It would be a nice change. Your thoughts?

Yep, but there defense ... and possibly ours ...may keep it closer than we'd like.

**** ya.

We take out Hoyer early an then crush Johnny football's teeth into the ground for the rest of the game. Make him wet his pants.

That would be my ideal game..

31-10

If we have a defense, eh

Steelers

Spike has anger issues! Crush a kids teeth really?

Jack Lambert would spit in your face for even asking that question.

Doesn't that make your feel the least bit ashamed?

No. Confluence of three things - Home opener, Noll tribute, and playing a ****** team. No way does Tomlin have this team ready. We lose. Tomlin will depend on the importance of the game to carry the day instead of NFL preparation.

If the Steelers lose to the Browns it's going to be a very long season. Have to get it done at home.

Doesn't lambert own a dentist franchise? Forgot to mention you want a kid to wet his pants.

This board is sputtering like Coolies Vespa on the cloverleaf buttes of Mexican mesas

I think it will be a close game and Johny douchebag has a good day for a rookie. The steelers will get hit with a few questionable calls, Tomlin will be sporting his WTF look by the middle of the second quarter. The defense will not be in game form and will give up a few splash plays that ultimately cost us the game. The offense will do everything but score. We will likely have a big gain by archer that surprises everyone and the next play one of the dobbie brothers will fumble it and it will be recovered by the other team. I'll be with in 50 miles of the burgh so I should be able to watch the game on TV and hear for a change the local announcers. I just hope it will be better than I expected. Thursday I will be in the area of Roanoke finishing up my vacation and will get to hear the gavens and steelers play. I don't think the leaking boat will be fixed by then, Tomlin will be drilling more holes to let the water out.

Spike your NOT Jack Lambert. If you think that ending a kids dream by "crushing his teeth" is what he would want your clueless.
He was about beating the best of the best not pummeling some young rookie kid so he never plays the game again.

We'll win, but not as handily as many here think. After game 1, I don't know, but it's not gonna be easy

I don't see our D holding anyone to less than 17 points. We will need to score near 30 or more in every game to have a chance to win. Haley and Tomlin cannot come out and try to establish the run by going run, run, pass punt. That will never work this year or with this team. Come out with the plan to score a TD on the opening drive, period.

Hopefully, the D can turn into something, at least, respectable this season. Hell, I'd put McCullers in there just to take up two blockers and the space.

Don't know why, but this was humourous to me. In past years I would say "hell yeah, we'll win." But this 8-8 team does not inspire confidence in me. A sad state of affairs, for sure. Oh, and I have no idea if we'll win.

I beg to differ ... Jack would pummel anyone "On The Field" ... He was actually salivating at the thought of welcoming Elway to the league and had the rookie scared shitless before, during and probably after the game.

Because of jack scaring him so bad, Elway still hasn't **** to this day.

This home opener, will be the first test, to let us know what we can expect. Win or lose, i'll be rooting for them. I see a win, jacked up as it is.

Salute the nation

Steelers kick a fg as time expires to win a riveting battle, 3-0

If we lose the opener to the lowly Stains, I may resort to drastic measures and I really can't afford to replace my TV right now. I'll have to ask my wife to limit any possible projectiles to soft fuzzy stuff.

GO STILLERS

At this point my expectations are so low I don't even yell at the TV anymore. Maybe it's just age...

After watching Johnny Douche-nozzle run around like a chicken with his head cut off LeBeau better have an answer for Johnny doucheballs YPC! The big question is how many penalty yards will the Steeler Defense accumulate trying to be aggressive? After watching some of the pre-season games, why wear pads? The players could easily be wearing gym shorts, T-shirts and playing flag football.
As far as the Steeler season goes, there were 22,000 no shows at Heinz Field. What more can you say?
