Trump - Make America Great Again!

He's second in the polls behind Jeb. That puzzles me. I get Trump's numbers going up, but what in the hell has Jeb done to be #1?

Name recognition, nothing more.

Trump defends inflammatory comments, asks 'Who is doing the raping?'

"Well if you look at the statistics of people coming, you look at the statistics on rape, on crime, on everything coming in illegally into this country it's mind-boggling!" he told Lemon, in a clip previewed on CNN's "Situation Room."

"If you go to Fusion, you will see a story: About 80% of the women coming in, you know who owns Fusion? Univision! Go to Fusion and pick up the stories on rape. It's unbelievable when you look at what's going on. So all I'm doing is telling the truth," Trump said.

Lemon replied that the press stories are about women being raped, but not about criminals coming across the border.

"Well, somebody's doing the raping, Don! I mean somebody's doing it! Who's doing the raping? Who's doing the raping?" he asked.

Trump sits at No. 2 among GOP presidential candidates in the latest CNN/ORC national poll. He told Lemon he is surprised only that he's trailing Jeb Bush, not that he's doing so well.

"I don't get it. He's in favor of Common Core, extremely weak on immigration. He thinks people come over for love. I don't understand why he's in first place," Trump said. "Maybe it's the Bush name. Last thing we need is another Bush. But I will tell you, I'm a little surprised he's in the position he's in."

Can you imagine how much heat he'd be catching if he suggested inner city blacks were doing the rapes and murders!?!?

If there is a positive, any debate that has Trump in it will get good ratings.

And as sad as that statement is, at least MORE people will watch and hopefully learn a bit more about the Republican candidates and what they stand for. Maybe someone (besides Trump) hits home on his message and gets valuable screen time early in the election process.

If a republican can get some momentum in March/April next year, who knows... that might make a difference in November.

Hillary is awfully boring and is almost assured to win the nomination. Doubt she gets much screen time early next year.

Part of the reason I think Obama won was he became a household name and struck a cord DURING his fight with Clinton. All the news was on the Democratic race while boring old McCain pretty much had the nomination wrapped up.

I'll take the anorexic babe with the six-pack abs front and center.

Ricky Martin has pulled his golf tournament from one of Trump's courses. How will the Donald ever recover from that's?

Donald Trump: 'I Will Win the Latino Vote'

"I have a great relationship with the Mexican people. I have many people working for me - look at the job in Washington - I have many legal immigrants working with me. And many of them come from Mexico. They love me, I love them," the 2016 GOP contender said in an interview with NBC News. "And I'll tell you something, if I get the nomination, I'll win the Latino vote."

"Hillary's weak on immigration," he said. "I might be divisive on immigration, but she's weak on immigration, which is far worse."

"If you listen to Hillary, she is so weak on immigration, we will have a crime rate like you've never seen," he added.

Trump also labeled Clinton "the worst secretary of state in the history of our nation."

"The world blew up around us," he said of her tenure at the helm of the State Department.

Trump to NBC Reporter: "You Wouldn’t Be Talking About Immigration If I Didn’t Mention It!"

so true

But typical of the liberal talking heads, after airing the interview, they then proceeded to pound on Trump.

From the Washington Post:

Interviews with about 15 laborers helping renovate the Old Post Office Pavilion revealed that many of them had crossed the U.S-Mexico border illegally before they eventually settled in the Washington region to build new lives.

Several of the men, who hail mostly from El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala, have earned U.S. citizenship or legal status through immigration programs targeting Central Americans fleeing civil wars or natural disasters. Others quietly acknowledged that they remain in the country illegally.

And if anything, the Post just help Trump prove that the Federal Government isn’t doing enough to prevent illegal immigrants from using phony documents to get jobs in the U.S.

Here’s what Trump’s people told the Post, which quite rightly places the blame for the hiring of the illegal immigrants on the subcontractors, not Trump:

In response to questions from The Washington Post, Hope Hicks, a spokeswoman for the Trump Organization, issued a statement saying that the company and its contractors followed all applicable U.S. immigration laws when hiring the site’s several hundred workers.

“Our contractors are required to have prospective employees produce documentation that establishes identity and employment eligibility in compliance with immigration law,” the *e-mailed statement said.

Lend Lease, the lead contractor at the site, “requires all contractors performing work at the project to follow all applicable federal, state and local laws,” the statement said.

