1) People know that Tomlin is a good leader, and a good manager.
LOL. A devastating "fact" there.
They know he develops talent.
Totally. Nearly every position is much weaker than it was when Tomlin took over. Both lines have fallen apart. The pass rush has disappeared. Farrior hasn't been replaced. The secondary is a nightmare. Special teams are a joke. Yeah, we've just STOCKPILED talent across the board.
How funny/sad is it that it took JAMES HARRISON - a Cowher holdover - to kickstart this team? As usual, the majority of our success over the last two weeks has come from Cowher holdovers.
James Harrison was a fringe player when Tomlin got his hands on him. He took off in 2007, Tomlin's first year. Look at the work he's done with recievers over the years. No one thought Mike Wallace would be what he became, and what's he done since he left?
Oh, OK. Harrison was only good because of Tomlin. Makes sense; Tomlin has drafted and developed lots of good pass rushers.
2) The disrespect to Tomlin is also disrespect to the Rooneys. They know coaches, which is why we've had 3 in 40 years.
So I should claim they're right about every decision? Rivera over Marino remains the right call, because they're the Rooneys?
3) Mike has yet to turn in a losing season. Cowher went 6-10 twice before winning the big game.
But he's missed the playoffs three times in seven years. To me, THAT'S a losing season. To me, 8-8 and watching the playoffs is the same as 0-16. Especially the ways in which we manage to miss the playoffs. Beating the Browns in Week 17 to hit 8-8 doesn't make me feel warm and fuzzy.
4) Mike is the youngest head coach to win a SB, and the youngest head coach with 2 appearances (both before he turned 40).
Of course. He deserves full credit for the team winning the Super Bowl. He's absolved from blame for embarrassing losses, but the wins PROVE he's an outstanding coach.
5) And before you start repeating the lie of our supposed inherited greatness, the Woodley/Harrison combo did not exist under Cowher, who wen't 8-8 (the same record that supposedly dooms Tomlin) with that same roster when he hung it up in 2006.
No, Porter was there. Tomlin started Harrison
because Porter left. In fact, Tomlin drafted Timmons
to replace Porter which of course failed immediately.
Bottom line: like Reign says, Tomlin is seen by the Traitors as a Rooney rule coach and they won't be happy until they have a coach who's sufficiently translucent in sunshine. And **** this team in the meantime. They don't want us to win, because if we do they'll have to acknowledge the bullshit of their views. So they root against our squad.
**** your racism bullshit. I loved Tomlin at the start. Hell, I love the guy now, I just see him as a semi-incompetent coach.
And now you're all being shown the error of your ways. The question is: will you learn anything in the process? I doubt it.
I couldn't care less what you of all people think is an error. We know what you consider good and bad.
