I'll say this as neither a Never-Trumper or True Believer (or whatever the hell labels they want to put on us), on the surface I see one glaring contradiction: if it's titled "Fear" as in Trump is this evil dictator who's subordinates never dare cross him, how is he an "idiot" or has the intelligence of a "5th or 6th grader"?

Seems another smear campaign on a guy they desperately want out of the White House.

I'm surprised Elfie hasn't posted anything on it saying Trump is now truly done for. That the pie is ready. There are probably a few thousand articles & opinions on it already so I just figured I'd just post a link to the book. Opines?

Well, Elfie got the PERMANENT Ban Hammer...so don't expect a response until he/she/it comes back under PoloMalu43 or some other alias she/he/it uses.

Well that's good news about Elfie really because Ze was nothing but a belligerent troll who spewed nothing but hate and just lived to troll others.

Same thing they did with Bush...he was both the evil mastermind who perpetuated a massive global conspiracy known as 9/11, and also a complete blithering idiot.

I really do think Trump is out of touch with and ignorant about world affairs...I've said this from way back in the primaries. I also do think he's losing his marbles a bit, and that is not from this book or any other media reports but just from some of the things he says and does himself.

That said this book is probably quite a bit exaggerated. And even if true certainly doesn't paint a picture of someone who's capable of conspiring with Russia to influence an election. Sorry Tibs.

I have a totally different take. You do realize that President Xi in China is in huge trouble, because of the Trump effect. There are riots in the streets, and Xi is under fire domestically. Trump is re-negotiating all of the bad trade deals this country was sucked into. Where you think he is ignorant in world affairs is yet to be revealed.

Secondly, the amount, and level, of attacks that this President in continually subjected to is without precedent. I feel he is holding up very well despite the onslaught. He uses Twitter to fight back in the court of public opinion.

It is the Left that are losing their marbles. They are destroying civility, and trying to shut down speech. Look at the Kavanaugh hearing today if you need evidence.
And I laugh at them.

I do think he came into this job knowing a bit about about international trade, I'll give him that. I don't really agree with his policies on that and think they will do more harm than good in the long run but I get where he's coming from there. The labor unions sure do love it.

I think there are people around him who do guide him in the right direction on certain things. I don't think he really has any in-depth understanding of anything.
Let me know when you can quote him having an intelligent in-depth discussion of any foreign policy (or for that matter, domestic policy) issue. He has a few talking points on unemployment figures etc. someone has obviously given him that he repeats ad nauseum but beyond that I've seen no evidence to the contrary. I wish I were wrong.

But yes, the left is of course losing their marbles, lost a lot of them a long time ago. Both can be true.

I look at this way. What has Trump done to warrant these vicious attacks on his Presidency? He tried diplomacy with North Korea, has imposed sanctions on Russia and other foreign governments/entities that aren't in alignment w/ America's best interests (something the previous administration failed to even attempt) and promotes America and the American workers' best interests from everything I've seen. There have been no widespread ISIS attacks on American soil or any substantive instances from our staunch allies, so what exactly is the problem, really?

To my mind, from what I hear from the MSM, he's unhinged somehow. His cabinet is dysfunctional and unable to adequately do their jobs because he's such an irresponsible child. How is he able to govern our country so effectively that we have rising GDP, wage growth and record-low unemployment? He's negotiating trade deals that are fair for Americans. He's standing up to China.

I just don't get the hate.

He tweets out of hand? He's unconventional and says some stupid ****? Show me one instance where this administration is failing the American people and maybe I'll take some notice.

What his administration has been able to do is possibly quite different from what he personally is capable of doing. I've felt from the beginning that he really never had any interest in the actual performance of this job. He's perfectly happy being a personality and not dealing with the day to day workings of running the country. I'm sure there are people more than willing to take that over for him.

That's just always been my sense, and the more inside information that comes out of this White House the more convinced I am that I am right about that.

I'm not even saying it's necessarily only a bad thing. Let him cater to his base and let the people who know what they're doing run the country. I'm ok with that. It's certainly better than if Hillary was running the country.

As far as the hate the left hates all Republicans and unfortunately he has given them WAY too much fodder with his insensitive comments and his disgusting behavior towards women.

You are wrong, and you have been wrong for three years. You are borderline Tibs delusional. Not quite, but close.

Being a Washington outsider, Trump made some bad choices, based upon bad recommendations for Admin officials. I think he is starting to get things, and is getting **** right in that regard. I also think guys like Mattis and Kelly are starting to get him. Of course he relies upon advisors. who doesn't.

Secondly, I don't listen to what he says. I watch what he does.

I think I've been very balanced in my assessment of both him and what his administration has done. I understand both his appeal and his limitations.

Unlike some people here who think every super dumb thing he does is somehow secretly ingenious, and every negative thing reported about him is a complete made-up lie.

This is one of the stupidest things I've heard about Trump, and that's saying something. It you can't see that he's running the show over there, you just are not dealing with reality. The only show he's let run itself was the budget process, and that was a **** show. Otherwise, he's doing exactly what he said he was going to do. Actually, he says what he is going to go, tweets that he is about to do it, and then tweets while he is doing it; so I have no idea how you are missing it.

..

Yeah,...they're called advisers. Every President has them,..duh.

Classic description of Obama.

I wish i could make up nonsense about people I despise and attribute it all to an unnamed source...

The left with their never-ending platform of accusations without proof on Trump with the aid of media coverage has likely influenced 5% of the voters who voted for Trump*to change their minds.

We'll see how midterms go, but for his first two years, Trump has transformed the economy for the better and is weeks away from getting his second supreme court justice.* He has also issued many executive orders. * He won't be removed from office, that takes impeachment first, and a 2/3 vote from the Senate.** Impeachment with no grounds of proof would be the low point for USA politics, as all it takes is a majority of Congress.

The left, which no favors socialism over our current system better be careful what they wish for.* Let's*suppose the unlikely happens*Trump is forced out, and Ruth Ginsberg expires.** You'll get an even more conservative President in Pence, likely to nominate an evangelical Supreme Court Justice with an assured payback for whomever the next Democratic President is.

Dem's will not win control of the Senate, but they might take back the house.*

He's running "the show" indeed. I don't think he's running the government really.

Like I said, if I ever see him have an intelligent in-depth discussion about anything (that isn't a prepared speech) I will be very relieved and happily admit I'm wrong.

And I realize people like that about him...he's simplistic. That appeals to people. It's just not my thing.
