Just watched Wheaton's TD again, that was a awesome job on the route. The Bill's feed I was able to find never showed it from that angle like they have it on NFL.com.

That's your classic post corner route. In high school when the coach called that play my eyes would light up being a WR. That's a tough one to defend against if it's run right. I think in NFL lingo they call it a SLUGGO (Slant and Go) route. Or maybe a SLUGGO is the slant and then straight down the seam as opposed to the corner.

Great pass from Ben and great play by Wheaton against Stephon Gilmore. That's the sort of play that Manny Sanders would come close to making but somehow manage to not make. Has to be good for Wheaton's confidence to make a play like that "under the lights." I expect lots of good things from him this year even if his stats don't wow you...hard to rack up stats with AB on the other side of you...

As for the other WRs, Moye has no chance at the 53 at this point. He didn't get on the field until quite late. But he could still land on the practice squad.

I saw a couple nice things from Bryant...makes you think he could be a real weapon with Ben throwing him the ball (Jones and Gradkowski are just not accurate enough to throw a catchable ball even to a big target like Bryant).

I watched the play with Wheaton coming right at me. It was a really impressive play to watch develop between the route and Ben buying time in the pocket. And I had the same exact thought about Sanders.

Sluggo is up the seam

Wouldn't mind seeing him step his blocking game up a bit though. Same with Lance Moore who to me has been a bit of a disappointment

Yeah the blocking needs to improve, Moore I think will be fine overall....

Big Ben is poised to have himself a great year behind this offensive line coached by Mr. Munchak with his crew of smurf receivers. I'm so glad Manny "i can't catch a cold when it counts" Sanders is now with Mr. Chokester himself Peyton Manning in Denver. Hoping we can make a nice run deep into the playoffs and compete for #7 this year.....

dang, he looked good on that play!!! Also, Ben looked REAL good too!!!

I'm sure some of you greatly appreciated what he did with the ball AFTER scoring ... that's OLD SKOOL ;)

What would be really cool is if when Wheaton makes a great catch or a TD the fans imitate Big Bang Theory's Sheldon and his "WHEATONNNNNN" (like Kirk saying Khan in Wrath of Khan). That would be awesome! reminiscent of the Fans saying Norm with Cheers music playing when Norm Johnson would walk out on the field.

How about dunking it over the goal post version of it? He stands back about 15ft and jumps to dunk, but actually flips it through........ Naaa that would suck!! Leave that to graham from New Orleans. Wheaton is handling himself very well. I think he will do just fine as he is doing.

Wouldnt be surprised if this is the reason JBrown is being worked into the slot. Better blocking.

Looked like Limas Wheaton against the iggles. At least Archer can catch....
