Why is Matt Canada employed?

This right here. I recently saw two bookface "memory" posts where I was bitching about Ariens throwing short and bubble screens. Another day I was bitching about Haley throwing short and too many bubble screens...

It's capt Cool Shades who is the problem. Keep blaming the O' coordinators and keep firing them. It doesn't matter who the Steelers bring in, It'll be the same Steelers offense.

Canada is no prize....but let's be realistic here. Mitch Trubisky just SUCKS! He's AWFUL!
 
I don't know. I try to stay positive. But we just aren't seeing anything different. That playcalling on those two drives when down 17-14, just awful. And it isn't likie the Pats, with the exception of that one pass were going downfield. It is just designed better for some reason. I really think if Belechick could only communicate through blinking his eyes he could still outcoach Tomlin and anyone on the Steeler staff.
 
Remember when the narrative was a stubborn, old, immobile, weak armed Ben was hamstringing Canada's offense???

Now we have spent 10's of millions on the oline, got the QB they wanted day one of free agency, and drafted offense with the first 2 pics, and the offense looks EXACTLY THE SAME as last year!

In two games i count 3 targets for Pickens and only pushing the ball downfied once outside of the last 2 minutes of a half! Absolutely pathetic

It's actually worse. Now you don't have a qb who can run that 2 min come from behind offense to save the day.

Things have gone from bad to worse. I don't see a sliver of hope with what's going on.

And they never change anything during the season. So we're ******.

I am not here to hype Trub. But, ignoring the QB play did you just watch the routes we ran (or the non-routes that existed in the middle .... again). If we want Pickett I have no issues. But, if you want to excuse the Finct 2.0 offense then, frankly, you are wrong.
 
If Tomlin is this great coach of all time why in the second half was the same offense being run. What he has nothing to say at half time. Then just listening to his post-game speech was enough to gag about. Tomlin choose these coaches he is as much to blame as Canada and his new offense. I bet Ben snicker's in his basement watching what he got blamed for last year be the same this year. Odd how only Mitch is seen just as Ben last year.
 
Mitch pretty much just called out Canada. Good for you. Ben allowed people to write that his arm was shot and it was his fault.

Mitch when asked about what they need to do to throw over the middle answers---Call concepts to get the WRs there.

But we did see progress this week. No jet sweeps. Belichick would have stopped them for losses. Is Canada learning a little bit about the NFL?

But if the QB play improves with another QB under center doesn't that increase the chances of victory? Not that the OC isn't a problem.

Canada has had a hall of famer and Trubisky just in Pittsburgh. Put Aaron Rodgers or Carr or Lamar back there. They too would suffer from this bullshit lateral offense.

Hey Matt...the Endzone is --------> that way. You run all of your plays Left and Right of that line. News Flash: Players in the NFL are all elite and fast enough to destroy that college-level game-planning bullshit.

Let’s say the O continues to suck and they finally decide to fire Canada. Who would be a good replacement? I would assume they would promote within since it is during the season- anyone you want to see run the O?

I was hoping they would bring in an ex NFL coach that at one time specialized in lethal offenses.

I guess flores would be the choice he at least has coaching exp and he is the one farthest away from the offensive system we have. I think Flores could at least game plan some vertical passes. I just don't see Canada being fired mid season though. Right now its Mitchs fault. Bring in Kenny and then the blame will be he is a rookie. Everyone will get blame but Tomlin and Canada

I can’t remember the last time we even changed Coordinators in the middle of the season but with that being said I don’t see it happening.
