Just another weird sun, moon, and stars alignment. They would have been out after 16 games.
Except the schedule would have been totally different. They would have had to play the second game against Baltimore, so one of the first 16 games would not have been scheduled. Which one? Not to mention that every other schedule in the league would have been different. Bad logic.Just another weird sun, moon, and stars alignment. They would have been out after 16 games.
Nooe, the 17th game was Seattle, a win, so yes without it they would have missed utterlyExcept the schedule would have been totally different. Meh the rigidity of the gameplan sometimes rubs me wrong… for instance that first KC game it feels like they gameplanned to neutralize a player that didn’t play…. And when he failed to clear protocols they didn’t have a plan B ready, they just rolled with what they hadI think one thing we are forgetting is that the Steelers (if I remember correctly) played the toughest schedule in the league this year.
Couple that with absolutely mind-numbing decisions to pass on teams with weak run-defenses and run on teams with abysmal pass defenses along with Matt Canada's absolute refusal to do anything that looks remotely logical from an offensive standpoint and one feels as though the team really has played a hell of a season.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not applauding Tomlin for overcoming adversity. I truly do look at some of the gameplans and the decisions made on the prep-side and in-game and I'm utterly baffled by what I feel is just "the dumbness".
Sure, I'm no coach and I haven't played at a significant level. I don't pretend to know the minutiae of football physics, but sometimes you just feel like there's a very real "the dumbness" controlling what this team does.
On a serious note
Obviously the league added the game for the $$$$denar$$$$.
If you look back at Tomlin's play-off birth there is no surprise of him squeaking in, the 17th game would be no different.
The real question is could Tomlin karma view this 17th game as a playoff win and actually think this next game is the teams 2nd round game ? We are now in uncharted territory and could slip through all the way with a SB victory.
Karma can be fickle and if anyone is going to cash in on a disoriented karma stretch, Coach Tomlin will.
Salute the nation
Again, you're saying that on a game winning kick, they pay kickers to sometimes have the ball hit the upright and the bounce one way or the other? They pay WR to catch the ball and then be sure to just tap a toe in bounds one time, and out of bounds another time? Some of you need some damn fine tinfoil for your hats.I know one thing, if they win the Super Bowl with this team anybody who thinks it’s not rigged should be slapped!
Believe what?all the more to believe in Tomlin.
