days were behind him. Seeing an opener in season two that looked an awful lot like his first year in Denver, with Wilson or Jarrett Stidham behind center, makes it hard not to think that the head coach could be the problem.

Of course, it could be the surrounding cast. That’ll be the excuse that comes for Nix. Heck, Payton threw his receivers under the bus during his halftime interview with CBS.

But no one wanted to hear that reason when Wilson wasn’t the quarterback. They didn’t care that the Broncos had pedestrian wide receivers, a mediocre cast of running backs and arguably the worst tight end room in the NFL.

That made it hard for Wilson to shine. And it certainly made it difficult for Nix on Sunday.

The Broncos can’t run the ball. Their receivers don’t create separation. Their tight ends don’t stretch the field. And Payton doesn’t scheme up plays that have receivers running free.

That was the case last year. And it was the case in Week 1.

Sigh...I remember a time when Steelers fans weren't such sensitive *******. :whip1:
Sigh......I remember a time when we had a more competent HC. Go figure.

Our OL sucks. Wilson will be a sitting duck behind them....with a bum calf or Achilles....our WRs our subpar. Our best WR is moping every week. Our running game.....well we don't have one. Wilson hasn't really played a game in almost a year. That is just on the Offensive side of the ball.

I say good luck Wilson. You will need it. Especially in this Tomlin run scheme. Fingers crossed.

While I agree with that statement, I also remember a time, after the AFCC game loss to the Pats in early '05, when most on here thought the prior head coach was not too competent. He hadn't won it in 14 years or whatever it was, he never will!

For me, look, Tomlin pisses me off. The Steelers piss me off. I am in no way blind to their problems. They aren't even fun to watch. When you think about it, there have been 58 Super Bowls, the Steelers won 6 times. So 52 times, they failed. I understand that in most years that is the way it will be. I can deal with that. I'd just like it to be fun at times. And it hasn't been fun since 2018 or so. But I don't take it personally, and I think some really do, and that may be part of the disconnect.

The Chargers game was fun to watch. That was the most complete game they've played in 3 or 4 seasons. Then they **** the bed and that is why we're all here bitching about Tomlin. We see the potential of his teams and then they disappear and look like a 1/4 of themselves. It's frustrating as **** .

“Short” weeks ago is right.
Seems like the season just started and here we are approaching the 6th week.
Sucks balls how time flies.

If only we played a backup QB every week
