Steelers have some of the worst ones in the NFL.
Austin is a Tomlin puppet, Hated the Artie hire, and Pat Meyer needs fired yesterday. The entire coaching staff needs to be overhauled. Rooney needs to be involved, or you need to show Tomlin the door too. Best thing would be a complete collapse and another one and done. Maybe then Rooney will figure out major changes need to happen. The scheme on both sides of the ball is complete trash. So tired of watching this movie year after year.

At the very least, there needs to be changes at DC and OL coach.

I'm not very familiar with their DB coach, but given how much Minkah and JPJ have regressed, a move seriously needs to be considered there as well.

I'm on the fence regarding the OC spot. Smith has a track record of success at the position with the Titans where Ryan Tannehill looked like an all pro under him for a couple years.

Smith wasn't as successful with the Falcons, but being a HC is completely different and some are just not cut out for it.

This season has been a mixed bag for him, as the Steelers until recently had been scoring more points than they have in years, but there are a lot of issues emerging late in the season.

Saying that, it's unclear exactly how much Tomlin influences the scheme and game planning and the impact that has.

That is the overriding issue, as changing assistants is largely irrelevant if the man in charge doesn't permit meaningful change in how things are being taught and schemed.
