Member of Congress and Aide shot this morning

The high horse you guys ride around on is something else. Really.

This was a 2 minute cursory search on the subject...

- Donald Trump supporter threatens to assassinate Hillary Clinton if she wins
- Hillary Clinton Assassination Threats That Prove Just How Ugly This Race Has Become
- Donald Trump Suggests ‘Second Amendment People’ Could Act Against Hillary Clinton
- Ted Nugent’s repeated calls for Obama’s death didn’t stop Trump from hosting him at the White House
- Here’s Evidence Steve Bannon Joined a Facebook Group That Posts Racist Rants and Obama Death Threats
- Man sentenced for posting online threat against Obama
- Former N.J. man accused of death threat against President Obama on Facebook

Wow, congrats, a list of fringe individuals advocating violence.

You didn't even follow the argument.

Let me repeat. Leftism is a religion now to its followers. Their preachers are MSNBC, HuffPo, the LATimes, the WashPo, CNN...the list goes on. These sites are apologists for the violence of the left, justifying it wherever it crops up - Ferguson, Baltimore, college campuses, hell even ISIS. Some of these sites are imploring their viewers to commit violence.

You're saying there are individuals out there willing to commit violence and I'm pointing out something completely different. Like Islam implores its followers to kill non-believers, the Left is beginning to implore its followers to attack their political adversaries. Surely you see the difference.

And now, it's begun. Some of the nut jobs are following the preaching....on campuses, in riots, against cops, and now against politicians.

Your equivalency fails. The Left has mobilized and become violent. You want to dismiss it despite seeing it.

Please enlighten me how the following publications are 'imploring their viewers to commit violence':

MSNBC, HuffPo, the LATimes, the WashPo, CNN

Thank you.

Supe already posted on the prior page:

http://www.allenbwest.com/derrick-w...dition-huffpo-writer-posts-despicable-message

"Just days before the attack Jesse Benn, a writer for the Huffington Post wrote a piece inciting liberals to violence against Trump.

The article, updated on June 6th, says “There’s an inherent value in forestalling Trump’s normalization. Violent resistance accomplishes this.” As CNS News reported, Benn calls anti-violence liberals ignorant and misguided because they refuse to accept the proven value of violent resistance:

“They misunderstand the desired outcome from violent resistance and those protesting Trump in general. And third, they ignore the history of successful violent insurrection in the US, instead favoring the elementary school version of history in which nonviolence is the only means of struggle that’s ever achieved a thing.”

Is it any surprise then, that Benn should double down after violence is actually used against Trump supporters?

Hahaha. As always, this one is my fault.

And for the record, **** #SteveScalise. https://t.co/kQAKu6ZXzL

— Jesse Benn (@JesseBenn) June 14, 2017

For violent resistance to work it'd need to be organized. Individual acts can be understandable, but likely counterproductive/ineffective.

— Jesse Benn (@JesseBenn) June 14, 2017

What's more harmful: Putting millions already on the margins more at-risk via draconian policies, or shooting a racist lawmaker in the hip?

— Jesse Benn (@JesseBenn) June 14, 2017"

Ok, so Jesse Benn is an *******. I disagree with him. He's got a right to his opinion as do I. But your cause and effect argument is a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge reach. You like to connect the dots in your own mind, nobody will stop you from doing so. Following your line of argument in this thread, it must be said your blanket statements and generalizations are far removed from reality.

I'll add some more examples:

"At this year’s Screen Actors Guild awards, “Stranger Things” actor David Harbour openly advocated committing criminal violence against political opponents. Harbour had also approved of the assault against [Richard B.] Spencer, and for his explicit call to political violence at the SAG awards, Harbour received a standing ovation from the crowd.

You’re not reading that wrong: a famous actor called for violence against his fellow Americans, and a bunch of other famous actors were totally for it. So were much of the media: Vanity Fair called Harbour’s speech “explosive,” MTV called it “inspiring,” Metro called it a “rousing call to arms,” People magazine called it “passionate,” Rolling Stone called it “fiery.”

