Colbert or Tomlin whoever has the final say needs to go

this is like arguing with a wall
you simply MUST be intentionally obtuse. no other way around it.

Lambert had superior talent around him, so Timmons compares to him?
Farrior was the better player, that doesn't mean Timmons is a bum, Timmons has turned into a damn good player, but Farrior was the better all around player

Wait a minute. You can't seriously be comparing Farrior to Lambert. Lambert was by far and away a HOF player. Neither Timmons nor Farrior are even close. The gap between Farrior and Timmons (if there is one) is waaaay smaller than the gap between Lambert and either.

it's been established that the gap between Farrior and Timmons is deeper than the Mariana Trench. pay attention.

Ok, didn't see this. And I agree that Farrior was a better "all around player". Just don't agree that the talent gap is as large as some would have you believe. As a matter of fact, I'd say Timmons is physically more naturally talented. What separates them is the intangibles (quickly diagnosing plays, command of the defense, things of that nature).

Guys, please stick to the topic.

FIRE TOMLIN or COLBERT or BOTH!!!!!!!!

Im still waitin on you, Walter (aka Franco) or Omar to provide a name of a Tomlin replacement should he be fired..its easy to dump **** on a coach because you dont like his style or decisions but if you cant come up with a replacement head coach whom you know can do better, youre just spinnin wheels. Whom should Rooney go after and why ?

I saw Farrior as a rock in the middle, in both phases of the game. Timmons is anything in the world but a rock.

What's the point? Numerous posters including myself have provided wish lists and interesting names many, many times over. They get ignored.

Well regurgitate those names because i remember someone in here calling for one Greg Schiano, Ken Whisenhunt...another asking for Jim Harbaugh or Rex Ryan....someone else recently wanted Munchak to take over head coaching duties......

And they get ignored for good reason.....

But remind us whom your choices would be....AVAILABLE CHOICES

Please explain what I got wrong about your argument.

simply put - Timmons moves around out of necessity due to a roster devoid of enough talent to adequately place next to him so he can play just one position. You've turned that into something entirely different. somehow. yet that is your talent.

Dungy. Next question.

Wasnt Dungy's teams considered the epitome of soft??

Firstly, that sounds to me like it constitutes a committee since it is a body of people that make their choice.

Secondly, that schtick is soooo tired. Ok, I'm gonna play Idiot's game now and give you a taste of your own medicine. Ready? Show me where in the history of this message board have I EVER said "Lawrence Timmons is every bit as good as James Farrior". Go ahead and I'll wait. Also while your at it show me where I EVER said these words "In my mind based on what I see, Timmons is a very good player."...or how about "It is my honest opinion that Timmons was the correct draft pick." Go ahead and hunt it down.

Just a reminder...If you can't find those PRECISE words, you are wrong and I will deny it. And there had better not be one vowel, consonant or conjunction that differs in any way whatsoever from what I have ordered you to find. It has to be that identical statement or it never happened. So why don't you spend the next 24 hours searching a message board trying to come up with it? While you are at it, you should probably try to locate the old board in case it was on there and search that one in it's entirety. That should take you until sometime in February or March. If you wish to meet your own challenge you need to find it.

This game is fun huh? Just thought you would like to try it out for once and see what it's like for everyone else when you go into Politician Schtick mode. Happy hunting! Try to pin down the elusive whirling dervish Idiotique! You'll never get me!

Now it is you, sir...who has been put on the clock. Tick....tick...tick.

"Lawrence Timmons is every bit as good as James Farrior"
You said it just above...

It is my honest opinion that Timmons was the correct draft pick.
Found this one too...

What do I win again?

I'm not familiar with the college coaches, nor have been following the NFL as closely as I used to, so couldn't comment on the next upcoming young assistant coach. But it should not be difficult for the Rooneys to find a replacement for Tomlin, worst case scenario the pull one out of the hat the same way they did with Tomlin.

The problem is the next HC will inherit a QB at the end of his career, a roster full of holes and no player development programme in place. Huge task.

I see the message board GMs are hiring & firing coaches. If only this was Madden and you had that luxury...

Oh. So your point is that Timmons is moved around like a chess piece of devastation. You're saying he's our Scottie Pippen.

The guy can't even play Buck without help.

These guys in the booth AINT comin out the booth..that includes Cowher, Dungy, Gruden, Jimmy etc..........try again !!!

and just how the **** do you know that for a fact??

Blitz, give me a break. I could say God Almighty and you'd find fault with it. It is what it is.

Well, prior to last offseason I was all about Bill O'Brien. He's gone, so I'd turn my attention to Darrell Bevel or Dan Quinn from Seattle. And I don't buy for one second that Rex Ryan is a ****** coach - while I wouldn't necessarily prefer him to Tomlin, I'd consider it. And I don't know why Harbaugh is on your no-no list.

From the college ranks, I love David Shaw, but I think he's staying for awhile.

If any of those guys wanted to coach theyd be back already........Chicago, NYJ, MIA, Buffalo, HOU, SF, Tenn, SD, KC have all had openings for head coaches the last two or three seasons...those are some decent franchises with great ownership unlike Cleveland, Oakland or Jax. What exactly are those guys waiting on ?.......none of em want the Dallas job should it come available (Jimmy been there, done that and wont **** w Jerry anymore)....I mean, whats the ideal job today ?
