Steelers offense

That’s what he said on my TV…had to rewind cuz I couldn’t believe my ears
Seemed like he was talking about his guy Matt and not the Browns

Either way the obvious is obvious…obviously

Sometimes the obvious jumps up and takes a bit out of your samich————— ****-Mathew

I fully agree. We have a tradition of great centers with long careers. I’ve been advocating the use of a high draft choice since the year Pouncey started snapping it over Ben’s head consistently . We’ve passed on so many since then. I think we’ve made a mistake not going for top rated centers, and underestimate their importance. I guess there’s always next year.

You totally forgot Kendrick Green on that list…..

Browns were putting 10 in the box at times. Tough to run against that especially against one of the better run defenses to boot.
With Pickens with singled. One game changing TD from a highschool play, then no more.

Even if they fired Canada, I don’t see where the offense improves. They’ll promote Sullivan who will really have no choice but to run the same offense. Maybe the situational play calls improve, and that may help, but all in all there’s just too many jacked up parts to fix in season or over a bye week.

Entire schemes have to be implemented during the offseason and training camp, but a new approach to the current one mid season might not be a terrible idea.

There are examples of new play callers taking over mid season and turning offenses around.

Who knows? Just getting Canada the hell away from Kenny could do wonders for his development.

It's not like the Ben or Trubisky fared any better under Canada.

Unless a competent OC is brought in from outside the organization and given free will, NO Tomlin interference, there will be little change from inner promotion mid-season.

Agreed….Unless the offensive play calling doesn’t change with a new fresh look .. it doesn’t really provide immediate value with a large change such as terminating a staff member.
The downside is if you don’t make the change … it makes it difficult to access blame and accountability..
Meaning change coordinator and the offense still is bad … is it now a QB issue?

I can’t imagine why Pickett has happy feet and his mechanics are breaking down leading to inaccurate passes

**** is so bad,it's as if it is designed to fail. They watch the film every week. Hell they have years of film of defenses each week stacking the line. Yet they keep doing the same stuff. They define insanity.

I saw one play where Seumalo didn't pick up a man he was looking to his right, and on his left the defender came rushing in on Kenny. He is supposedly known for being able to read things well on that play he well didn't. If these O-line players are confused they better get them unconfused quickly before they get Kenny killed.

To be fair, there are fans here that would build a power run offense despite all the data that says it isn’t effective in this NFL because it’s the style that they like… ones that want a straight 3-4 d others that prefer the 4-3… the problem is that in a NFL environment, the head coach basically just does what they are comfortable with, rather than an objective breakdown of what does and doesn’t work in the nfl and how it fits your personnel…..

Its always square peg, round hole stuff… tomlin’s D comes from wanting 4-3 playstyles from a 3-4 formation and his O is based on safe, slow, methodical movement like New England used to do… only that playstyle is already out due to the flood D…

It would be nice if they could keep teams guessing. You know have some versatility. God forbid using a FB and TE in certain situations now and then. A screen pass? Just nothing at all creative. Instead I get people running into a wall, getting up and doing it again over and over and over again.

The offense the last 3-4 years looks like something my 6 year old would come up with....I take that back, he would be bombs away downfield 30-50 yards on every play. Even that would probably be more productive than this crap.

Remember that last year we led the league in plays per drive, but sucked at scoring… the O is designed to be a time eater and that is it…

This year the opponents are keeping 10 guys close to the line, but only rushing 4 and yet getting tons of pressure and stopping the run… there aren’t wuick outlets open and our first read is NEVER down the field

I mean, what is this blocking scheme?

OMG! Just watch Isaac Seumalo in that clip. He looks like kids I'd stuff on the O-Line when I coached youth football...happy prancing with hands out hoping they didn't make contact with anything.

It can't get any worse!

True, true. But his early season accuracy issues do not help. He’s missing a ton of the short easy passes leaving him 3rd and long.
Root problem is coaching. Get him into a rhythm early in a game and his accuracy will improve. Canada is just designing stuff for him that’s diminishing any confidence in him.

Just from an eye ball perspective he looks antsy. He’s not in a rhythm from the get go. Once he’s antsy even the most easiest short passes are going to be missed

I'm sorry Mike Webster was far superior to Dirt Dawson....I think Dawson would agree with that!