"That Scott down there that's running for governor of Florida. Instead of running for governor of Florida, they ought to have him and shoot him. Put him against the wall and shoot him. He stole billions of dollars from the United States government and he's running for governor of Florida. He's a millionaire and a billionaire. He's no hero. He's a damn crook. It's just we don't prosecute big crooks." -- Rep. Paul Kanjorski, D-Pa

“..And then there’s Rumsfeld who said of Iraq ‘We have our good days and our bad days.’ We should put this S.O.B. up against a wall and say ‘This is one of our bad days’ and pull the trigger. Do you want to salvage our country? Be a savior of our country? Then vote for John Kerry and get rid of the whole Bush Bunch.” — From a fund raising ad put out by the St. Petersburg Democratic Club

“Republicans don’t believe in the imagination, partly because so few of them have one, but mostly because it gets in the way of their chosen work, which is to destroy the human race and the planet. Human beings, who have imaginations, can see a recipe for disaster in the making; Republicans, whose goal in life is to profit from disaster and who don’t give a hoot about human beings, either can’t or won’t. Which is why I personally think they should be exterminated before they cause any more harm.” — The Village Voice’s Michael Feingold, in a theater review of all places

“Cheney deserves same final end he gave Saddam. Hope there are cell cams.” — Rep. Chuck Kruger (D-Thomaston)
“If I had my way, I would see Katherine Harris and Ken Blackwell strapped down to electric chairs and lit up like Christmas trees. The better to light the way for American Democracy and American Freedom!” — Democratic Talk Radio’s Stephen Crockett

“I hope Roger Ailes dies slow, painful, and soon. The evil that man has done to the American tapestry is unprecedented for an individual.” — Think Progress editor Alan Pyke

"Or pick up a baseball bat and take out every f*cking republican and independent I see. #f*cktrump, #f*cktheGOP, #f*ckstraightwhiteamerica, #f*ckyourprivilege." -- Orange is the New Black star Lea DeLaria responding to a meme about using music to deal with violence

Sorry Liberals, A Violent Response To Trump Is As Logical As Any - Jesse Benn's infamous cry for violence
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/jesse-benn/sorry-liberals-a-violent-_b_10316186.html

Liberal commentator Noam Chomsky once wrote, “people with power understand exactly one thing: violence.”

HuffPost Calls for Nationwide Harassment of Trump Backers
http://www.newsbusters.org/blogs/cu...ty-huffpost-calls-nationwide-harassment-trump

Michelangelo Signorile...According to a Signorile actual quote, no official or pundit “should be able to sit down for a nice, quiet lunch or dinner in a Washington, DC eatery or even in their own homes. They should be hounded by protestors everywhere, especially in public ― in restaurants, in shopping centers, in their districts, and yes, on the public property outside their homes and apartments, in Washington and back in their home states.” His childish rant continued, saying, “events should be disrupted.”

The left’s insanity has gained momentum from incidents during the campaign and turned into an avalanche of crazy -- less than four months into President Donald Trump’s first term. In that time, we’ve had three riots in Berkeley, Calif., and an inaugural riot so bad that 200 people have been charged with felonies. One of those has already been convicted. So-called “antifa” attacks on Trump events are now common and conservative speakers like Ann Coulter have to cancel events out of a fear of violence. A Portland, Ore., parade was shut down for similar threats against the right. The ironically-named Students for Justice in Palestine just shut down a pro-Israel event at The University of California, Irvine, shouting “f*** you” at attendees.

One Tennessee woman was so upset over media hype about the health care vote that she reportedly, “tried to run Rep. David Kustoff (R-Tenn.) off the road,” - sites like Jezebel and BuzzFeed defended this woman's actions

Democrat Rep. John Lewis used a commencement speech to urge Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts graduates to “get in the way, get in trouble.” Listicle site Buzzfeed’s staffers joked on internal social media that,“Maybe someone will assassinate him,” meaning Trump. But an old reliable went even farther. GQ’s shock monkey Keith Olbermann even urged foreign intelligence agencies to target Trump because somehow America has become victim of a “coup.”

And just yesterday, CNN, on the would-be assassin in Alexandria: "CNN host Wolf Blitzer refuses to push back against claims that the gunman who shot republicans was not “evil.”"

Senator Tim Kaine, would-be VP, tweeted in January calling people to fight in the streets against Trump

In October - A Democratic operative whose organization was helping Hillary Clinton's campaign announced Tuesday that he would be "stepping back" from the campaign after an edited video suggested that he and other staffers hired people to attend Donald Trump's campaign rallies and incite violence.

CNN promotes violence on the ground after Election: https://twitter.com/amtvmedia/status/796589776715530240

CNN ran the infamous article titled "If Trump is killed during the inauguration, Obama Appointee would be President." - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4137436/CNN-says-Trump-s-death-lead-Democrat-President.html

5 times during the Baltimore Riots that CNN whipped up violence: http://www.breitbart.com/big-journa...e-times-cnn-whipped-up-violence-in-baltimore/

1. In front of the still smoldering city of Baltimore and the whole world, afternoon CNN anchor Brooke Baldwin used her show to float the monstrous idea that the Baltimore police department might be handing unstable veterans badges and guns.

