It appears that the fo or Haley want Ben to stay in the pocket more than anytime I can remember in his career. The problem with this is that our offensive line isn't a great one. They are constantly getting pushed back into the pocket. Thus you have Ben trying to throw from a crowded pocket where he can't drive on the throw and he can't see the middle of the field(teams don't even bother covering Miller anymore). What I'd like to see more is the old Ben, rolling out throwing strikes!!!

His accuracy was more of the problem the last game.

But yeah roll him out whatever............

That makes too much sense....Ben is only one of the best QB's in league history when he gets out of the pocket....why do that? Seriously, I have been asking for them to do this for years and years.

Ben often gets blasted when he moves out of the pocket because the blockers do not know where he is and are protecting an empty patch of grass instead of Ben. Ben is not as fast as he used to be either. Rolling our blocking scheme is likely to be real tough for the talent we have. We have not had good tackles for a while.

What needs to happen is "SCREEN PASS" , but SHhhhhhhh, somebody might hear yaz.............

Salute the nation

throw a few screens to archer

One of our most innobile QBs, Neil O'Donnell, was great at planned rollouts yet we never roll out Ben, strange to say the least.

If we ran Elway's (Shanahan's) offense from the late 90s with our receivers and Bell, Ben would flourish. He's made for that offense. Not utilizing it is a great disservice to his skill set.

No. Some designed rollouts are ok, but you are thinking of playground ****. Not sustainable in the NFL. When he threw for six TDs those two games, how many designed rollouts were there?
