Ok. Admittedly, we went for the late TD to get Ben the record.

Now, you can say that's a bit of a dick move but the truth is the Rats had already run one back for a TD on a kickoff and proven that they could score off special teams and with the record looming, you HAD to know that was something that the Steelers were considering going for. So, is it a dick move? Maybe, but there's plenty of justification for it. The fact is, we weren't running well at all against that Raven's front.

Now. The Ravens running a hurry up, spiking the ball and trying for a dream-pass when you're down by 20 with 2 seconds left?

You have 2 possible reasons for that.

A) You're a complete douche-bag that really just wants to possibly lower the margin of loss to 12 points for some inexplicable reason. In fact you want to lower that margin so badly that you're willing to risk your QB who's been hit over and over and over again in the game and who was in fact hit AGAIN on the last play.

B) You've actually instructed people on your offense to go out and try to hurt somebody on the defensive side of the ball in an attempt to injure them. For no other reason than your a Raven head coach with a serious narcissism problem and you can't stand the fact that you not only got your *** kicked on national television, but that your team just gave up a major NFL record to a hated rival QB.

By the way, did Harbaugh ever make it to mid-field to shake Tomlin's hand? I know Tomlin was looking for him but I didn't see them meet before the broadcast switched over.

That sort of begs the question of why were the teams all lovey-dovey after the game. Tomlin hugging Suggs?

the last TD wasn't a dick move, the ravens threw the kitchen sink on Ben, he was just trying to run up the clock. The D left Spaeth completely open, if not it would've been a 1st Down but never a TD, Ben just took what the D gave him

I have no problem with the PA pass for the TD to Spaeth. I think it was the right call to finish the game. Don't think they did it to get a record for Ben. They got lucky Spaeth was able to score. A first down there would have killed the game.

Every opportunity Ben gets to light up a defense he should take it. Has nothing to do with records. Records are made to b broken anyway, it's about winning.

Punt was useless. Field goal risky, couldn't possibly run, they were in goaline. It was the right call. Had nothing to do with running up the score. If the situation was reversed, I wouldn't have the least bit of problem with it. The game is over when the final whistle sounds or it is mathmatically impossible. Had they been up by 24 that would have been different.

Well, I wouldn't be surprised if they WERE going for the TD. In fact I would be disappointed if they weren't. I bet every damn Steeler fan in the world wanted play-action on that previous 3rd down.

I don't have a problem at all with them going for the TD. As I said the situation in the game called for it given the intensity of the rivalry and the fact that the Ravens had already shown that they could score quickly. I DO have a problem with them (the Ravens,) doing the bullshit hurry up and spike the ball crap in an attempt to get the score a little closer. Nothing significantly positive could have happened on that final play except the potential for injury.

It was an arrogant, emotional move by a dick-head coach. Like I said he was either completely unable to stand losing by 20, or he was hoping somebody would get hurt. He's THAT narcissistic.

I think after Flacco's post game interview after they put a beating on us talking about how we used to be a team to reckon with but now we are just an easy W had a lot to do with us keeping the pedal to the floor.

I do think total points scored is a tie breaker..dont care what team did what

Not a dick move. I wish we could have scored seven TDs

I think it is pretty clear they were going for the record. The game was not in doubt and they could have just gotten the first down and ran the clock out.

I believe that is correct or something based on points is a tie breaker. Have no problem with the last touchdown by the Steelers. Trying to put the game out of reach is a smart move, it eliminates a quick touch down on the kick off and the possibility of a successful onside kick or a fumbled kick off reception. Fluke plays happen. A defensive penalty could move the opposition into scoring range very easily and it is possible to put points up quick. Only being up by two scores is not enough now. One needs 3 or four to really consider the game locked up with the way the game is now.

Do you really believe Baltimore would not have tried to score, heck they even called time out with game at six seconds. I was glad they went for it they need to have this attitude more often.

If you're offended by your opponent scoring more points.. to the point you think they should STOP gaining yardage and STOP scoring points because it hurts your tender feelings.. then you don't belong in pro sports.

Also.. think back to 1997. Entering Week 17, we had to stay within a certain number of points of the Oilers to win the division. I know that's extremely rare, but would you want to be the coach who basically threw a fourth quarter to avoid hurting someone's feewings.. then missed the playoffs because of it?

They should have scored a touchdown for every cheap shot the Ravens Defense we committing during the game.

In this NFL 2 scores in 2 minutes is completely doable... there is no reason to let off the gas ever until you can run out the clock. We got to get our heads out of 70's 80's and 90's football... in this era points are easy and PIs are frequent... cannot let up...

We shouldve did an ONside kick after the Spaeth TD and pending TWO POINT CONVERSION. Thats a DICK move.

I fully support this move. Remember in 2011 when Hairball went for two after being up 34-7 in week 1? I do! This was paypack. Suck it Hairball!

If the Ravens did not want to give up a 6th TD pass, maybe they should have played better defense. And offense. And covered receivers. And generated pass pressure. This is the NFL. These guys get paid to play. If you don't want the other team to score so much, then stop them.

Let me be clear. I was saying the 6th TD pass was justified. I was contesting the Ravens attempting to score late in the game. Clearly we were not only trying to definitively put the game away, but get the record for Ben. That was fair and justifiable. The Ravens spiking the ball and going for another play with 2 seconds left was bush-league.

I don't think Tomlin did it for the record, I think he did it to dagger those ******* in the heart.

Killer instinct. I think we have it now. Pour it on, and don't let em up like the Miami Hurricanes.

I love it. Keep stomping teams out, never let up like we did in Tampa and give teams fresh life. We let Ben throw for the first against Tampa and we win. Tomlin learned from that **** up and I'm glad to see it on the field.