It would take CNN and Baldwin until the next morning to retract this incendiary charge.

2. Wednesday night, less than 48 hours after 200 black-owned businesses had been burnt out, and live on the air during primetime, CNN anchor Chris Cuomo warned a young, black Baltimore protester against the police, “Just be careful, cuz you know how they are …If you seem like you’re being provocative towards them, you know how things can go.”

Cuomo was not only intentionally sowing further seeds of distrust between the community and the police, he was lying. If anything, the restraint the police showed during the rioting went too far in the direction of inaction.

3. In real-time, as a poor, predominantly black city was besieged by savages intent on rioting, looting, and burning out 200 mostly black-owned businesses., a paid CNN commentator used his time on CNN to send this message: "No, there shouldn’t be calm tonight. Black people are dying in the streets. We also have to be very careful about the language we use to talk about this. I’m not calling these people rioters. I’m calling these uprisings and I think it’s an important distinction to make."

4. Marc Lamont: "I play basketball with them. I might drink with them, but it’s something about the job itself and the structure of law enforcement in America itself that becomes an occupying force and – they’re an occupying force in the hood. That’s my issue."

5. Miguel Marquez: CNN Reporter Intentionally Provokes Confrontation with Baltimore Cop: ‘Are We Under Martial Law’ when asked to move locations.

Should I carry on? My claim stands. The MSM (and Democratic leaders) are asking for violence - and they are getting it.

LOL Tibs, you are in such denial it's scary. See my prior post. It's nearly daily that someone on the Left, including the MSM - CNN and HuffPo as quoted (in multiple instances) are calling for violence.

But keep saying it isn't so. Your connection to reality is non-existent. Yesterday was the reality. It's here. It's been called for. One nut job delivered. BLM has been delivering. AntiFa has been delivering. Soros has been supplying soldiers.

How much more evidence do you need?

Still waiting for all of those examples of Conservatives rioting after losing elections, tearing apart cities, demonstrating when we are murdered, maimed, and killed in hate crimes, when we take up arms against our political opponents.

Waiting.

Just waiting.

It's nearly daily that someone on the Left, including the MSM - CNN and HuffPo are calling for violence.
I simply don't know how to respond to this. You live in a fantasy world. There is nothing I can do to help you.
Just waiting.
Keep waiting. I doubt anything at this point will lift the veil from your eyes. I guess it makes life simple - nice and easy - to see things exclusively though such a narrow viewpoint. No need to run out and buy any horseblinders, you've got yours built-in, 24-7.

This has to stop. The level of discord between our political parties is what is feuling **** like this. Some have even become unhinged. They have to realize that spreading nonsense every day is only going to lead to more of this. It is time for some honesty and integrity to be restored to our government. Enough is enough.

This is from page one and says it all. People need to grow up, realize Trump won, and deal with it. Shut the **** up and wait until 2020, or it will turn into a civil war.

No, you do Tibs.

Baltimore happened.
Yesterday happened.
Ferguson happened.
Berkeley happened - three times.
Everything I listed happened.

You want to write it off. Pretend as if it never occurred.

That is the definition of fantasy.

The issue here is that this guy is parroting mainstream talking points from the media and Dem leadership. Every move Trump makes is denounced as pure hate and evil. Leaving the Paris treaty will kill people. Repealing Obamacare is ethnic cleansing. etc. The rhetoric is out of control and needs to be acknowledged. The left is promoting hate, not just dissent. Of course there are people on the right who go too far but they are generally fringe individuals. That's the difference. This guy's beliefs are mainstream for today's liberals.

all this violent talk you guys think the right was spewing about trying to get people riled and it is a socialist/democrat who actually started shooting at the government.....

So you're saying Donald Trump's policies, his disparaging views against women, minorities and muslims, his bull-in-the-china-shop behaviour, his divisive language, his relentless scapegoating, his hazy financial dealings, his attacks on Obama, Hillary and Democrats in general - has played no role in all this? Yup, Trump and his supporters are clean as a whistle. The president and his cabinet have been nothing but stable, decent and transparent. It's soley the meanspirited liberals that are the cause of all this political chaos. Duly noted.

Alex Jones Tells Trump To Use Violence Against His Opponents

Jones To Trump: “You Must Go On The Offense. This Is War. You Think George Washington Kicked The Redcoats' *** Just With Information? No.”

