My gameplan for tonight

Play nickle all game. Roberts on first. Wilson on anything second and five or longer. Play zone. Drop Wilson and Queen into that 7 to 15 yard middle of the field pocket he wants so bad. Eyes on. Guess right apple turnover. Game the SS Elliot who is playing terrific sending odd 5 man pressure. If they play cover two man and get diced over the middle I guess we can all see what Tomlin is.

Our base defense changed to the nickel about 2 years ago.

I agree that it should be the base against a 'throwing QB', like A A Ron; but...bringing pressure and disguising those coverages is key.

Say what you will, but JPJ better tackle better today---the Jets have the big advantage at WR tonight. They can all separate and make catches (on demand)...

Sit in zone all night and he’ll be carving it up before halftime

I’d hope to win coin toss, have some long sustained drives in first half to keep their offense off the field and maybe score 10-14 before the break.

Mix up man press and weaker zone schemes in the first half and save best packages for after the break and hopefully have something he hasn’t seen and already adjusted to…

Repeat offensive philosophy in second half, long clock killing drives and another 10-14

Hope like hell 20-28 is enough and the good defensive unit shows up

Fully prepared for Rusty Wilson to be back there getting his *** kicked and Rodgers schooling the Tomlin D making the second half unnecessary to even watch tho…gotta bad feeling about this one. Hope I’m wrong.

A loss still only counts as 1 in the standings. So, I go into the game willing to lose maybe big in an effort to win. I blitz the hell out of him. See how he moves on that repaired achilles. Hit him as much as possible. Take a 15 if you need to.

On offense, throw the ball early, see if you can get a bit of a lead. Maybe a little hurry up. Get Pickens in it right away.

I love ground and pound. But I've always thought against these good QBs, you have to be ultra aggressive in your gameplan or they will get you in the end.

See just hire me as consultant. Wilson's best game so far. Maybe Queen too. Rogers had nothing deep. He has the middle and the back in space. They didn't take it away but they limited it. Pulled his teeth

That’s what scares me

I was thankfully wrong on our zone coverage all game long. Defense was mixed up all game long.

Only wished we would have sent an extra guy or 2 a bit more. In the end our D played a pretty good game. Props to them and the coaches.

Those couple of timely picks really helped the D that came out of the gates looking like the porous D we’ve strutted out a couple of times this year.

Kudos to the D for getting the ship righted and making some game changing plays and to the offense that showed some aggression down the field.

A solid performance by all 3 units and a solid win thankfully. Glad my worries were unfounded after they got past the early miscues on D and the rust by the QB.
