I couldn't give less of a ****. But it is funny that you REFUSE to answer to either of the points I brought up. Funny, and telling.

Lol, I thought that was a rhetorical question, I am deeply sorry. To answer your probing and "telling" question, no it's not the end of the world to change head coaches. Do you feel satisfied now? I think it would have some effect but not enough to make the Steelers markedly better or worse. Now changing the entire staff, sure that would have a much greater effect. Making over the roster and building up weak areas would have a much greater effect. Changing Head coaches is a band aid. As I said the Browns and Raiders do it constantly without getting better players. Works great for them and their last 10 regimes huh? Players make up for inferior coaching. Coaching doesn't make up for inferior players.

It's no wonder you are always bitching about this board sucking, not being as good as it once was. That's because everyone has caught on to the fact that you love to ***** more than anything else in the world and it really doesn't matter what it's about. Because if it wasn't the entire board then it would have to be you that was misguided and that is not acceptable.

What coach won 2 super bowls? answer neither of the recent 2. Both have played in two. Many people will say the Steelers played well in that 1st loss to the cowboys and should have won the game. Coaching, in game adjustments etc were not called out for the loss. Biggest issue zebras not calling a pick play, another letting emmitt smiph crawl into the end zone after he was down, and the thoughts that Neil O,Dummel was paid to throw the game. Cowher called and succeeded with an onside kick and generally did a good job from a coaching standpoint. There are always posters advocating a course of action with nothing to back it up or very little to back it up.

A case in point for the present discussion, what does MT do well as a coach, a question asked by a long time poster. I am unable to recall anyone attributing any specific thing that we as fans see him demonstrate as being the mark of a good coach. The only thing that gets bandied about is his record which has been shown to not be solely attributable to his coaching, although he may have some impact on it it is a team effort. After that we get Haters gona hate and you are a racist. None of that seems to answer the basic question.

To say you are going to wait for the next championship and you are satisfied with what has happened completely disregards the topic of discussion.

If we would have fired Cowher we may not have won either SB was my point. I didn't mean either one won 2 SB's.

Cool shades was just asked in an interview what he's going to do about playing down to teams with bad records. .. all he could produce was that dumb look on his face and the ignorant reply of "nothing". The guy is a ******* idiot and needs to go.

That is a relevant question, indeed. Seems there are some Steelers fans in need of a little help... they are living in the past, are a bit confused which decade this is, that Noll and Cowher are no longer around, that the team is fighting for the division title, have one of the hottest offenses in the league right now, et al... but no, the sky is falling, the sky is always falling...

Why is this so hard to understand guys? It's because he didn't go for two points in the fourth quarter in a game three years ago...DUH!

Had he come up with some mind bending solution you would have bitched about his cliché's and bullshit talk too. You're where you are on Tomlin regardless of how the team does, we get it already. I don't actually mind the coach cool shades thing, I called Cowher Coach Spittle myself, even when we were winning....

He doesn't watch the games - and has said as much - so his arguments are parroted from reading other posts and regurgitated with over-the-top sensationalism and dramatics. It's why I have his sour *** on ignore.

You are right. It is a no win for tomlin a question like that.

I live close enough to Philly to get WIP. Whenever and Reid was asked a similar question, he always resorted to, "We have to do a better job." They made a song parody of it called, you guessed it, 'Better Job." It was funny as hell, especially not being an Eagle fan. But by that time, anything Reid said they just jumped all over, it was never good enough, which is why i think he resorted to the better job line.

And you can't listen to what coaches or players say in interviews, anyway.

I watch roughly 75% of the games.

And no, you (pretend to) have me on ignore because you're a *****.

Get ****** and eat ****, you dont know me, you ******* ****

"Spoiled" is his canned response to any and all criticism. He doesn't like debating the football side of things, so he leans on "spoiled" then runs away from the discussion.

Not yet they don't, because we don't have the retrospect that you have for 05...yet.

And I didn't include Polamalu, or Taylor.....guys that have been large contributors until this season.

Then it's an impossible discussion. I mean, if we're going to invalidate all analysis because maybe, someday, Jarvis will be better than Porter/Harrison.. because maybe Current Troy will end up better than 2005 Troy.. because maybe our awful run D will suddenly become elite overnight.. then I don't see the point of this board. Or discussing football at all.

At least, I've made an impression. Of course, I knew it would be misunderstood. Maybe, I didn't explain myself well.

Often, "defending Tomlin at every turn" means offering a possible explanation that doesn't start with the premise that "Tomlin sucks" and looks to back it up.

As I said. Some people like to read something other than negativity. Some people don't want that and must argue and nitpick.

That's the thing, though. Some of you complain just about every time Tomlin is criticized, but you're completely silent when Tomlin is praised (even when it's ridiculous). Then you complain because people can't see your neutrality.

Of course not. Because all the HC does is give press conferences, right?

Maybe.. just maybe.. I'm suggesting we get better players too? Nah. Doesn't fit the narrative.

It's not the entire board; it's a handful of sopping ******* like yourself who can't stand criticism. So you lump everyone who criticizes anything into "You hate tha STEEELERRZZZZ!!"

I praise this team quite a bit - I rave about Bell, Brown, Shazier, Ben, and Tuitt (off the top of my head) with the best of them. The difference is that my praise is proportionate (fancy word for "fitting") to the amount of success they have, whereas your praise is universally glowing regardless of how they perform. Right now, they're pretty mediocre, so I praise the good and criticize the bad. And a lot of it - the defense, the play-calling, the head-scratching coaching decisions, the special teams, the inability to score in the red zone - has been bad for years. So, so sorry to offend your embarrassing homerism.

When your a fan for 40 years come back at me young one. Until then just keep on bitching. That is something today's youth is good at.

Get off my lawn!!

Analyzing isn't the same as bitching, and not all criticism is bitching. I'm overjoyed for you that you've got no interest in objectively supporting the team. Really, I am; I don't look down at anyone that chooses blissful ignorance in something as frivolous as NFL football. But when they then start complaining about anyone/everyone who analyzes and comes to a less-than-rosy conclusion - and tossing stupid personal attacks at them - I call them out. And you sound very stupid, I'm sorry to say.

Yall younger guys will never get it. Looks like Coach T had them ready to play.

We're stuck with his *** now.

The Steelers weren't going to make any changes anyway unless the team just **** the bed with a 3 or 4 win season. That's one of the privileges of only winning 8 games last year... you get the easiest schedule in the NFL this year. Outside of division games the Steelers have played the worst teams in the league. Next year that will change.

Revisionist history. Going into the season, no one could have predicted that Carolina, Atlanta and N.O. would suck so badly. Also had the Colts and what appeared to be (and could still be) an up and coming Chiefs team on the schedule.