Infowars host Alex Jones threatens Adam Schiff: “I’ll beat your goddamn ***”
http://www.salon.com/2017/04/04/inf...eatens-adam-schiff-ill-beat-your-goddamn-***/

Rep. Adam Schiff of California is the ranking Democratic member of the House Intelligence Committee and a strong critic of President Donald Trump’s alleged connections to Russia.

Jones denounced Schiff, saying that he “looks like the archetypal ********** with those little deer-in-the-headlight eyes and all his stuff. And there’s something about this fairy, hopping around, bossing everybody around, trying to intimidate people like me and you.”

In keeping with an earlier comment by Republican political operative Roger Stone criticizing the high-ranking Democratic on the House Intelligence Committee and calling its members “*******,” Jones declared, “you get in my face with that I’ll beat your goddamn ***, you son of a *****.”

The peaceful & harmonious right leaving its mark.

Right-wing terror attacks

Right-wing terror has been on a worrying increase since 2008. Attacks are usually by loners with no allies, not (thankfully) organised groups. But the trend is increasing and is very worrying. Here is a list of right-wing terror attacks since 1990.

thesteelcity there are raging lunatics on both ends of the political spectrum, there's no doubt about it. I'd argue the so called alt-right is as batshit crazy as anything happening on the far left. It may not seem that way on this board, as that is the prevelant POV here.

Where are the assassination attempts by conservatives? Where are the taxpayer funded plays showing people murdering liberal politicians? Where are the riots, sorry "demonstrations" by conservatives where people are attacked and property is damaged? This "both sides are just as guilty" argument is BULLSHIT!!! The libs are the ones who are completely unhinged.

Please enlighten me how the following publications are 'imploring their viewers to commit violence':

MSNBC, HuffPo, the LATimes, the WashPo, CNN

Thank you.

And was the MSM responsible for the leftist violence of the 60's?

Should the MSM have not reported it when Trump boasted of being able to shoot people and still have people vote for him? Should they have not reported it when Trump suggested 2nd amendment people could take care of Hillary? Is that what you mean by the MSM inciting violence?

You hate Trump too, but have you killed anyone yet? You ***** no matter what the situation refuse to take responsibility for anything.

Wishing people they disagree with die, violence, and advocating for it is in the lefts DNA.

Was Trump president when that Democrat from New Hampshire wished Sarah Palin was aboard the plane that crashed killing Sen. Ted Stevens? Was Trump president during the Occupy Wall Street riots?
Was Trump President when Liberal terrorist and Obama buddy Bill Ayers was in business?

From Bill Ayers, to Romney supporters getting beaten, to slashing the tires of RNC cars intended to transport voters to voting booths, to Black Panthers with clubs threatening voters, to college student rioting over Trumps election, to students rioting over conservative speakers appearing at colleges, to that Kathy Griffin ***** and her head of a decapitated Trump, to a play by the NY Theater depicting Trump being stabbed to death...

I don't need to hear kumbaya singing and "we need to come together" bullshit. We'll "come together" after liberals clean up their act.

Twenty liberal calls for violence against conservatives.

https://townhall.com/columnists/joh...ence-against-conservatives-in-quotes-n2341401

1) "Michele (Bachmann), slit your wrist. Go ahead... or, do us all a better thing [sic]. Move that knife up about two feet. Start right at the collarbone." -- Montel Williams

2) “F*ck that dude. I’ll smack that f*cker’s comb-over right off his f*cking scalp. Like, for real, if I met Donald Trump, I’d punch him in his f*cking face. And that’s not a joke. Even if he did become president — watch out, Donald Trump, because I will punch you in your f*cking face if I ever meet you. Secret Service had better just f*cking be on it. Don’t let me anywhere within a block.”– Rapper Everlast on Donald Trump

3) “I have zero doubt that if Dick Cheney was not in power, people wouldn’t be dying needlessly tomorrow….I’m just saying if he did die, other people, more people would live. That’s a fact.” — Bill Maher

4) “I know how the ‘tea party’ people feel, the anger, venom and bile that many of them showed during the recent House vote on health-care reform. I know because I want to spit on them, take one of their “Obama Plan White Slavery” signs and knock every racist and homophobic tooth out of their Cro-Magnon heads.” — The Washington Post’s Courtland Milloy

5) “F*** God D*mned Joe the God D*mned Motherf*cking plumber! I want Motherf*cking Joe the plumber dead.” — Liberal talk show host Charles Karel Bouley on the air.

