I keep hearing about the great threat to democracy these audits are causing. The only threat to democracy is if they uncover massive fraud. Then you have a serious problem. Maricopa County, AZ and Fulton County, GA are not a great start for those screaming that the election is on the up and up. I sincerely hope it's not any bigger than that, because if it is, it will tear this country to shreds.

And the irony is, the same people screaming that we shouldn't question the electoral process are the same people that questioned it and fomented discord over it for four straight years, to include the crash test dummy in office now.

I think you have to let this process play out. And while that is happening, you have to realize that this will be the case after each and every presidential election this country sees for the foreseeable future. All elections will be challenged and audited. And maybe that's just what we need to restore this country's faith in the electoral system.

Same people who said Trump colluded with Russians to win the election so quickly pivoted and say there was no fraud in this election. I wonder why. Maybe if the RNC had created a fake dossier and sicked the FBI on dims things would be different.....

That is an argument that needs to be addressed, and obviously one Tibilo has not raised since it is cogent. The response is, "Then make the process absolutely transparent. Give us the passwords, the pictures of the envelopes, the chain of custody so we can determine who ****** up, why, and who benefited."

(D)imbo response, "NO!! Most secure election ever, don't review, no, we will never show our work!"

Which of course leads people with the intellect greater than that of a toadstool - i.e., non-(D)imbos - to suspect the (D)imbos have something to hide.

Vastly different, if for no other reason than the 2020 election fraud involves something that actually happened.

That's true. But the goal is not to help Trump but to demonstrate the massive failure of the election process last November.

if anything, this will show that either the election process is as corrupted as you alleged it was in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and leading up to election day 2020. So in one sense, you should want this to happen so you'd be right. however, this audit could also show that the election process was as virginal as can be, which could help heal the nation.

And that's the point of all of this, making it as easy to vote as possible, while making it impossible to cheat. Changes need to be made and better oversight for the midterms.
This won't happen if D.C. gains control of our elections.

Since Tiblio has brought up insurrection in this thread, I found it odd that he hasn't wailed and acted like a monkey about this.

Democratic Congresswoman Joyce Beatty was arrested in the Hart Senate Office Building Thursday after she led a group of protesters into the building.

Democratic Congresswoman Joyce Beatty was arrested in the Hart Senate Office Building Thursday after she led a group of protesters into the building.

A photo posted by Politico reporter Nicholas Wu shows Beatty, and others, being zip tied by Capitol Police.



Beatty, who is the head of the Congressional Black Caucus, was seen moments earlier walking into the building chanting "end the filibuster."





Around the same time of the arrest, Beatty posted on her Twitter account that she was marching to the Senate to protect voting rights for black women.

Black women are demanding OUR right to vote! We’re marching to the Senate to send a strong message. #OurPowerOurMessage" Beatty tweeted.



Beatty’s Twitter account also posted a photo of the arrest taking place with the caption, "Let the people fight for justice." (In January, these words were 'calls for an insurrection' - now not so much)



"This afternoon, nine people were arrested for demonstrating in a prohibited area on Capitol Grounds," the Capitol Police said in a statement to Fox News. "At approximately 3:30pm, the United States Capitol Police responded to the Atrium in the Hart Senate Office Building for reports of illegal demonstration activity. After officers arrived on the scene, they warned the demonstrators three times to stop. Those who refused were arrested for D.C. Code §22-1307. Two males and seven females were transported to USCP Headquarters for processing."

On the one hand you can complain that the news source that is COVERING it is not reputable. Likewise, we can claim the national news media NOT COVERING this information is negligent.

This will be an uphill battle getting any results widely broadcast.

I watched the CBS affiliate just now. Their take on the 2 hour Senate hearing? Why they want the auditors to go door to door asking how you voted.

Their "political correspondent" snarling that the justice department has warned them about such tactics. Fuckem.
