Vegas

The president just led the White House staff in a moment of silence on the White House lawn. Can't wait to see the complaints about how he did that wrong.

I saw clear muzzle flashes from around the 9th floor with sound to match. So what's the deal here? This **** doesn't add up at all. From what I see you have without a doubt multiple shooters. I don't know what the **** tv is talking about.

Conspiracy Wig has some questions.

1) Were the guns registered to him? (If not, Hillary et al are completely wrong about bitching at the NRA, aren't they?)

2) How long between the end of the gunfire and the time the police or some other authority broke into the hotel room to find the dead suspect?

3) What's on the hotel surveillance footage in the hallway? Did anyone else go into or out of the hotel room?

4) What's his motive and why were the police so quick to determine his "girlfriend" was likely not involved?

5) How long in advance did he make reservations for the room, did he request that particular room, how many days was he there?

You see, whenever a shooter like this conveniently kills himself or herself before any questions can be asked, it leads folks like me to wonder just why the heck he did that? It doesn't make a great deal of sense. And if you're truly determined to go out shooting, booby trap the door so it explodes upon opening so you can shoot right up until the police break in and take a couple of them out with you. It makes no sense to kill yourself before they police break in and/or you're out of ammo.

500+ injured, 50+ dead, one shooter, from a distance of over 500 yards...sounds totally legit.

he didnt shoot black people. thus, this is another aspect of white supremacy. yes?

I understood a number of the injuries were from "trampling".

How did he manage to carry around that much ammunition? Had to have either room service or some other help.

Explain what exactly makes sense to you about any of it. I would assume that the coward didn't want to look family members or whoever he respects or cares about in the face after he murdered all these innocent people. Being bat **** crazy really doesn't lend itself to sane judgement.

To compound Wigs theory this guy has no political or religious affiliation... it seems weird he flipped like this... 64 is old for psychopathic tendencies to emerge isnt it? Some of this does fit formats to certain conspiracy theory prototypes...especially if you want a pure gun control issue without alternate agenda ties to consolidate a group

They say that it took the police 72 minutes to find the guy. I'm not knocking them, but that seems like a long time. You would think they got phone calls from other Mandalay guests who were on or around the 32nd floor and heard the shots.

Obviously hindsight, but in this day and age with a large outdoor gathering with 100's of windows looking down, maybe there should be swat security with spotters and sharpshooters. This is the new world we live in.

It doesn't matter, the number dead and injured doesn't change. I don't remember the names of the San Bernandino or Orlando shooters and I suppose I'll have trouble recalling this guys name some day as well.

It matters a whole lot to the Leftys. Identity politics is everything.

In the aftermath of the deadliest mass-shooting in American history, stories of American heroism are taking center stage. Yet some are showing their true colors in other ways, jumping on the victims of the shooting and adding insult to injury even before the investigators have wrapped up processing the crime scene.

Fox is reporting that a lawyer from CBS is facing scrutiny for comments she made following the shooting in Las Vegas. Hayley Geftman-Gold wrote on Facebook that she was “not even sympathetic” to the victims because “country music fans often are Republican.”

Geftman-Gold is CBS’s vice president and senior counsel. Her comments in the wake of the shooting that killed at least 58 and wounded more than 500 others at the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival in Las Vegas have angered many.

“If they wouldn’t do anything when children were murdered I have no hope that Repugs [sic] will ever do the right thing,” Geftman-Gold wrote. Those responses have since been deleted, but not before The Daily Caller captured the images.

While that would be great and sad that this is what the world is coming to the amount of man power that would require would be very high especially somewhere like the Vegas strip.
This whole thing does not make sense. An old white guy shooting up a bunch of mostly white people at a country concert. It does not fit any of the stereotypes. I guess the guy liked to gamble but you would have thought he would have taken out a casino and not a concert if he was in debt. He apparently had a GF, he was wealthy, went to the casinos, and went to the shows. Does not seem like the loner psycho type. He was supposedly not religious or political so does not fit the terrorist / loony extremist type. He wasn't targeting blacks or cops so who knows what made him flip out.

Since I assume you are referring to banning guns, I still don't think it stops this kind of thing. **** will still be available on the black market to anyone that wants it bad enough. Sure, average Joe probably can't commit this kind of attack, but Average Joe is unlikely to do it in the first place.

So far it sounds to me like "average Joe" just did...........

will you want to ban Dodge Challengers, too? As Buster stated, you can't cover all the bases. Furthermore, this sicko wasn't a Conservative, he was like YOU! Go figure. ASSume much!

He couldn't be like me because I would never hurt anyone other than in self defense. The point I was making was not about banning guns( as I've stated many times here I'm a gun owner and pro 2nd) It's about modifying access to people with mental issues. I know this guy is probably not that case(with the info we have at this point), but it would filter a bunch of incidents out.

That's just one idea.

While i agree that mental health issues are horrid in this country and compounded by stress and propaganda, you cannot remove rights for subjective issues like mental health... pre-crime punishment isn't allowed... its as bad as assuming that every person who fits a stereotype is a criminal... the out of left foeld nutso actions will never ever be preventable... trying to leads down a slippery slope

Very interesting. An employer fired one of their employees for something that was said (typed).

I was told last week when Trump suggested that owners fire player who disrespect the flag that it was a free speech issue and owners couldn't possibly do that and Trump should shut his damn mouth.

As I was saying to the wife over dinner, background checks can't be totally effective because someone can be fine, pass and get a gun, and develop mental problems 20 years later.
Of course the Liberal answer would be to ban all guns for everyone but we see how that works out in Chicago and D.C.

CBS fires VP who said Vegas victims didn't deserve sympathy

CBS fires vice president who said Vegas victims didn't deserve sympathy because country music fans 'often are Republican'

CBS has parted ways with one of the company’s top lawyers after she said she is “not even sympathetic” to victims of the Las Vegas shooting because “country music fans often are Republican,” when discussing the tragic mass shooting that occurred in Las Vegas late Sunday night. \

“If they wouldn’t do anything when children were murdered I have no hope that Repugs [sic] will ever do the right thing,” Geftman-Gold wrote in a now-deleted message that was first reported and captured by The Daily Caller.

Geftman-Gold continued: “I’m actually not even sympathetic bc [sic] country music fans often are Republican gun toters [sic].”
