In case some of yinz are wondering, that was from the movie Amadeus. Words uttered from composer/ Kings "Musical Advisor" by the name of Salieri. Two lines from Amadeus come to mind "I will speak for you, Father. I speak for all mediocrities in the world. I am their champion. I am their patron saint."
"Mediocrities everywhere... I absolve you... I absolve you... I absolve you... I absolve you... I absolve you all". That should be the Steeler slogan "Commitment to mediocrity". Another 9-8 or 10-7 season on the way.
A man of faith in the beginning of the movie who later denounced God, believing that God instilled him the yearning from childhood to be a great composer, except God forgot to give him the talent..
Instead, God gave the talent to this foul mouthed, obnoxious, and silly goofball by the name of Mozart, who Salieri came to despise.
Salieri ends up in a mental institution where he utters those words to all the mental patients he is surrounded by.
A great movie.
