Why Trump will win

Goldman Sachs employs 40,000 people and $10B is a small fraction of the taxes the’ve paid over the past two decades, unlike Trump whose failed businesses employee nobody and hasn’t paid taxes in the past two decades.
Flog,

Here is some of the history of GS. This is the single best piece on their effect on society, globally, written as the recovery from the real estate bubble they helped create and then capitalized on was finally abating:

Add in Steeltime's links above. Are these really the people you want advocating for your future?

Anything can happen, and I have no idea how the election will turn out. I was surprised that he won in 2016. I would be shocked if he won in 2020. He lost the popular vote in 2016, which isn't unprecedented, and won the election by narrowly carrying a few swing states. I don't really see all of those stars aligning for him in 2020, but anything is possible. I don't know how far behind he was in the polls this close to the election in 2016, but I don't recall him ever being down 14 points, or whatever the current margin is. I really don't think the guy knows how to help himself. I doubt many fence sitters were pulled into his camp by his last debate performance, which may end up being his last debate performance.

There aren't many fence sitters. This is a Base Election.

Read an interesting comment yesterday that said to the effect that Ds are motivated by anger, and Rs motivated by fear. Which will drive more turnout?

Anger as a motivation can only last so long. That's why you have Michelle and Obeyme lecturing the young every cycle, and new racial flashpoint stories offered every cycle to stoke the otherwise ambivalent hive who have no stake in the ground and little fear of "loss."

Hence the Trump strategy of peeling away Biden's angry base and painting Biden as a sellout.

Do you really think Trump is down 14-16 points nationally? Or are they laying the groundwork to say there's no way Biden could have lost and Trump again stole the Election with help from Putin? More projection because the Ds are the ones who intend to make full use of theft and fraud.

Meanwhile, Rs and rural folk live always with the specter of the Apocalypse hardwired into their DNA and in their sacred writings. That we're losing the country, and World Government/Communism is imminent.

Rest assured that base will show up. They are afraid, and now they are just as angry too.

Even if Trump was the loser you insist that he is, what does it say that he defeated Hillary Clinton who had the fawning media, M-I-C, and Wall Street wind at her back? That's still a tough pill to swallow and lefties -- the Uniparty for that matter -- have never gotten over an outsider showing them up and exposing decades of graft and failure.

That the movie Idiocracy was more sadly prophetic than it was funny.

The better question would be, "why did the DNC in the last 2 cycles insist on nominating the ONLY 2 candidates in the primary field who could lose to Trump?" The only 2 who would have had a marked enthusiasm gap in Biden and a likeability gap with The Harridan.

In 3 cycles, Joe Biden had never won a single State Primary until the DNC closed ranks behind him in SC. It was like Make-A-Wish Day at Spring practice when the jocks hand the ball to the special needs kid and give him a 21 Man Escort to Pay Dirt.

The disdain and angst have been very misplaced. The wounds are largely self-inflicted.

Apparently this would be the case with Trog. There are 22 pages on the Why Biden thread, and if the user track is accurate, he not only didn't comment, but hasn't read it either. So yes, rage plays a role.

LOL. Bankruptcy, right! I think I’ll vote for the Presidential candidate that doesn’t have any, let alone SIX!

Maybe I haven't frequented this board long enough to understand why Coach gets the flack he does over in the football forum, but it easy to understand why you deserve what you're getting.
Coming out of bankruptcy 6 times and ending up a millionaire should tell you something.

t was either Henry Ford or Walt Disney that said the if you haven't gone into bankruptcy at least once you aren't a true entrepreneur.

Trump rally on Rush Limbaugh's show today.

Rush does a fantastic job asking learned questions and allowing Trump to really outline the success of the Administration.

Me too, and I've been retired for a couple of years. How can that be?

Two words:

White.
Supremacy.

You stole from the taxpayer for years, used your position to make yourself millions and your spouse millions, now live in your walled mansion with security, and lecture the rest of us about how bad we are.

Oops, sorry, I thought I was talking to Nancy Pelosi.

have you seen all the NYC Jews protesting in the streets? NY has had some harsh lockdowns and maybe some people didn't like their loved ones being sentenced to death by Cuomo when he sent covid patients into nursing homes.

He has as good of a chance of winning California.

Trump is set to take an epic electoral beating here. The denial from his supporters is just sad at this point.

They can claim "but 2016" all they want, but the polls were much closer at this time in 2016 than they are now.

Trump was basically even with Clinton in Florida and is currently 4-7 points behind Biden there.

Also, though I do not think Trump is in any real danger of losing Texas or Georgia, Biden is performing much better in those states than Clinton did heading into the election four years ago.

That does not reflect well for Trump as it pertains to the electorate as a whole.

Y'all keep believing all those polls. Heck Biden is so far ahead I wouldn't even bother going and voting for him.
