Trump - Make America Great Again!

Just saw Trump on Fox @ 0930 today.....he's pretty pissed, doesn't seem he'll lay down. Wants McCain to apologize for his mistreatment of vets and for being an "all talk, no action" politician ( nailed that) who referred to the thousands of Arizonans who attended Trump's immigration rally as "crazies."

McCain's reference to those who oppose illegal immigration as "crazies" hasn't seen the light of day, let alone become a headline bone of contention.

I'm not bailing on Trump just yet.

That's why you can't trust anything the media says. I tried telling people last night that there is more than what is being reported (I mentioned the crazies thing), and it was a blanket "You don't slander a POW. Period."

"I doubt I could cross the line and vote Republican. I have tremendous respect for McCain but I don’t buy the war hero thing. Anybody can be captured. I thought the idea was to capture them. As far as I’m concerned he sat out the war."- Al Franken 2000

Good think Franken's not running for president... ps - equally ****** up statement by him, as was Trump's.

Yes, the perfect defense..."But Al Franken did it!" So he's just as much of an idiot as Al Franken is. Oh, ok. Sign me up!

So I heard the actual audio of what Trump said. Talk about the media blowing something WAY out of proportion (shock).

He said "He (McCain)isn't... He is a hero. He is a war hero. He was captured. He's a war hero. I like people that weren't captured."

That last sentence is a jab at McCain himself and his political record, NOT at McCain's POW status. When the story first broke, I thought what he said crossed the line. Now that I have heard it for myself and know it was an answer to a question about McCain and his political record, there's not much to be upset over.

Yes. My batshit ex reared her ugly ******* head over the weekend and I'm a little pissy.

Ahh. I'm sorry. That would make anyone pissy.

Sorry to hear that, man. How long until your kids are 18 and you don't have to deal with her?

I guess I shouldn't *****. I have it pretty good. I really don't need to deal with her at all. She hasn't had any visitation in over 4 years. She doesn't even call the girls on birthdays and holidays. I was hoping that she had died, but she's still kicking. And very angry.

Trump Calls Out Obama for Refusing to Condemn 'Islamic Terrorism' in Chattanooga Shooting

GOP Presidential candidate Donald Trump called out President Barack Obama for his refusal to say "Islamic terrorism" in reference to the shooting Thursday in Chattanooga. Trump suggested that given the security concerns that America is facing, the time for political correctness is over.

"It's going to get worse in our country and we better start fighting a lot tougher than we're fighting right now," Trump told Fox News host Bill O'Reilly in an interview. "If we're going to fight elements that are causing tremendous problems ... at least we have to start maybe being not so politically correct."

Only in America can illegals get government, aid, but its veterans who fought for their nation cannot. Perhaps this is Trump's next talking point?

Trump has some Reaganesque qualities to him on defense, space, foreign policy, and the economy. And like Reagan he’s pretty good on television. I just wish someone would proof read his speeches and have a person clearing what he says on twitter before he posts it.

Trump won't be viewed as serious until he hits 50% of greater in the polls. I think its either Trump or Bush. Paul, Rubio ( Great VP Pick ), and Cruz are fading. I have doubts on how long Scott Walker will poll high. We shall see.

Trump: I don't need to be lectured

McCain has abandoned our veterans. I will fight for them.

During my entire business career, I have always made supporting veterans a top priority because our heroes deserve the very best for defending our freedom. Our Department of Veterans Affairs hospitals are outdated dumps. I will build the finest and most modern veterans hospitals in the world. The current medical assistance to our veterans is a disaster. A Trump administration will provide the finest universal access health care for our veterans. They will be able to get the best care anytime and anywhere.

Thanks to McCain and his Senate colleague Bernie Sanders, their legislation to cover up the VA scandal, in which 1,000+ veterans died waiting for medical care, made sure no one has been punished, charged, jailed, fined or held responsible. McCain has abandoned our veterans. I will fight for them.

The reality is that John McCain the politician has made America less safe, sent our brave soldiers into wrong-headed foreign adventures, covered up for President Obama with the VA scandal and has spent most of his time in the Senate pushing amnesty. He would rather protect the Iraqi border than Arizona’s. He even voted for the Iran Nuclear Review Act of 2015, which allows Obama, who McCain lost to in a record defeat, to push his dangerous Iran nuclear agreement through the Senate without a supermajority of votes.

A number of my competitors for the Republican nomination have no business running for president. I do not need to be lectured by any of them. Many are failed politicians or people who would be unable to succeed in the private sector. Some, however, I have great respect for.

My record of veteran support is well-documented. I served as co-chairman of the New York Vietnam Veterans Memorial Commission and was responsible, with a small group, for getting it built. Toward this end, I contributed over $1 million so our warriors can be honored in New York City with a proper memorial. I also helped finance and served as the grand marshal of the 1995 Nation’s Day Parade, which honored over 25,000 veterans. It was one of the biggest parades in the history of New York City, and I was very proud to have made it possible.

I will continue to fight to secure our border and take care of our veterans because these steps are vital to make America great again!

USA Today Poll - 71% strongly agree with him

Trump is dead right on McCain. He's a war hero because he was a POW (I get that) and not for anything he did as a pilot.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch...

Bernie Sanders Continues to Draw the Biggest Crowds of Any 2016 Candidate
http://www.bloomberg.com/politics/a...draw-the-biggest-crowds-of-any-2016-candidate

Audiences have been flocking to see the progressive Vermont senator speak.

Size matters.

Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders is still drawing some of largest crowds on the campaign trail, as evidenced by the 11,000 people who turned up to hear the Vermont senator and self-described independent socialist speak at the Phoenix Convention Center on Saturday, according to reports. He had appeared there earlier that day as part of the progressive Netroots Nation convention. The turnout broke Sanders's previous record, some 10,000 at an rally in Madison earlier this month, which was heralded as the largest crowd any 2016 candidate had attracted yet.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump spoke at the very same venue on Saturday, and drew roughly half as many attendees as Sanders did.

Trump is dead right on McCain. He's a war hero because he was a POW (I get that) and not for anything he did as a pilot.

But he didn't stop there, he added "I like people who weren't captured." That implies that he disagrees that someone should be considered a war hero simply for being captured.

It's a slam on McCain. He doesn't like McCain. Not worded the best, but I get what he meant (now that I have heard the entire exchange).

Yeah, he took a shot that he shouldn't have.

This is what drives me crazy. People doing somersaults to defend what he said just because he has an R next to his name. Dent get me wrong, democrats do it too. But just imagine for a moment it was a draft dodging democrat that made these comments. Chris Wallace reported the other day that *** clown Trump had 5 deferments during the Vietnam War. 4 for being a student... so daddy's money kept his *** safe and sound while working class families had no choice but to send their sons to Vietnam. One deferment was because he had a bone spur. Gimme a break. Fast forward to a few days ago where a guy with this on his record has the gall to say a fighter pilot shot down in a war ... a war that he was too big of a ***** to fight in himself and had to have his rich daddy keep him out of... isn't a hero in his opinion. If a democrat with the same background had done this you all would be losing your ******* minds. He's just another chickenhawk republican, which there seems to be an endless parade of, that has no qualms with sending our young men off to fight but was a no show when it was his turn.

John Kerry anyone?

Whether one likes Trump or likes McCain is really beside the point here. If a Democrat said this, NO ONE on our side would be defending him. Let's not lose all objectivity here.
