Brilliant move!

WARSAW, Poland — President Donald Trump is breaking with tradition by visiting Poland, an ex-communist country in central Europe, before making a presidential visit to longtime allies Britain, France or Germany.

Trump is following in the footsteps of President George W. Bush, who after becoming president in 2001 made a trip to Poland before going to those other nations.

The White House has stressed Poland’s importance as a loyal NATO ally and its potential as an energy partner as reasons for Trump’s visit, which he will make Thursday just before attending a Group of 20 summit in Hamburg, Germany. But there are several other reasons that make Poland a logical early destination for the new U.S. president.

Trump will be welcomed in Poland by populist leaders who are closely aligned with his worldview and who gained power in 2015 with the same brand of nationalistic, anti-Muslim rhetoric that has put both the new U.S. leader and the Poles in conflict with leaders in Western Europe.

Like Trump, Poland’s leaders seek to restore more national sovereignty and weaken international institutions like the European Union. Some political observers worry that the visit could further deepen divisions between Poland and its Western European partners.

The hundreds of thousands of Polish-American voters in the United States represent an important constituency in several battleground states, and last year they helped give Trump the edge he needed in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.

They will certainly be grateful for Trump’s visit to Warsaw, especially since he has chosen to address Poles at Krasinski Square, a location that symbolizes Polish heroism during World War II.

During Trump’s visit to Warsaw, he will also attend a summit devoted to the Three Seas Initiative, an effort to expand and modernize energy and trade links among 12 countries located between the Baltic, Adriatic and Black seas.

One driving purpose of the initiative is to make the region less dependent on Russian energy. Under the project, U.S. exports of liquefied natural gas (LNG), which began arriving in Poland in early June, would have the potential to supply more of the region.

The visit coincides with efforts by Trump’s administration to become a net exporter of oil, gas and other resources to boost U.S. revenues and influence.

POLSKII!

With the Brit's running their mouth about not wanting Trump to visit, I would give them their wish.

They carried out interrogations for us for many years.

The nation of Poland prepared a hero's welcome for U.S. President Donald Trump

Lawmakers in the formerly communist nation see in Trump a mirror of their own brand of nationalism that has seen many Poles bristle against an iron-fisted European Union centered on Germany.

Among the European nations, Poland is one of the holdouts against the notion of resettling massive numbers of foreigners.

'The Polish government has the same position as Americans — we want strict restrictions on refugees,” legislator Krzysztof Mróz told The Wall Street Journal.

Down with Islam!

HOLY WAR!

President Trump frames anti-terrorism fight as a clash of civilizations, defending Western culture

President Trump’s speech in Warsaw cast the fight against terrorism as a clash of civilizations, adopting a framework that his two predecessors had determinedly avoided and linking it to his controversial policies on immigration.

The speech on Thursday offered extended praise for what Trump described as the unique virtues of Western civilization, which he said faced “dire threats.”

Those, he said, emanate from the “south or the east” — apparently a thinly veiled reference to the Islamic world — and could “erase the bonds of culture, faith and tradition that make us who we are.”

“The fundamental question of our time is whether the West has the will to survive,” he said, one of nearly a dozen times that he invoked the idea of “will” during the course of the approximately 40-minute speech.

Trump Triumphs in Europe

President Trump made a magnificent and inspiring speech in Poland yesterday, one filled with a soaring defense of democracy and free societies and even a free press.

Naturally, the fake free press in the U.S. in unison declared the speech to be “dark”, in keeping with the approved talking points it had received in advance from the Democrat Party.

CNN’s bed-wetting fake White House reporter, the petulant Jim Acosta, told that network’s fading viewer base that President Trump’s joint press conference with Poland’s President Andrezj Duda was “fake news” because he took two questions from conservative news organizations in between questions from hyper-aggressive fake reporters from NBC and other leftist fake news outlets.

Speaking of President Duda and CNN, CNN and other fake media outlets breathlessly reported throughout the day that Mr. Duda’s wife refused to shake hands with President and Melania Trump when they met yesterday.

