Steelers have to be willing to move on from the good when great is available. They coulda had Henry or Saquon easily.
I'm done arguing with the haters. The world will still spin and nothing ever really makes them happy.I just don't get the Najee hate. He is a good running back running behind a ****** line in an outdated system.
You must not be woke.first off his yards per carry is right there with the greats that played on this team (I posted the numbers once in this thread)
and secondly he plays behind what is probably the worst line in the league while splitting time with Warren and still manages to get a 1000 yards a year.
Every time Harris touches the ball he is looking at nine guys in the box. Why? because everyone in the ******* league knows every ******* play we are going to run. Put any other back int the league on this team and see what their numbers would be.
Our problem is not Harris or even Pickens with his attitude. Everyone on the face of this planet with the exception of Art ll and those that are either Tomlin nut huggers or ******* DEI lunatics Know our problems rest squarely on the shoulders of Mike Tomlin.
Our problems are not necessarily player problems but coach and ownership. Art is either afraid to fire his black head coach, somehow thinks have a black head coach makes him look good or he just plain doesn't care about winning.
I said what I said and whoever doesn't like it can **** all the way off...
Easily?? Saquon Barkley signed with the Eagles for $37.75 mil, $26 mil of which was guaranteed. If you actually think the Steelers were gonna outbid the Eagles for his services, you must be brand-new to Steeler fanhood lolSteelers have to be willing to move on from the good when great is available. 38 for 3 years? That's 13 per and people are acting like Najee will get 9-10. Yeah that's easy money for 2005 yards rushing. How much was Henry, even cheaper? RBs are cheap, even at the top.Easily?? Personally I would love to see what those 2 could have done behind this OL while running into stacked boxes. Playing for the easiest offense to game plan against. Also I wonder what Harris would have done on the more complete offenses of the Eagles and Ravens with their OL and....."above the line" offensive system.38 for 3 years? Could they? Henry and Barkley may not have chosen Steelers over Ravens and Eagles, even if the Steelers offered more money.Steelers have to be willing to move on from the good when great is available. They coulda had Henry or Saquon easily.
Hmmm…Omar did the right thing putting Naj on notice & Najee with everything on the line produced the exact same way as always...No vision, no speed, no burst & his answers on interviews can leave one puzzled
We need a new RB...We cannot win with 3 yards & a cloud of dust with Najee 3.0
I wish I had a stat for how many 3 yard runs I have seen from him in his 3 years...Like literally EVERY RUN OF HIS
Man I soooooo wanted to like Harris, but as Sean McCoy said about Naj last week "I think we can ALL agree Najee Harris ain't it"...
Najee ain't it...
1000 empty yards for 4 straignt years...1000 yards in 17 games is pretty anemic...1000 yards meant something at 14 games, 17 games? Not so much...All his “1000” yard seasons are "barely" over 1000 yards...Such relative small production from such a big back..
Najee ain't it...
NAJEE 3.0 It's time to go, yo....
Ravens and Eagles are good at identifying talent. Steelers have some catching up to do.Could they? Henry and Barkley may not have chosen Steelers over Ravens and Eagles, even if the Steelers offered more money.
Hmmm…
Who was adamant we draft him in round 1 and bragged that he was the target all along? Who coached him? Who told him when he asked for help as rookie that he’d figure it out on his own?
Najee has been average, just like everyone but Watt that Tomlin coaches has become
Very rarely do backs that average less than 4ypc see such a high percentage of the offense go through them…but in 17 games with his best trait of availability sure Najee can stack 1000 yard seasons. You can average less than 60 yards per game and get to 1000…whoopty doo. I honestly do respect his best trait as he keeps being available…not super easy at that position.I've been away.
You're reaching with your opinion, and that's fine. 4 consecutive 1000 yard campaigns has only been done once before. Bust
Scheme and OL chemistry/injuries should have been mentioned but you overlooked those facts.
He's also a great teammate.
Yeah, let's get rid of guys like that and bring in more headcases...
Running behind that stacked O line at Bama verse lower level talent defensive lines (comparatively speaking) definitely madeHarris finished his college career with 3,843 rushing yards, the most in Alabama history. In his senior year, he rushed for 1,466 yards and 26 touchdowns.
Harris finished his college career with 57 touchdowns, the most in Alabama history.
It amazes me how Harris forgot how to find gaps and holes to run through when he turned pro.
I think Harris would be a beast behind Phillys O line.
Barkley would be very average in Pittsburgh.
Problem is your offensive players need to be weapons. As if they are just ok a defense can spend more time in other areas that are more explosive. It doesn’t give an offense an explosive balance. The best O’s are strong in the trenches , their RB no1 is hard to contain. Their WR 1 is hard to contain. Their TE is hard to contain. The Steelers have a few ok guys and a lot of mediocre at best.Looking through my eyes...
Najee doesn't have the required burst/speed or vision/anticipation be considered a top 5 or even top 10 back...
His strengths are his ability to put a helmet on every week, and has the capability to run the ball 25-30 times a game if needed,

If you don’t have the stars at this positions you better have a better than average nucleus. They lack that as well.
I will leave it from just the player perspective.

You actually the Steelers would be willing to pay that?? I don't. Not then, not now, not tomorrow.
But it's a long time since they've paid big money to a running back. They are up against the cap every year. They don't go cheap on contracts

Great. Fantastic. I like Najee and want him to be a star. But what is the point of keeping him here. He has been 100% consistent every year. Down to about a 150 yards between his very best season and his worst. Is he going to be a star here? That is the question.Watch Vrabel pick him up and make him a star.
