Even though they got some key states like Pennsylvania and Michigan wrong in 2016, they were right on with the national vote, and the margins in key states are even further against Trump this time.

Ultimately, people have to go vote, but the likely voting demographics are not in Trump's favor, not even remotely so.

Clinton could not sufficiently get black voters to the polls and lost a lot of suburban Democrats to Trump. Biden will not have either of those problems.

A lot of Democrats in general, had trust issues with Clinton which propelled them to roll the dice on Trump. Biden doesn't have those issues. It's going to be significantly harder to get those voters to cross party lines again.

I'm sure you'll find isolated examples of blacks or white Democrats who will vote for Trump, but it will not be enough to meaningfully move the needle this time.

What people don't realize is If Trump can just cut a few points off the black vote for Dems then he's made great strides. Same with Latinos. Blacks (contrary to popular belief) don't like Biden. Yeah I should have clarified that better, I know Trump isn't going to outright win the black vote (that would be impossible), but if he gets 15% of their vote (and I actually think he'll get more like 20%), Biden's done. The Latino vote is trickier for this election IMO. I know people saw that Telemundo poll of Hispanics they polled on who they thought won the first Presidential debate: Trump 66% Biden 34%.

To me that was a pretty stunning number (especially when I myself didn't think Trump won that debate).