Some fake outlets continued to purvey that false report even after films of the first couples shaking hands were broadly disseminated late in the day. Mr. Duda got so fed up with it that he issued a tweet saying "Contrary to some surprising reports my wife did shake hands with Mrs. and Mr. Trump @POTUS after a great visit. Let’s FIGHT FAKE NEWS.”

After which Jim Acosta no doubt needed a change in underwear.

He went to Poland first because they could bus in crowds to make his speech seem well received.

You really, really, REALLY need to get out of your left-wing news bubble, 21.

No, Poland did not "bus in" attendees, like the Democrats bus in protesters. All that happened, according to the Corrupt Nobodies News, was that Polish politicians provided free buses to those who wanted to attend:

Law and Justice politicians from all over Poland informed their supporters over social media in the weeks leading up to Trump's visit that free buses would be provided to anyone who wanted to attend Trump's speech Thursday to the Polish people in Warsaw.

I thought you liberals loved public transportation. Now you hate it?

Compare that to the Democrat tactic of paying people to show up, and then getting bussed to a protest. You think that is a "spontaneous" civil protest.

But advising that free bussing will be given to those who spend their own time to attend? AGHAST!!

Yeah, and I wonder how many protesters would show up on their own time if it was on their own dime and not paid for by Soros. Maybe enough of them to fill a Prius.

Lefties enjoy spending other people's money. Not just because they don't have it either. Even DeBlasio didn't spend his own money to go over to the G20 protests.

**** Merkel, move all our troops out of Germany to Poland.

Poland to buy US Patriot system with Israeli-made missiles

A deal Poland is expected to sign with the United States to buy the Patriot missile system includes interceptor missiles from Israel's David Sling system.

The deal with US firm Raytheon, worth up to $7.6 billion, will see Poland buy eight Patriot missile defense systems by the end of the year.

Poland's Defense Minister Antoni Macierewicz announced the deal on Thursday morning, during US President Donald Trump's visit to Warsaw.

Trump’s Stunner in Poland: An America and Europe First Speech for the Ages

The President’s speech was not an America first speech, but a Western civilization first speech, and an America and Europe first speech.

– “Poland is the geographic heart of Europe, but more importantly, in the Polish people, we see the soul of Europe. Your nation is great because your spirit is great and your spirit is strong.”

– “I am here today not just to visit an old ally, but to hold it up as an example for others who seek freedom and who wish to summon the courage and the will to defend our civilization.”

– “Poland and the other captive nations of Europe endured a brutal campaign to demolish freedom, your faith, your laws, your history, your identity – indeed the very essence of your culture and your humanity.”

– “A million Polish people did not ask for wealth. They did not ask for privilege. Instead, one million Poles sang three simple words: ‘We Want God.’ ... Their message is as true today as ever. The people of Poland, the people of America, and the people of Europe still cry out, ‘We want God.’”

– “We reward brilliance. We strive for excellence, and cherish inspiring works of art that honor God. We treasure the rule of law and protect the right to free speech and free expression. ... And above all, we value the dignity of every human life, protect the rights of every person, and share the hope of every soul to live in freedom. That is who we are. Those are the priceless ties that bind us together as nations, as allies, and as a civilization.”

– “We have to remember that our defense is not just a commitment of money, it is a commitment of will. Because as the Polish experience reminds us, the defense of the West ultimately rests not only on means but also on the will of its people to prevail ... We can have the largest economies and the most lethal weapons anywhere on Earth, but if we do not have strong families and strong values, then we will be weak and we will not survive.”

– “Our own fight for the West does not begin on the battlefield – it begins with our minds, our wills, and our souls. Today, the ties that unite our civilization are no less vital, and demand no less defense, than that bare shred of land on which the hope of Poland once totally rested. Our freedom, our civilization, and our survival depend on these bonds of history, culture, and memory.”

I'm glad Trump had a good meeting in eastern europe. And I like the things he's said.

I am confused as to why Ivanka was there. Does she have an official title or a security clearance?

As much as you guys get behind some of these articles, this is not journalism, it's commentary slanted strongly toward propaganda: "CNN’s bed-wetting fake White House reporter, the petulant Jim Acosta"
