Was it ST that said that candidates for public office should be required to have some business experience in order to run? Too many in politics have done nothing in their entire life but suck off the government teat, so President Potato Head saying just pay them more isn't surprising, being clueless that he is.
Former Democrat Senator and 1972 Presidential candidate George McGovern opened a bed & breakfast after he retired from politics and said if he knew then what he knew now from running a business, he would have voted much differently when he was in Congress. His B&B went bankrupt btw.