6) “Are you angry? [Yeah!] Are you angry? [Yeah!] Are you angry? [Yeah!] Well, we’ve been watching intifada in Palestine, we’ve been watching an uprising in Iraq, and the question is that what are we doing? How come we don’t have an intifada in this country? Because it seem to me, that we are comfortable in where we are, watching CNN, ABC, NBC, Fox, and all these mainstream… giving us a window to the world while the world is being managed from Washington, from New York, from every other place in here in San Francisco: Chevron, Bechtel, [Carlyle?] Group, Halliburton; every one of those lying, cheating, stealing, deceiving individuals are in our country and we’re sitting here and watching the world pass by, people being bombed, and it’s about time that we have an intifada in this country that change fundamentally the political dynamics in here. And we know every – They’re gonna say some Palestinian being too radical — well, you haven’t seen radicalism yet.” U.C. Berkeley Lecturer Hatem Bazian fires up the crowd at an anti-war rally by calling for an American intifada

7) "That Scott down there that's running for governor of Florida. Instead of running for governor of Florida, they ought to have him and shoot him. Put him against the wall and shoot him. Which is why I personally think they should be exterminated before they cause any more harm.” — The Village Voice’s Michael Feingold, in a theater review of all places

10) “But the victim is also inaccurately being eulogized as a kind and loving religious man. Make no mistake, as disgusting and deservedly dead as the hate-filled fanatical Muslim killers were, Thalasinos was also a hate-filled bigot. Death can’t change that. But in the U.S., we don’t die for speaking our minds. Or we’re not supposed to anyway. Thalasinos was an anti-government, anti-Islam, pro-NRA, rabidly anti-Planned Parenthood kinda guy, who posted that it would be “Freaking Awesome” if hateful Ann Coulter was named head of Homeland Security.” — Linda Stasi, New York Daily News,on a victim murdered in the San Bernadino terrorist attack

11) “Cheney deserves same final end he gave Saddam. Hope there are cell cams.” — Rep. Chuck Kruger (D-Thomaston)

15) “I hope Roger Ailes dies slow, painful, and soon. The evil that man has done to the American tapestry is unprecedented for an individual.” — Think Progress editorAlan Pyke

16) “But, you know, the NRA members are the current incarnation of the brownshirts from Germany back in the early ’30s, late ’20s, early ’30s. Now, of course, there came the Night of the Long Knives when the brownshirts were slaughtered and dumped in the nearest ditches when the power structure finally got tired of them. So I look forward to that day.” — Mike Malloy

Scalise is still in very critical condition. Had another surgery last night and more blood given to him. He got hit in the hip, but the bullet tore through his organs and exited out the other side. So he's in bad shape.

Never in my life have I seen the level of hatred for a person like I am seeing for Trump. And it saddens me. People can't even disagree anymore without the threat of viloence. Families are torn apart over Trump, friendships ended, lives have almost been lost. Over Trump. Let that sink in.

well, after reading Tibs' thoughtful retorts, I'm perfectly fine with how the left is acting.
i mean, the right did THREATEN to do things. And he listed some things that were attributed to the right.
of course, there was nothing - not one damn thing - that the left has done in this time frame Tibs cited that would have been seen as equal or even provoking.

guess it's all just fun and games and no one has to take personal responsibility or act like ******* adults anymore.

Tib's If what the left said about the right being violent and neo Nazi wouldn't we have seen some form of round up and liberals being put in gulag or shot or something I mean isn't that what Nazis do? THe hateful right has so far not only not rounded up the liberals but has given them free reign to preach their hate for the right and say pretty much whatever the hell they want to without any fear of reprisal. That should not be possible according to many liberals. Where is the violence and suppression and death that should be accompanying conservatives being in power? I have not seen one old person wheeled off a cliff yet. The only calls I see for restrictions on dissent come strictly from leftists.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Indiana State Police say shots were fired at a truck carrying a “Make America Great Again” flag and an American flag on eastbound I-465 Tuesday.

Officers believe the shots were fired from a newer white 4-door Chevrolet Malibu with a Louisiana plate near Emerson Avenue around 4 p.m.

The victim and a witness informed police that the Malibu pulled up next to the pickup truck, a passenger held a handgun out of the window and then a male fired several shots.

http://fox59.com/2017/06/15/several...rying-make-america-great-again-flag-on-i-465/

You lefties keep poking the bear. At some point we will start shooting back, and we are better armed and better shots. It will not be a fair fight.