Michael D. Cohen, executive vice president and legal counsel to Trump, said the question of illegal hiring practices had not arisen before at a Trump work site.

“Mr. Trump, who is the 100 percent owner of the Old Post Office, hired one of the largest contractors in the world to act as the general contractor,” Cohen said in a telephone interview. “That company is Lend Lease. They then go out and employ subcontractors to work for them. The obligation to check all workers on site is exclusive to Lend Lease. This of course assumes that the assertion regarding the employees’ status is accurate.”

A spokeswoman for Lend Lease declined to comment on any aspects of the project, which is expected to be finished by early 2016.

There are a lot of reasons to bash Donald Trump, as liberal or conservatives, but this isn’t it.

Trump leads GOP presidential field in new national poll

Media coverage of Donald Trump's controverisal immigration remarks have lifted the GOP presidential candidate to the top of the Republican field, according to a new Economist/YouGov poll.

Trump was the preferred GOP nominee for president for 15 percent of respondents — 4 points ahead of former Gov. Jeb Bush (Fla.) and Sen. Rand Paul (Ky.), who were tied for second place.

Gov. Scott Walker (Wis.), Sen. Marco Rubio (Fla.) and former Gov. Mike Huckabee (Ark.) shared the third spot with 9 percent each.

In addition to being the first choice for the majority of likely voters who participated in the poll, Trump was also the primary second choice for those who preferred another candidate as their nominee.

Yeah it would. I'd also like to see a Trump-Sanders debate. Capitalism vs. Socialism.

Donald Trump Talks: Gun Control, Assault Weapons, Gun Free Zones & Self Defense

“I am a Life Member of the NRA and am proud of their service in protecting our right to keep and bear arms. The NRA’s efforts to stop dangerous, gun-banning legislation and regulation is invaluable. The media focus on those efforts overshadows the great work the NRA does on behalf of safety and conservation. I have a permit to carry and, living in New York, I know firsthand the challenges law-abiding citizens have in exercising their Second Amendment rights".

“I certainly stand by my opposition to Gun Control when it comes to taking guns from law-abiding citizens. You mention that the media describes the AR-15 as an “assault rifle,” which is one example of the many distortions they use to sell their agenda. However, the AR-15 does not fall under this category. Gun-banners are unfortunately preoccupied with the AR-15, magazine capacity, grips, and other aesthetics, precisely because of its popularity.”

“To the Left every gun is an assault weapon.”

“Gun control does not reduce crime. It has consistently failed to stop violence. Americans are entitled to protect their families, their property and themselves. In fact, in right-to-carry states the violent crime rate is 24% lower than the rest of the United States and the murder rate is 28% lower. This should not be up for debate.”

You gotta love Trump for taking on the press, he's not afraid of them, tells them they’re idiots. Freaking hilarious.

UNSTOPPABLE TRUMP: The Donald is rocketing upward in the polls and dominating the 2016 race

The Trump campaign is a phenomenon rarely seen in presidential politics, boosted by his celebrity status, scorched-earth approach to his party rivals, and unfiltered self-promotion. Cable news channels have dedicated a seemingly endless amount of segments to Trump's comments. News websites have relentlessly covered every Trump tweet, outburst, and interview. Almost every single presidential candidate — Republican and Democrat — has either been willing or forced to respond to his statements

In a Economist/YouGov poll released Thursday, Trump holds 15% of the Republican vote nationally — ahead of former Gov. Jeb Bush of Florida (11%). But the good news for Trump didn't stop there.

A new Public Policy Polling survey of North Carolina published Wednesday also placed Trump ahead of the GOP pack among GOP voters in the Tar Heel state. In that poll, Trump led Bush 16% to 12%.

For his part, Trump appears to love all the attention and has agreed to interview after interview to further blast undocumented immigrants — even with reporters who he likely knew would challenge him. One particularly combative interview came Wednesday, when he sat down with NBC News, whose parent company he fiercely berated over the Miss USA spat.

After NBC's Katy Tur questioned Trump's argument linking violent crime to illegal immigration, he told her she should be better informed.

"Don't be naive. You're a very naive person," he said.

When Tur stumbled while referencing some statistics to bolster her point, Trump mocked her inability to get the question out.

"Try getting it out. Try getting it out. I mean, I don't know if you're going to put this on television. But you don't even know what you're talking about. Try getting it out, go ahead," he said.
